One of the only good things about this hotel is the location. It's really close to the hotel and it offers a free round-trip shuttle service to the airport. With that being said, please do not stay here if you have a full day in Jakarta. The hotel is located very far from the city center and given Jakarta's dreadful traffic jam, it's impossible to get […] in and out of the city from this hotel in a manageable fashion. Even considering its airport location, the hotel is in the middle of NOWHERE. You have to drive through a sketchy neighborhood before reaching the hotel. I read somewhere that a number of hotels in Jakarta offer a free shuttle service to the airport so it may make sense to seek those options than staying here. I got the impression that the hotel tries hard to be "first class" and fails miserably at doing so. Every amenity they provide is carefully measured. For example, I asked for an extra pillow and had to sign an equipment rental form. The hotel also only provides exactly one bath towel for every occupant in the room with one extra communal hand towel. The room is awkwardly big but not very comfortable. There's a dated TV with no seating besides the bed and all walls are painted in various eclectic shades of psychedelic hues that makes one dizzy. My request for a non-smoking room was initially not met, all rooms smell like smoke regardless, and the hotel staff tried to short-change me on multiple occasions. My conclusion? Stay somewhere else. Perfect for an overnight stay to catch a morning flight next day. Very close to Jakarta airport. Hotel offers free shuttle to and from the airport every hour. Shuttle pick up from airport is on the upper floor from arrivals. Have seen much better 4star hotels though. Very good value for money.

It is in the ghetto. Seriously, in one of the worst areas of Jakarta. I've traveled a good amount, and this is not where you want to be. The lobby and grounds are nice and stylish, but it's a facade. Makeup on a pig. The windows in our room were covered up with plywood. The service was also poor. Although the waitstaff outnumbered guests 2-1 in the restaurant, none of us could hail down someone to take our order. The woman at the table next to us was waving her arms in the air for about a minute before someone came over to her. And after my buddy ordered a $10 Gin and Tonic that tasted like windshield washer fluid, my buddy said that there was something wrong with his drink. After the entire staff examined the drink, they told him that it was just the lime. It was NOT the lime. He asked for a new drink, and they just took out the lime, and brought him back his 1/2 full Gin & Tonic. Poor service. So this place is good for business or pleasure, but for a short stay only since it is fairly isolated. FM7's airport pick up service made the process painless. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean, well lit and ample source of hot water after a long journey was a welcomed feature. Wireless is only offered in the lobby but not in the […] rooms, but Ethernet connections are available in the rooms. Renting this is a bit cumbersome, but their IT staff are always available within a reasonable time frame. Their amenities are ample, but did not try them. Pool looked very relaxing. The hotel in itself is great. I really liked the interior glass designs of the rooms. The only drawback it getting to it from the airport. As soon as the exit from the highway is taken, you enter this narrow road and it has a lot of traffic depending on the time of the day. Just need to plan accordingly. Overall, great hotel.

We had a 13 hr stopover after 3 weeks in Europe & were exhausted. We booked 2 rooms which were reasonably priced for my husband, myself & 3 children. We happened to find a rep for the hotel at the airport as I remembered there was a shuttle bus. The two negatives were that our room smelt really badly of cigarette smoke & there was a lot of noise from the corridor with people coming & going & talking. I used earplugs so managed to get quite a few hours sleep but it kept my husband awake. It was good to be able to grab a quick breakfast at 3am but there wasn't much choice at that time. Still under construction so a bit messy. Less a resort more a spa hotel. Enclosed compound with security. Large, busy hotel good for transiting (near Jakarta int airport) but not a destination. Brace yourself for the culture shock of shacks you pass through on route to the hotel but perfectly fine. Attentive staff.

Comfortable hotel, good breakfast (and available early), catching shuttle from airport was the most difficult part - if you find your porter in the baggage claim area it is easy otherwise a little challenging. The surrounding area did not feel conducive to walking or exploring.

The free shuttle bus was what attracted us to the hotel and it was very good. The pool and spa was excellent as was the massage experience. The room did not have any windows which was a bit odd. It was difficult to make ourselves understood at times.

The FM7 hotel is nearby the airport. They definitely had difficulty finding my hotels.com. reservation when I phoned in advance for a shuttle pick-up. I had to call hotels.com to resend the email yet again to also include the hotel reservations number (why its not always included i'm unclear). Oddly when we checked in, they also shuffled around for […] a while looking for my reservation. Stepping back though, the shuttle pick-up with my name on a card is a dream since Jakarta airport's International Arrivals terminal is so chaotic and can be downright scary at night. Shuttle driver took us through dark curvy backroads for about 10-15 mins until we reached a nice walled compound - the hotel. It was a little cheesy with neon lights and resort/casino feeling. We had paid for an Executive Suite room which is oddly located in the Karaoke club hallways. The club was noisy but our room quite quiet. Adding to the travel time, we needed a golf cart to drive us from the lobby to the club area, then we walked up stairs, past the karaoke, down the hall to our room. The room itself was simple, large and bright. Cold floors that appears granite but the bathroom was large, modern and clean (my #2 criteria after decent bed, which they had). In the morning we had a buffet breakfast of local Indonesia rice, noodles and some toast before being shuttled back to the CGK airport. All in all, relatively convenient (better than staying AT the airport hotel), fairly priced and decent service. I didn't expect much, but it was clean and good enough for overnight. Read more

It took us ages to get to the supposed "shuttle". Recommendation - don't wait for the bus - get a taxi. The shuttle is just fine for the way back though. The surrounding neighbourhood looks pretty ugly so don't expect to take many photos on the trip from the airport. We were pretty tired when we finally got there and so were perhaps a bit relieved […] to have porters help us with the luggage along a very long corridor to our room. It seems that many rooms are on the ground floor (including ours). The look is spartan but the rooms are large, well airconditioned and clean. Needed to find somewhere to stay near the airport as had 11 hours to wait in between flights. The FM7 lacks personality while the staff are polite they will not go a millimeter past where they are. We arrived on a flight 15 mins after the breakfast had stopped and total unwilling to compromise. Thought that a good spar and swim would be good relaxation […] but the area was closed for work and had been awhile even though the receiption had recommend to go there, you think they would know. The rooms are clean but very plain until we used the shower, the drain did not work and then the toilet joined in and flooded the bathroom floor, advised the staff and they thanked me for letting them know but no effort to provide another room. This is not worthy of the number of stars they claim. When I spoke to the hotel they said they run regular shuttle to the airport as they are only 3km away but we found this to be only every 2 hours and as our flight was at 23:40 meant we needed to leave on the 20:00 bus almost 4 hours before...
