"Best choice for lower price hotel"
Super clean, close to the central part of Hong Kong, all kinds of restaurants nearby. Also close to the airport express. Highly recommended. The price is fairly cheapGenuine Expedia guest review
"Brilliant budget hotel"
As hostels are expensive and poorly located in Hong Kong, we opted for a hotel on this occasion. This hotel is in the best location, right in the centre of the city (aptly named 'Central') and it is exactly what it says on the tin - mini! The reception and the lobby were surprisingly spacious and nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and spoke […] excellent English. The room was small with just enough room for a double bed, shower, sink and toilet. It had a TV which showed American TV channels, working air con (which was sometimes a bit loud) and a kettle and two cups. There was nowhere to really store our luggage other than a small area at the bottom of the bed but the room had a safe (under the bed) and hooks to hang your jackets or other items that may crease. The bathroom and toilet area has completely see through glass, but is an ok size. I am 5ft 3 and my partner is 6ft and this room worked for us, although it was tight at times! The wifi was super fast and worked well in the room and the lobby. The only negative feedback I have is that the sink was absolutely tiny, no more than the size of an A4 piece of paper! I like to wash my face at night and it was difficult to do this without getting water all over the bathroom. All in all this was a great hotel in a fantastic location, at a 'budget' Hong Kong price. Though I would only recommend sharing a room with a partner as there is absolutely no privacy when showering or going to the toilet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mini it was"
Was supposed to stay three nights, left after first night. It was just too small. I can't imagine two people sharing a room. The bed was good and that was lucky because that's the only place to be.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A lot have complained about the room size and steep stairs from Wyndham St but what did you expect on HK Island??!! The location is amazing being next door to Lai Kwai Fong (you can hear the bassline on Thurs-Sun nights, but its not loud). It's a short stroll down the road to Central and Hong Kong MTR stations where you've got the designer stores on […] the way and IFC mall above Hong Kong station. The room is small however we could still move around 2 large suitcases and carry-on luggage. Shower is a bit small but again, this is HK so totally understandable. Definitely staying again for the location! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing location on the island, with all the action just around the corner. The hotel was clean & tidy & the wifi in the rooms was fast. You could not ask for a better location & for the price the small room was fine (small rooms are standard in Hong Kong, unless you pay a lot more).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location is excellent. Traffic very convenient."
My stay was pleasant. Service was very good. However, the room was really "mini"!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel exceeded expectations.the surroundings were great because we were in Central.it was a lot of walking though.the rooms were small but we already knew tat when we booked.however it was stylish.honestly i dun even understand why people would even complainGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed there for 5 nights. Room was, obviously small but that wasn't a problem. Room was so-so clean, always very damp, not pleasant at all. The air conditioning temperature was set to 10 degrees every single day by the housekeeping even though it was over 30 degrees outside, coming to such a freezing cold room was horrible! "shower area too small"
Being "mini" can be understood but the shower area is simply too small. i cannot even turn around and I have to reverse myself to get myself out of it. The club music during weekend starts at midnight and ends at 6am...not for those light sleeperGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed there for 4 days. Though the rooms are small they are very neat and well maintained. The neighbourhood is very cool and calm. The metro, bus station and tram station is very close. And also the coolest Street in Asia is right there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun hotel in great location"
Mini is an accurate name for this hotel; the room is actually mini yet well planned. This is a great alternative to a hostel for those budget conscious, especially given the location of this hotel. If you are travelling with a large suitcase, it is probably not a good idea to have these small rooms, it will be a very tight fit so keep that in mind. Great location but very small mini room. Seriously not suitable for "big size" traveller. Otherwise very clean and good services.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location bad service"
I went with my boyfriend to hong kong for 3 nights and stayed in the mini hotel. It is currently being renauvated so most of the rooms look modern but they are, as the title says, mini and smell like the bathroom which is right at the top of the bed. The sheets were wet from the dampness and the staff were unhelpful and not very friendly. However the […] location of the hotel was perfect and overall we still had an amazing time in Hk Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Are you kidding?"
This will quickly become a Facebook sensation! Photos are fab - a room for two that measures less than 11 ft by 6 ft; room for a bed ( barely double, barely, barely) that is jammed against one wall; less than 2 ft to walk beside the bed; room to put one set of cases ( stacked); and best of all the bathroom! This is a glass enclosure attached to the […] bed ( less than 2 ft 6 in at the most) with a less than 1ft 6 in shower area with just enough space to shower in front of the basin; and the toilet is next to, yes next to, the bed! If you sit on the toilet you can't shut the door and your knees just about level with the head of the bed!!!! Wonderful! My friend who was going to share went to another hotel. "Smaller room size...."
First time I came to mini hotel central was last year and I was very satisfied with the room, toilet size, though small but comfortable. This year when I came to HK, I chose to stay at mini hotel central again but for the same room type I booked, the room I got was smaller, and the toilet size was half of what I had the previous year, which was rather […] squeezy. In addition, the toilet window was facing the main road and the blinds do not really cover well, so when taking shower, extra care was needed... not good, should get better window blinds that covers the whole window without gaps in the middle. Room is ultra small but clean. Flip flop, toothbrush, toothpaste have to buy from the self serve machine. TV is suck, just few channels, and poor signal. No water. Location is excellent, very close to MTR & LKF.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Minuses outweigh pluses Minuses: Unhelpful staff (no help with luggage, would not call a taxi for me), renovations going on everywhere, room tiny, bathroom not private, pubic hair from previous guests in bathroom and even in bedroom, sheets not washed clean, lift to higher floors can take an eternity to arrive, many steep steps up from Central area […] to hotel. Pluses: Phenomenal location, cheap stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good budget price for a great location"
If you've not been to HK before then be prepared for smaller rooms. Mini hotel is called Mini for a reason but it was fine with me as I was busy sighseeing during the day and eating / partying at night. The room consisted of a (much bigger than i expected) comfy bed, and a toilet / sink / shower behind the bed behind a window. That was pretty much it […] but it squeezed ina TV, Kettle, safe etc. I had a window but it looked out onto nothing really. Check-in was simple. The best thing about the hotel is the location, just around the corner from the bars and restaurants of Land Kwei Fong. The MTR is a 5 minute walk but there are a lot of stirs in case you are elderley. The hotel is currently undergoing some rennovation on the ground floor so there was some loud noise during the day as i was on the first floor. All in all, for the price this was a great stay. Maybe not for a romantic or extended getaway but a great base on HK Island. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good location ,but with sick environment."
location of the hotel is good. the sizes of the room is small but comfortable. major problem is with ventilation.the room smells allergic and i found it due to the blinds in the shower area.this area is very densily populated and people can easily fall sick if not properly ventilated.i experienced sickness staying here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Unique, be aware of pros and cons"
Very convenient location. Good food, sightseeing and shopping. Tiny rooms to swing a cat only! Beds not comfy - bring extra pillows for your back and get massages! Also, get fit you have to walk up a hill - historical stony steps...Genuine Expedia guest review
Inexpensive room very clean, walls are paper thin. I could hear the people in the next room talk and flush the toilet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic hotel in great location"
This hotel's location was ideal for me. It is situated near lots of shops, the station, the harbour is walking distance for lots of sightseeing and tours. The room is very small but you can manage if you do not have loads of luggage. There were lots of renovations when I stayed which I imagine is not a usual thing but it did mean having to take weird […] looking back entrances and negoitiate stairs with a suitcase. It is ideal for a city break if you are a solo traveller. If you are after luxury or staying for a long time this probably is not the best place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not that small for asian"
Room is very clean, got an even numbered room so I had a nice view from the window, used towels were changed everyday, aircon is very cold...it was originally set at 10 which is the coldest setting but didn't mind changing it but then when I woke up in the morning, the floor was all wet from the moisture from the aircon and it is very slippery, the […] room needs an exhaust. Overall, it wasn't really that small for an Asian couple. I am a frequent visitor who usually stay at tsim sha tsui but I like my first stay at central and will definitely book mini hotel central again when I come back this August. Great little place. Awesome location. Does what it says on the box. The sleep would be much nicer, if they had better pillows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Moist and Humid Room... Avoid it!"
Room is too small to even walk about properly especially with a luggage opened. And somehow all the water vapour from the shower is not sucked up through the vent, resulting in a moist and humid environment.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here for 2 nights as it is pretty close to the airport. Takes about 20 mins in a cab depending on the traffic. Hotel very clean and everything worked. Staff efficient and friendly. "small size/big value"
true to its name, the hotel room is small where you can find inside all of the queen-size bed with clean and soft linens, hot and cold water at the comfort room, hair dryer and water electric pot and a television. but the cleanliness, proximity to central HK, the friendly staff, the nice and cozy lobby, and free use of computer (they have two) are the […] come-on of this hotel. given the chance to visit HK again, i would chose MINI HOTEL again. "Great location, great hotel"
Great hotel, the rooms are compact and would be a bit tight for two people, but for a single traveller it is ideal. Bathroom is a bit compromised - basin is in shower, but not really a problem. Refurbishment of common parts (June 2013) but apart from a temporary entrance and dust sheets it didn't affect my stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Small room but clean and accessible. Expensive though...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Expensive for a closet"
Trying hard to be trendy to cover for fact that the rooms are tiny. Hotel is in uninteresting business district of a very interesting city. Most irritating, the staff and management show no flexibility on changing or cancelling reservations.Doesn't make one want to return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Three nights at Muni Hotel Hong Kong"
If you know that you are going to just sleep here then it's a really good place to be- right in the middle of everything happening in Central HK. I am a 62 year old woman so found the steep gradients and stairs a little heavy but not that bad that I wouldn't go back there. Th room is literally a capsule, but the bed was so comfortable, the wayer hot […] and the aircon cool. Convenience is the key- close to everything you need. I had big suitcases but was easily able to flag a taxi to go to central station. Two blocks walk to the station, Star Ferry, trams and the best shopping areas. They are busy renovating so it's in a bit of a mess right now but I'm sure it will be worth it. When you are at the hotel try walking towards the mid level escalators- what a fantastic surprise! "Convenient location, small but neat rooms"
The location of this hotel is great. Very central. The counter staff were friendly and helpful. The designer lobby was cozy and comfortable. Rooms are generally clean, albeit a little small. "Mini for sure but perfect for a night or two in HK"
This hotel has very welcoming and helpful staff. The rooms as you may expect are fairly small, but if you're booking a room at 'Mini Hotel' you shouldn't be particularly shocked. I was upgraded for free to one of the larger (but still small) rooms. It was very clean and modern. Only problem was that on the first floor the blinds did not keep the light […] out from the street and I struggled to get to sleep. Nevertheless the location is fantastic for Central Hong Kong. "Not for the Fat Couple"
The location, for me was perfect, right next to the Foreign Correspondents' Club for this "absent member", and bang in the heart of the Central business district. Reviewers have already highlighted that this "mini" hotel is mini and so not for obese couples. It has already been pointed out that the fashionably transparent partition to the lavatory and […] shower is just by your head as you lie in bed, so you need to be very comfortable with your wife and/or girlfriend - and don't try for gymnastics in the shower. The air conditioning is a bit noisy the first night, but you quickly get used to it. Otherwise, hotel management leaves you alone; there is FOX News on the TV, and the hotel is very well placed for taxis to everywhere. If you are not sure how to get to it on arrival, just ask for the "FCC". Oh, and bring your own shampoo and soap. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Ok, the rooms are tiny. You probably won't be able to unpack a suitcase or have more than one person standing at any one time. Still reading? If you're OK with the size, this is a fantastic hotel in a really good location, and the price can't be bet. Staff were really helpful. Had a great time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Budget Conscious Light Travellers"
Stayed 2 nights. Location is good, walking distance from central and peak terminus. Room is small which is normal for HK but clean. Ideal for backpackers. The room is clean and has towels, vault and TV. No closet but have enough hooks to hang clothes. Vendo is available for basic needs like toothbrush, water and snacks.Genuine Expedia guest review

The lobby is the best part of the hotel. Nice place to relax with lighting effects and envirogatong scent. But with the room, its really mini.Genuine Expedia guest review
