We arrived at the hotel late in the night and the front desk took 15 min to show up and then they gave us a room that smelled like spices but we were so tired we didn't want to get another room. I stayed two nights here and was very happy with everything about it. It was really close to the metro bus AND the green line. It's not too far from some good restaurants and a shopping center, although it's not close to a market. I had to take the bus a little bit down to get to Firestone blvd where there's a Ralphs and more restaurants. The desk receptionist […] was super friendly in a sweet, modest way. The room was clean although the air from the conditioning system seemed to get trapped behind the short curtains and stay there but it was okay because I wouldn't have wanted it to get cold since we didn't really have blankets. We had a thin comforter and a sheet. I didn't mind since it wasn't cold but if it was cold, it would've been a problem. Otherwise, we loved having a flat screen tv with a clear picture and good cable stations. The continental breakfast was standard. Would've been nice to have some water in addition to coffee or juice. Stayed here for work. Location was perfect for my work but still not too far from downtown or the beaches. It's close to a shopping center with some big name box stores and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Overall my experience was quiet and clean which is all I really wanted. "Constant Room Shifting"
Booked for 4 night king bed.After the first night the AC Stopped working and I had to call up the reception.They informed that I will have to wait until the next morn for them to repair and that they can accommodate me to one other room. I was shifted to a larger room more spacious double bed but they informed that I need to vacate the room early next […] day before 10. With a family of a 2 yr old kid it is technically not possible to leave half of my stuffs at one room and carry just a handful of things. I had to shift most of my belongings. Next day I contacted the reception and asked if I can continue my stay for the rest of the three night in the new room. I explained that I have a 2 yr old kid and I have literally moved 80 p.c of my stuffs. I was surprised to hear that they will not be able to accommodate me in the new room because that is a “suite" and I need to pay extra $25 per night to continue to stay. This room was spacious but does not include a kitchen and no way it was a 'suite'.. After much discussion they accommodated me on a 1st floor room. But I was left wondering why I was not allowed to stay in the temporary room at the same price. With my experiences earlier any hotel management would have upgraded me free of cost considering the inconvenience caused because of the movement. The front desk also to my surprise informed that I should not be having any problem as they had relocated a lot of guests following the AC problem on 2nd floor. Overall, the experience at this hotel was good. We spent 7 nights here while exploring LA. One day, the A/C broke in half of the rooms so we got a new room as soon as we noticed this. "Staff is terrible"
Won't be staying again. Had to ring the buzzer about five times to wake the graveyard employee who barely spoke English. After a five hour drive, he took his time checking us in which took about fifteen minutes. He didn't seem to mind the fact that it was 3am. Room was very comfortable and clean. Microwave, fridge, coffee, everything you need is in […] room. When it came to check out, I had to struggle again with the staff. Employee on phone told me I had the option of checking out 1 or 2 hours after the normal 11am checkout. I tell him I'd prefer two extra hours. At 12:30 a different employee comes knocking at the door telling to us we must leave. After explaining to him the conversation I had with the other man, he insists WE were mistaken and we leave about ten mins later. Maybe it's because I'm from Vegas and expect high hospitality standards, but this place is awful. You don't blame the customer, especially when the fault was of your employee. "Really Disappointing Hotel"
Not a good experience. The room (number 105) was ok but a little small, you could hear people talking next to you and people walking in the second floor the walls were too thin. The bedspread had some stains that were noticeable. The WiFi was terrible they had 3 wireless networks but in all three i got a poor signal from my room (105) which was only […] some steps away from the front desk. If you wanted a better signal you should go to the front desk to get a good signal, but even with a good signal the internet connection was poor. The front desk staff was not helpful, when checking in they didn't find my lastname in my ID, they thought the word "Expiración" (Expiration) was my last name. Later when some friends came to the hotel and told the front desk they were looking for me the front desk told my friends I was not staying at the hotel. They let my friends wait like half an hour until they found me (And this is not a big hotel). The room was clean but the first day we stayed there the carpet was wet. The bedspread had some stains. And one day they forgot to place new towels in the room, we had to ask for towels in the front desk. The breakfast wasn't good. They only had coffee, muffins, toasts, concentrated juice and oranges (if you had luck you get some apples too). It was disappointing because if you wanted tea you had to make your own in your room, and the breakfast is served in the front desk and you have to eat standing because there are just two chairs to sit. The room we booked was not the one we got. On the reservation was stipulated that we should have a dinner area and we didn't, then the bedroom was too small. The whole bathroom was not separated from the bedroom, so quite noisy for the children. No laundry. The breakfast was terrible, only some pieces of bread, terrible coffee and some little cakes. Of the 4 nights I was there, my car was the only car in handicapped parking stall; never saw activity at the two rooms adjacent to those stalls as I passed to climb the stairs. "Nice place for budget vacay"
Easy check in & out. No shuttle to LAX :/ but parking is free, the staff was friendly. Room was decent. Just a funny old person smell (smoking room king bed 214). Stayed for 5 nights. We had a horrible experience. We walked in to our room and it didn't have toilet paper, we called the front desk asking for some and 30 min later we still didn't have it, so my husband went to the office to get some. The only thing that we did not like was that the pool didn't have pool hours anywhere & the desk clerk decide when swimming hours were over.
