Stayed three nights for a conference. Good location between the financial district and back bay. The room was fine, nothing special. View from 8th floor was directly into a neighboring office building. Staff was friendly and courteous, though not terribly helpful with basic things like locating a cab.

Room was not ready for 3 hours after arriving. Concierge never called us, but when we went to the front desk after walking around Boston for a few hours the room was ready for us. Room was very nice but there were tons of ways to accidently spend too much money, luckily there's a CVS right down the street for when you get the 2am drunk munchies. Room had a window you could open which was very nice.

the W Boston is a great hotel - it is convenient if you are going for either business or leisure. The room had a great size and was very confortable. The staff was courteous and caring. Room service arrived fast as well. This is the type of hotel that hsa great design and can be loud, but it will never disturb the guests like some other hotels.

The W is chic and modern. It's a safe hotel in the theatre district. My only complaint was that the bathtub/shower wasnt as clean as it shouldve been. There was soap spots on the wall from the person who took a shower there last (and it wasn't me). There is also a small vent in the shower that was caked with dust---it was evident that it hasn't been cleaned in weeks---and i found out when the steam from my shower loosened that dust and it started to fall on me when I showered---disgusting!

Hotel was great as far as service, amenities, nightlife, and location. Really, they do a fantastic job there as a staff and you can tell they care about their job and making guests feel welcome. The only thing I would say is that its proximity to Tufts Medical Center means you get to hear ambulance sirens very, very, frequently at night and that can get irritating. Overall it was worth it though because of its location in the city.

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in at a hotel! Bliss Spa toiletries were a really nice addition. The beds were amazing, we hurried back from dinner just to have more time to enjoy the awesome beds and watch movies! The staff was attentive, doors always opened for us, friendly doormen and front desk staff. Truly felt welcome and spoiled. This was my first experience with the W Hotel brand, and would absolutely stay at a W property again! Loved, loved, loved.

I have never had a sleepless night in a hotel room unlit I arrived at this hotel. There is so much noise. The walls were paper thin and you could hear loud music all night long. Also tons of steet noise and sirens all through the night. We asked to be moves to a higher floor and the manager was very accommodating. But seriously?!?! This a is a decent hotel... Not a night club with rooms over it. Didn't they think to put sounds proofing in? We could hear our neighbors full conversations. Doors slamming. Overall I wishes we had booked the Revere a block up the street. Cheaper and hopefully not as loud. With that said. The rooms were just average. The breakfast pices were outrageous. There was NOT a coffee maker in the room. You had to go down to the lobby which I find cheap and annoying. The service was top notch. No complaints there. I feel like they need to work on the basics of hotel management. Anticipating people needs like a coffee maker in my room. Drawers to keep my clothes in that are not on the floor... And more then 2 of them. So to sum up. Good service in a poorly designed hotel.

The W Boston is a great choice. Probably not recommended for families, but for young professionals it's exactly what you want. Plenty of things to do nearby. Centrally located. We were attending a convention and it was a perfect choice.

Booked the Mega Room at the W Hotel Boston for the start of our family vacation. 2 queen size beds proved ample for 2 adults + 2 teenagers.=, with enough room to hang out where were not on top of each other. Nice view from the 12th floor. Excellent attention to detail, from the room furnishings and decor, the Bose sound dock, and ample internet connectivity. Rated room comfort a "4" due to the low counter and seating heights in the bathroom. Location near Chinatown was a bonus, and walking distance to (2) metro stops, the Public Gardens, and many local attractions. Enjoyed dinner at the Beehive, per concierge recommendation, though I would get a ride their next time. We will definitely plan a stay at this hotel on our next trip to Boston.

This hotel while not in the thick of the touristy Boston area was very conveniently located for the purposes of our travel. It was a lovely location, with attentive and friendly staff. Conveniently located within walking distance to some great local eateries and bars. How do they change those floor mats so efficiently?! And we can't get enough of the Bliss products!

After only a 20 minute stay at the yuppiest hotel in boston we noticed the robes were dirty. Staff was unpleasant and refused to help us. We felt extremely out of place. Will never stay there again.

The hotel was centrally located which was great but do not stay in a room facing Stuart especially on the weekend. Our first night was a Friday night and the motorcycles revving and the police sirens were unbearable. Had to request to be moved to an interior room which was much better.

The looks of hotel, rooms, gym is really quite wow! But the staff are the rudest we have come across in our 3 weeks in the US, staying in 5 different cities. It was a huge effort for the receptionist to find a city and subway map. Also don't bother having breakfast in the hotel - pricey and you wait 30 minutes for a basket with bread and muffins!

No included wifi, no coffee maker, not a friendly or informative check in, hard to find light switches at night, bedding that won't stay in place, room keys that don't work, honking cars all night. If you want coffee in the morning line up by a Keurig machine and make your own while people are waiting behind you.

Great stay, the staff are very nice and the rooms are great! Close to every Asian style restaurant you can think of, easy walk to Boston Commons, could even walk to Quincy Square. You can stay here and not have a car, do the subway. I would stay here again!

Service was grossly lacking for the caliber & reputation of the W chain. It appeared that there was either a shortfall of employees or lack of desire to appeal to the client. This particular building's door design leaves it a very interrupting environment; which must be the reasoning behind the free amenities such as earplugs and sound machine; which do not drowned out the vibration of the slamming doors (at all hours of the day and night).

I stayed at the W for 3 day trip in Boston. It was conveniently located from South Station only a few blocks walk through Chinatown. It was also close to the Green, Red and Orange line, which allows you to go to Harvard square and Cambridge easily. The hotel was in great shape, the lobby and the looks very trendy and hip. The rooms were clean and did not have any issues with the noise. A little pricier but if you have money to spare this place is worth it. The place also comes with a free wi-fi and a fitness area that good enough to keep you in shape during your stay.

The front desk folks were great, very friendly. The stylist was somewhat strange, but it was addressed by the assistant manager. The room wasn't made up for over 8 hours and the maid interupted us while we were in the room - ackward situation. Again, the management team responded. We had another issue with the toilet - it wasn't flushing properly. The engineer fixed it but the problem reoccurred again. We didn't report it the second time. The toilet is not right. The front door folks were really friendly too. Overall, I like the W Hotels, but our stay there was not really up to our expectations.

I travel over 100 nights a year. Hotel has fine location and service was fine. Internet was extra. Bed was just ok.The biggest issue was value - expensive compared to peers but certainly not better - probably slightly below peers with regard to space, amenities and overall comfort. You are overpaying for W name at this one in particular.

I don't usually come back to review any trips or hotels but this by far was the worst experience I have ever had! It was my bachelorette weekend and when we first arrived, my girls were told no alcohol was allowed in the rooms as per Massachusetts law? Apparently, a security guard saw my sister carrying a bottle and advised she would need to discard the bottle or give it to them to hold until the end of the trip. I was with (5) woman who are tame to say the least. After that happened we went out for the night and came back and had to show our room key on the way in and only (4) of us were allowed to go up! Now the 5th girl was not staying but did get ready in our room...we had to have someone go up and grab her bags! This was the worst way to end your night. We were not loud or being crazy! I do not understand why the hotel was treating us like some shmoes off the street! We paid over $400.00 for our room and all my friend wanted to do was go the bathroom and grab her bags to head back on the train! This hotel is not made for groups of people. It is meant for a couples trip or else you get treated poorly. I was so unhappy this happened...the hotel itself is SO nice and comfortable but after this happened, I will never stay at another W hotel again. Marriott....HERE I COME!

Very upscale hotel I've seen enough to know the difference. See if they will give you drink credits with your room the cocktails that are like 17 dollars are strong and good. Area is very nice rock bottom across the street has great food. There's a very nice park 2 blocks down that I proposed to my fiancee in, then 2 locals took us to bean town pub and got all of our drinks comped. Love the city, love the people I will be back.

The cleanliness of the hotel room was fine, as expected. The hotel reception staff was not very informative, but fine. My husband and I did not like that the hotel lobby turns into a night club-like-lounge in the evening. We were overwhelmed by the abundance of intoxicated people that were dressed inappropriately. There were a few young girls that waited by the lobby elevators to get to the top floor (you need a key to get to a hotel foor). This elevator should be monitored at all times. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The food offered at the lounge was not good, but to be expected when ordering food from a lounge. Overall, I would rate this hotel a 4 for convenience to the theater district. The surrounding area was all theater, with some sketchy stores in Chinatown that were closed.

We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The only downside was at night the lobby turned into a club, and you have to present your room key to get in at night because there are a lot of clubs in the area with people swarming the streets. We couldn't hear any noise from our room though. All in all I would recommend this hotel! The service was great and the staff was extremely friendly.

The cost of this hotel is hype. I appreciate the more creative decor of images printed on screens. However, the rest is fairly standard mass produced fair. I particularly recall a side table that looked like it needed to be replaced. Overall, the decor reminds me of the family house in Beetlejuice. The front desk folks were super nice and had a calming demeanor. The valet was very kind and helped me run in to check in before parking. The security staff are loud and not welcoming. There was an incident in my hallway while there and I went out of my room, locking myself out. The security guards were louder than the disturbance. And the guard wanted me to prove I was a guest while I was wearing a robe. They have no pool. They have a deal for guests to use the Sheraton pool but it isn't worth the trip. The pool is not very good despite photos online. The sky view online is actually all clouded over. But I did learn that I'd rather stay at the Sheraton just by the feel in the lobby and the concierge service being so great. The Bliss products in the room were nothing to rave about.

Lovely, modern hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Located in the heart of the theater district and near to lots of great restaurants.

I ran into a drunk couple making out in the elevator when I just checked in and then again ran into three drunk girls later in the night in the elevator. I could still hear the loud music next door at around 2:30am. The location is good, but if you are looking for somewhere quiet, i wouldn't recommend it.
