The wonderful room was spacious. It felt so comfy. The staff was friendly and so courteous. Valet parking is $47 a day which was a little steep. "Call ahead for readiness of room"
Check was at 3pm, we arrived at 3:20. The room wasn't ready for almost 2.5 hours. They did comp us a few drinks, which was really nice. Yet we have somewhere to be by 6:30pm. We weren't the only ones that were waiting on room, I believe the whole lounge was waiting with free drinks for their double bed rooms to be ready. We stayed here for one night and has multiple problems with service. We requested an early check in first thing in the morning and didn't get our rooms until 2 hous after normal check in time! We had an amazing time at the W. The staff was accommodating and friendly, our room was absolutely amazing. The only details I seemed to notice were in the bar/lobby area, it could use a deep cleaning. "Everything was perfect"
I'm sitting here trying to think of one thing that was off & I can't. The hotel was in perfect shape. Nothing out of place & everything in great condition. The people who work there were all nice, helpful & really wanted make our stay special. I mean everyone bell hops, front desk, concierge, & bar tenders. Usually you have one 1 person with a bad attitude […] but I couldn't find them. I have always said I will pay a little more for good customer service. This place is 1.5 blocks from the T which makes it easy to get around the city. It is in the heart of the theatre district (wish I would have known we would have gone to a play). "Midnight express right through the room"

"Unauthorized charges by the bar for extra tip"
Hello readers, Both, my friend and I got overcharged for a tip on our credit cards at the bar. Now, I noticed this by accident when I was cleaning out my wallet and found the receipt. I called her and she found that she was also overcharged. Most people won't notice - it's only a few dollars. But in the end of the day, that is Stealing. This is unacceptable […] at any hotel, bar, or store, especially more so at a hotel like W - where I don't expect to have to check my credit cards for fraudulent charges (even if it's a few dollars). "Somewhat of a let down"
When we arrived we walked in the front entrance and couldnt immediately figure out if we were in the lobby or not. We noticed three small podiums in a small space tucked behind the Hotel lounge. There was a couple waiting there but no hotel staff in sight, which added to the confusion of whether or not we were actually in the lobby. I think we expected more of an aesthetic design and space for the lobby since the hotel is pushing such an artistic motif and the Lobby really sets the tone for the whole experience.
