I will look for and stay in Homewood Suites' properties again. The room was comfortable, a staff person helped us figure out which nearby wineries to visit, and the breakfast was decent. The stay at Homewood Suites for me and my three best friends from high school was just terrific. We enjoyed a spa, did major pocketbook damage shopping in downtown Leesburg and the Premier Outlet Mall, reveled in meals at several wonderful restaurants. We had asked for "Connecting Queen rooms," which Hotels.com assured me were available--twice! Homewood Suites does not have Connecting Queens in Leesburg, only Kings. Of course, by the time we arrived, there were no Connecting Kings. The Hotel graciously adjusted our reservation so that we were in side-by-side rooms; the staff were very understanding. But it was still disappointing--and inconvenient to scoot next door when we were in our jammies! Read more

When we got to hotel, they said they do not get information from hotels.com and they could not meet that request. We found this place as safe as any other in America, and the community across the street appears to be made up of typical families with baby strollers and kids playing and people walking dogs and nice townhomes and clean manicured lawns. The only reason I gave it 3/neutral for neighborhood was there's nothing to do within walking distance and we're […] city people so we prefer not needing a car for everything. Still, I can't hold it against Leesburg, so I'm simply neutral. My wife and I are SO happy we ignored that one misguided Tripadvisor review about safety and decided to stay here. I felt compelled to leave this review to counteract the negativity. We stayed in this hotel as a base of operations to explore Virginia's Wine Country. It was located in easy driving distance to downtown Leesburg for most of the restaurants, antique shopping, and coffee houses or even closer to a strip mall with fast food if that's more your thing. Getting to the highways was also easy, though getting back was limited as you can only enter from a few directions. The room was an exceptional value -- free parking, breakfast included (don't expect much, it's the basics of eggs, meat, cereal, fruit, coffee) dinner on weekdays and happy hour with beer & wine, a suite-sized room with a full refrigerator and kitchenette. The room was clean with modern decor - red & black bedspread, comfortable couch, TV in living room & bedroom, large tub shower with separate vanity/sink area. I did not have a chance to use the exercise room but it seemed top-notch as far as hotel gyms go. I have nothing to complain about and would certainly recommend. Also, if you go downtown Lightfoot Restaurant and Shoes Cafe were quite good. Vintage 50 has their own microbrews on tap. And Magnolia's at the Mill was as good as people claim it is (but that's outside Leesburg city) Read more

I have extreme allergies and I really appreciated the lack of strong scents in cleaning solutions, provided soaps, shampoo, etc. There were no sickening air fresheners and non-smoking room really was smoke free.

My son and I planned to bike 50 miles on the C&O Canal Trail on the Potomac River to complete a requirement for a merit badge to help him earn his Eagle Rank in Scouts. We were very surprised with the quality of the hotel. We had a terrific suite that was large and comfortable. The quality was terrific and my wife, hard to please, LOVED it. When we drove to the hotel, it was in an odd place - around a few corners from where I'd usually expect to see a hotel and there were lots of people milling around with police out and about - but it seemed like a decent neighborhood. There was no trouble and we thought the place was terrific. You'd never get this quality and size at such a good price in DC and we were only 25 miles away when our team extracted us and got us back "home" in one place. Then the hot tub came in handy.
