This hotel exceeded our expectations! It is not really a hotel but an apartment complete with a kitchen, living room, full bathroom, bedroom and closets. The views were great from the large porch and overall our stay was perfect. Free parking and a great free breakfast at a restaurant nearby....great location!, smack in the center of town!!!! Will definitely recommend this to friends and family and would love to return....

The Loui is in an older building (I think 1933) that has been spruced up but not really renovated. Decor is fanciful which adds character. Our room was small and clean. Beds were okay, and the appliances I used (microwave, refrigerator, room heater, water heater) all worked. No problems with the wireless internet. There was only one chair in the room, but another chair would have made the room even more crowded. We also had a small balcony that looked out on the street. The shower was of the infuriating sort still found in Israel, with only a curtain separating the bathroom floor and shower floor, so after a shower the bathroom floor is wet. The staff were very friendly and helped us out with several things. The location on HeHalutz Street is commercial and looks a bit run down, but seemed safe and is only three blocks to the Carmelit subway. Even though this was a business street, we weren't bothered by street noise. I'd actually give this hotel a 3.5 star rating if I could, but I rounded up because my only gripe was the size of the room. I guess if I wanted a bigger room, I could have paid more elsewhere.

Very lovely stay. Hotel staff very hospitable and went above and beyond to help plan our trip to Jerusalem on a Saturday. The view was outstanding. Would feel disappointed without that view as that made the room

I was there on business for a very long stay (18 nights) and they were wonderful. It is a small family run place and they are very attentive to your... needs. While the hotel is a bit of a walk from the main street (Gaaton), I enjoyed the walk and it helped me see the local sites. I had stayed here once before and it was amazing then. We were very satisfied with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. It's within walking distance from the center of town, but more than a few blocks. It's also close to the promenade by the beach. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We'd return.

An excellent choice. Reasonably priced with staff that couldn't do enough for you. Decor was a lttle tired but I saw them overlooking plans with an architect so there could be changes. I heartily recommend this friendly hotel. And its only minutes from the shops, restaurants and the beach.
