"Very nice place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 28, 2012
We enjoyed it. The room was nice, walking distance to Osaka turist attractions. It's to bad it was for a night but, I would definitely stay there again.

"Great Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 22, 2012
The hotel is clean and comfortable, even though the room and bath is tiny by western standards. It's right on top of the Crystal underground shopping mall which is connected to the Osaka metro, and steps away from some classy shopping districts. US travelers should remember to step up to get into the bathroom--true throughout Japan and Korea. The staff were friendly and helpful.
"Close to Esaka station, cheap and convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 21, 2012
The Chisun Inn Esaka is a great place to stay as a central point for visiting Western Japan. The hotel is a 5min walk north from Esaka Station which is on the Midosuji subway line, only 2 stops from Shin-Osaka station. Of note though, the Midosuji is not covered by the JR pass, so it'll cost you 200yen each way to Esaka station. However, the hotel itself is comfy, albeit with typically small japanese rooms. The bed does raise/lower to create more living space when needed, but I never actually used the feature. A big perk is the onsen at the top of the hotel, great for relaxing in the evening after a long day of sightseeing. There is a 7-eleven next door and a 24hr grocery store just down the street. Overall, I recommend the hotel for foreign travelers looking for a cheap place to stay in Osaka. Good amenities and friendly staff make for a well rounded experience.

"Hotel Vista Grande Osaka - Great location"
My friends and I spent one night only at Hotel Vista Grande in Osaka just last week and we were very please with our choice. We booked four rooms and they were all very clean and fairly spacious (by Japanese standards). The hotel itself has a very modern feel and it is centrally located so that you easily visit some of the major attractions the city […] has to offer as well as experience Osaka by night - the hotel is located in a busy street close to restaurants, bars, clubs and karaoke. Our promotional rate included breakfast but if you have to pay extra for it do not bother... it was OK but not great. I will definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Read more
"Good hotel in the heart of the Dotonbori"
The Hotel Vista Grande in osaka is located in the heart of the Dotonbori neighborhood, and happening part of town. The property is very nice and the staff was helpful. I usually get a very good rate at this hotel through hotels.com and that makes it a good value for a nice place in the heart of Osaka. Rooms are slightly larger than "Japanese standard" […] and very comfortable. Free internet access is also welcome. The breakfast buffet is decent, serving both Japanese and western selections. The cost of the buffet (either included in the room or paying at the time) is a bit high, but in line with other hotel buffets. You can get better value by getting out, but the ease of breakfast at the hotel is worth something. I will return to Hotel Vista Grande when I find myself in Osaka again. Read more

"nice place in the heart of the city"
The Hotel Vista Grande in Osaka is a nice place that is located in the very busy area around Dotonbori. This is the "happening" part of Osaka, with lots of nightlife, food, shopping, etc. The crowd in the area is mostly young, with business people mixed in as well. Great spot to people watch. The hotel itself is very nice with large rooms by Japanese […] standards. We got the twin room based on a hotels.com review and were not disappointed. We only stayed one night, so I doid not check on the hotels amenities too much. Wired (LAN) internet connection in the room was fast ad free. Read more

"Nice Hotel - Center of it all"
The hotel was a bit hard to find since it is 3.5 blocks from the train station especially difficult when we were hauling huge suitcases through the busy streets. However, once it was located, it was easy enough to find. The exterior of the hotel is plain. The lobby was nice and clean. I don't think there is a gym available. Get the twin room. The room […] with a double bed is tiny. We didn't have room to open the suitcases we had. There's not much walking room after we drag in the suitcases. The twin room is almost a third bigger. It's slightly more expensive but I'd take that over the tiny room we had. We didn't mind it so much since we only stayed at the hotel for one night. The bathroom is small but not unbearable. Despite the hotel being located in the center of the red light district, we didn't feel endangered at any point of our walk pass 8pm. The stores are closed by 10pm so we walked around for a bit after dinner. We walked back to the hotel before 11pm. Nobody bothered us as we were walking back. The hotel is 3 mins from the Dotonburi street. It was nice to be in the center of it all. The atmosphere pass sunset is fun and vibrant. There are so many restaurants to choose from and people-watching was entertaining. I'd stay there again but not in the double bed room. Read more

"Near entertainment and shopping area"
The room and breakfast were very satisfactory. Housekeeping was very good. However, the hotel is on a narrow one-way street which airport bus cannot enter so we were forced to lug our bags approx 200m from the bus stop. Most reception staff could not converse in English and were not helpful as were the concierge people. One coffee shop staff was downright […] rude though this was made up for by the helpful female reception staff. On the whole, this hotel is just barely satisfactory. Read more
"Prefect location for shoppers"
The hotel is very close to the shopping street and restaurants, but you do need to find a subway exit with lift if you carry a heavy suitcase.
A reasonable priced hotel with very clean and comfortabel room with a nice ambience.
"Good service and convenient location"
walking distant to many good ramen ya and you can find all kinds of local food nearby kuromon market is also located nearby. it would be much better if there is wifi in room and not just in the hotel lobby.

"Hotel Vista Grande Osaka"
excellent location! No wifi at your room!
"Vista grande"
Nice hotel!!!
"Hotel Vista Grande in Osaka - great location"
The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. It was a great spot, close to train stations and restaurants. The only thing I was disappointed about is that we had our 4 year old with us and I requested a roll away bed for him but they couldn't provide one so the three of us had to sleep in one bed which was a bit of a tight squeeze. Other than that […] was very happy with the hotel. Read more
"Good for shopping"
Room size excellent in Japan Except the location of the hotel, but ok for couples.
"Hotel Grand Vista Osaka"
This is a great hotel in the Shinsaibashi area. The area is the restaurant and bar capital of Osaka. The hotel was very well run and clean, the rooms were large by Japanese standards. While there is no wifi in your room just wired internet the lobby has free wifi. Would stay there again.
"Location is sus..."
My impression is that the hotel is located in the middle of something similar to that of a red light zone. The aura of the neighbourhood was a bit strange in general and there were a lot of people who stood around the streets waiting for something... The location, however, is extremely convenient as it's close to the most amazing restaurants. Service […] could have been a tad better in my opinion. Read more
"In the heart of Shinsaibashi shopping district"
Spent 8 nights in Osaka with my wife. Location was excellent, just a 30 second walk from the main shopping district, or the landmark giant Glico man. This hotel seems to give me the business traveller hotel kind of feeling. Staff was very polite and could speak simple English, able to understand as compared to some retail outlet staff where they could […] only understand simple English syllables. Room was very modern and consider spacious for Japan's standard, had a queen sized bed, large LCD TV with Video-on-demand, coating wardrobe, safe, and even an air humidifer for the dry weather, though it would a bit difficult to understand the japanese wordings. Bath soap, shampoo & conditioner were great! Not the usual tiny bottles that most hotels would give. But large bottles that you buy off shops. Quality was very good as commented by my wife who usually spends on $20-30 shampoo & conditioner. It's located off a small side street from the main shopping street and near to the clubs and pubs area. But didn't feel unsafe as the ushers usually would not approach you if you were a couple. There's also a 24hr 5-level hypermart kind of shop just adjacent from the hotel. Sells everything from cosmetics to snacks to drinks (alcoholic and non) to clothings to electronics etc, so very convenient to do late night shopping Although I do recommend to print all the hotel vouchers/receipts and make extra copies. The staff seem clueless when I tried to check out with the voucher (had the booking confirmation number and fully paid) I gave them upon checking in. But settled it after they checked with their manager. Will I go back again? Definitely! Read more
"Osaka Vista Grande Hotel"
Room is clean, tidy but no check-out extend.
"Hotel Vista Grande Osaka (Near Donky Donky)"
GOOD - close to the heart of the shopping + eating area - although the street of the hotel looks unsafe, but it is very safe with a police station right across the corner, and if the prostitution know you are a tourist they won't bother you unless you show an interest in them - Room is clean and nice (even you miss the clean up time, they will leave […] clean towels & utilities in front of your door) BAD - no Wifi connection only cable - street is hard to find if you are new to Osaka Read more
"Good location and clean hotel"
It's preety converinent for traveling, and next time I'll choose this hotel again.
"Stay Review"
Clean & comfortable room. Slightly bigger size compared to many other budget accomodations in osaka. Location is surrounded with many great food stalls and restaurants & near shopping district shinsaibashi. However, the hotel is located right in the middle of osaka's nightlife/entertainment zone, thus one may be solicited by the persistent night workers. […] I will not recommend for families with children or young teens. Service staff here is not very friendly in comparison to few other japan hotels i stayed before. If you're seeking for superb service or warm welcoming, maybe this hotel may not be your top choice of selection. Read more
"Osaka Grande Vista"
Good location in Osaka, you can easily travel any places from this hotel. English is not so fluent, but helpful. Room is not too big, but still sufficient to stay for 2 persons. Tasteful foods can be soon located nearby. Clean and joyful stay there for 5 nights.
"Grande Vista Osaka - super convenient location"
love the location of this hotel, walking distance to the happening dotonbori district, which link you to ebisubashi & shinbashi shopping streets. Accessible to tons of good restaurants, and not to mention >10mins walk to Namba subway station. Besides, comfortable room with decent price, definitely a high recommendation from me and hubby! thumbs up […] ! Read more

"Pleasant Staying!"
Hotel Vista is located in a very convenient location. Even though it's close to red light district; however, we didn't feel uncomfortable walking at night. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is prepared with care. Overall we have a pleasant stay.
"Hotel Vista Grande Osaka"
In an excellent location of everything (Namba station, Shinsaibashi, shopping areas, lots of great restaurants...etc). Price is reasonable for such good quality (in terms of hotel location, modern & well-equipped rooms) The only little drawback is no wi-fi there but have free wired internet though. Overall speaking, will definitely stay in this hotel […] again and recommend to the others. Read more
"The best stay I have had in Japan"
Rooms were big, clean and very comfortable. The location is fantastic. You are in the heart of the entertainment and shopping areas in Osaka. The train stations are a short walk but through some very interesting streets. There are a few red light venues in the area but it is completely safe. I have been going to Japan frequently for the past few years […] and this has been my best stay in Japan so far. Staff were lovely and helpful I spoke Japanese with them so I don't know about their English speaking abilities. Read more
Perfect location close to shopping area, very nice and clean room. Will book this hotel next time!
"Value for money - Good location for food and shop"
This hotel locates in a very strategic location in Namba. It is within walking distance to Dontobori (food) and Shinsaibashi (shopping). Although the train station is around 8mins walk away but it is ok because along the way to train station there are many interesting shops.
"Good location"
good location. main shopping street and eating place around, walk to subway about 10mins.
"Good for the price"
Fairly big and new. Good location. Very interesting place
good hotel, nice staffs
"Hotel Vista Grande, Osaka"
Comfortable room in a well run hotel. Quiet even though in busy part of city. Liked the glass wall panel to bathroom. There was no international tea in the room...only green tea.....this was a big omission when returning to hotel after a hard day touring.
"Good location"
Many restaurants, game center, 24 hours store & Karaoke around the hotel, should be good location if you love to go out all the time. The bad point is there also have many Night Clubs around, too. so you may disturbed by their reception at night.

"Hotel Vista Grande Osaka - new hotel dottondori"
Good location for young people or those who want the excitement of dottondori area - shops, bars, clubs and restaurants galore. hotel is handy to namba station. rooms are clean, comfortable and service by staff is friendly and efficient. I would readily recommend it.
"Great hotel in the heart of Nanba"
The first thing i would say is get directions from either the station you stop at or the Osaka City Air Terminal, as if your not good with directions, it may take you a while to find it. I arrived at about 5 in the afternoon and was greeted by the receptionist, who was very happy and professional, she also spoke very good English so there was no problem […] with the language barrier, as soon as i entered the hotel, she checked me in within a matter of minutes. I entered the room and the first thing you will notice is the size, for a Japanese room its very large lots of space to put your luggage away. The room is very modern and very clean with all the amenities that you need including free web access in your room, which was invaluable to me as my phone did not work. The bathroom was large, modern and very clean, had a hairdryer and all the basic amenities including shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. Overall the location is fantastic, Near the Nanba subway station where you can get to anywhere in the city from. Also right in the center of the night life, which is great, also you will never hear the sound from the street as the hotel is quiet sound proof, so great if you a light sleeper. Overall a fantastic hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Osaka. Read more
"Lively environment ouside of the hotel......"
In general, the hotel has good facility and well maintained. It was a suprised to me when I got in to the room as the size of the room was much spacious than the normal Japanese Business Hotel. So I was very pleased. The additional pleasure for me was the excitement surrounding of the hotel which has so much variety of food to offer. I guess it must […] be due to the red light district nature that grooms so many interesting bars, restaurants and alcohol shops. My only unhappy experience was that the staff at the hotel front desk were quite cold and unfriendly for Japan standard. Otherwise, my whole stay in this hotel was great! Read more
"great location hotel"
very great location and great room. my number one choice in osaka. highly recommend to all passenger.
"Hotel Vista Grande in Osaka"
The hotel is quite new, room size is quite large compare to other hotels in Osaka. It will be better if the hotel can offer free wi-fi service. Although there are two computers in the lobby for the guests, but most of the time it is occupied.
"Strange place this"
The rooms have windows between the shower and the bedroom, which is a little bit creepy. The front desk staff were rude to us when we checked in. Breakfast is tasty and the hotel is close to many shops and restaurants and the NAMBA station (use exit B20 from the Namba Walk). All in all an okay place because of location and price, but not sure I would […] return there. Read more
"Fair quality with gd price"
The location is reli gd, convenient to supermarket and restaurants. But, the gangs just near the hotel entrance is pretty annoying. Dun recommend gal to stay in solo trip. On my first night, I found out my door was accidentally unlocked by the housekeeper. I m quite shocked about it. The lobby is ok and the room is comforable. The price is cheap but […] it s hard to communicate the staff in english. Read more
"Very good hotel to stay in Osaka"
I stayed 7 nights in the hotel and feel very comfortable there all the time. "Great location"
Great hotel in the heart of Shinsaibashi/Dontombori. Seems pretty new - rooms were quite big in comparison to other japanese hotels, bed/pillows were really good, breakfast was good and was really good value. "Hotel Vista Grande Osaka"
Although we only stayed for one night, for a fortnight stay in Japan this hotel was one of the cheapest, funkiest, and location perfect of the bunch. We opted for a twin single as we like our space too much to share a double. The room was clean, homely, spacious for Japanese rooms and the bathroom was great as well. The location is a real plus. 5 - […] 10 minutes walk from Namba station and even shorter walk to Dotonbori restaurants, fun and food. We would definitely stay here again. Read more
