TIMBERLINE LODGE - Mount Hood

Pretty expensive, but then it's an iconic ski lodge during ski season. the views are fantastic, the staff quite helpful but the rooms were WAY too warm, made it hard to sleep. It was perfect for watching her ski...just walked down the hill a little way and there it was.

Beautiful views. Nice place. Only complaint is that the restaurant closes at 8pm, we arrived at 8:20pm and they turned us away.

Helpful staff, great location. This historic hotel is definitely worth staying for the overall atmosphere, although expensive. Don't expect up-to-date comfort, the rooms are quite small, but remind of old fashioned alpine cabins with rustic comfort and hand-made furniture.

A very old hotel with charm. The restaurant was very expensive and their website indicated it was cheaper so that was a surprise. There was a couple of holes on the baseboards of the room. The room was small along with the shower and bathroom areas but it was a old so that is be expected. Many hikers were coming off the trails and didn't shower so that […] made it hard to walk by a few of them. Not sure why there are showers in the room. Just common courtesy. Read more

Really nice hotel to stay at. Location was perfect, be sure you bring chains for your car even in April they are needed. The rooms were nice, but not very well maintained, walls are thin and shower water pressure poor . They have an amazing out door pool. Loved it. Just an amazing testament to craftsmanship, and the surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful. Go for a room with a fireplace, hire a copy of The Shining on DVD from reception, and enjoy!

This is an old hotel in an ideal setting. Could see Mt. Hood out our window and the Pacific Crest Trail is a few steps away. However, our room was tiny. The windows had to be propped open, there was a blind on one window, but not the other, curtains did not cover window completely, etc. Although old, these are things that should have worked. Linens […] were nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I would recommend the hotel to others only because of its setting, which again, is fabulous. 以前泊まって、大変良かったので、2度目の宿泊でしたが、今回予約されていた部屋は、10人が2段ベッドで泊まれる大部屋でした。メールを確認すると、5 BUNK BEDS SLEEPS 10 SPACIOUS と書かれていたので、そう言う意味だったかと冷や汗がでました。当日、満室で、他の部屋に変更も出来ず、悲しい思いをしました。いくら、10人泊まれる2段ベッドの部屋を2人で使っていいと言われても、あまりにも悲惨な部屋でした。がっかり。　もしこれが、新婚旅行だったら、離婚間違いなしです。　幸い、われわれは老夫婦でそのような問題は生じませんが。　Hotel.com さんも、予約時にもう少し、丁寧に説明してくれれば良かったのに。

ホテルは作りが凝った古いもので全体の雰囲気はたいへん良く、6月にも関わらずスキーができ、眺望は最高でした。スキーができるとは言え道には雪は全くなくドライブは快適でした。一番安い部屋にもかかわらず窓から遠くの山々が見渡せました。しかしながら、部屋は若干古くて、狭いうえ、エアコンか換気扇のような音がひどく気に障りました。
