Very Nice hotel. Will stay there any time rooms are available. Nicest that I have found in Ancorage for the price. I did not like that the maids did not make the bed because we left our travel bag on the bed. They left a note saying that their policy was not to move personal belongings. What a surprise to find this hotel in the woods on a lake! Beautiful surroundings, awesome indoor heated pool with lift for persons with disabilities. The outside firepit was a touch of class that elevated the building. The staff was gratuitous and on their toes. Even the shuttle driver was A+! I will be happily returning.

The front desk staff, was polite and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. My only point of disharmony was not really the hotel's fault. It was the other guests. Who lets their screaming 3 year old run up and down the corridor at midnight? A mother's voice was heard -not quieting the child- but rather loudly asking if the kid remembered […] their room number. Come on, folks: There's more people in the world than just you. And some of them want to sleep at midnight. Anyway, short of hall monitors, I am not sure how Springhill could have fixed that. We stayed here on the last night of a roving vacation, mostly to be close to the airport. The room is large and included a microwave/ fridge and a desk. The doors to the room as well as the restrooms do no go to the floor. They also have separated the shower/sink from the toilet/2nd sink, which made me feel like I was on a weird ship. We did not sleep […] well for several reasons. All of them add up to WAY too much noise. The massive gap between the door and the floor was the main problem. People in the hall who were talking were as loud as if they were wandering through our room. There was a freak storm and he hotel lost power (obviously not the fault of the hotel) which contributed to a lot of people leavIng their rooms and wondering what to do and slamming their doors. When new guests arrived at 5:30am they used flashlights to find their rooms, which meant floodlights in our room due to the gap on the door. Bed was not comfortable. Read more

Very clean and maintained hotel rooms. I wouldn't hesitate to return. The included Breakfast buffet was probably the best I have come across and was excellently stafffed to keep clean and stocked. Its close to Anchorage Alaska University ... my guess it could at times be filled with college students attending events ... good or bad ....

Very lovely place to stay. Large fire pit attracts the crowd at night which makes the parking lot full, but a fantastic hotel and staff. Breakfast was well done too, many many choices. I will definitely bring the family back.

The room was very spacious and well designed. A person can be sleeping and another can be watching TV. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Location next to the lake is a plus, for walking and viewing wildlife. And breakfast that was served was great! We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is fairly new. The interior and exterior are both clean and somewhat modern. The rooms were well-appointed, spacious and comfortable. Compared to other Anchorage hotels in its class, the price was reasonable; however, it seems that hotels in Anchorage are generally much more expensive than in other cities and states throughout the USA. The […] free breakfast had a decent selection of items, but it was undoubtedly the weakest part about the hotel stay. There were plenty of carb-heavy choices, but the only low-carb item (diabetic friendly) was the scrabbled eggs (no bacon, sausage, etc). We booked a room for two nights at the hotel closest to Providence Medical Center since my 2 year old was having two medical procedures done. The first night the people in the room next to ours were having a constant in/out of non-hotel guests (re: party!) and kept us up from 10 pm to 3 am. The front desk actually called our room at 1 am to ask us to […] keep it down! In the morning I went to complain, and they said it was their night auditor who had called and they apologized for him, meanwhile the noise continued for at least two hours after we told the "night auditor" that we weren't the ones making the noise. This is a nice quiet hotel away from any hub bub. I picked this Marriot because of the good price for all it's amenities. GREAT People that work there. It's next to the college so a little more quite and easy to get there.

Very comfortable room. Clean and plenty of space. Wifi not working, and even business centre computers could not get out to Internet. A major inconvenience which needs to be better handled by hotel as Internet availability is one of the main reasons I choose a hotel.

The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Only drawback, I found out later, the cruise ship transfer companies do not pickup at this location. The hotel shuttle did take us to a pick up point. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Great breakfast and big rooms. We had a handicap room ( no one in our group was handicapped) during our first stay so the bathroom was a little scary to walk in when the entire floor was wet. The second stay we had a regular room and it was fine.

This hotel was a great place with a fun theme and friendly atmosphere. They had a nice big gas fire-pit outside to warm up by since it was winter. The hotel sits on a lake, surrounded by woods, although still in the middle of Anchorage. The breakfast was great with both hot and cold options (biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, […] bagels, danishes, yogurt/milk case, fruits, juice, coffee and more). The pool and hot tub were nice and clean and the pool water was not too cold. The room was really nice and modern looking. The bathroom is in an odd place (right in front of the beds) so if you have people get up in the middle of the night, the light is shining right on your bed and the beds are not the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in (but not horrible). Perhaps all rooms are not designed the same...not sure. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others without hesitation. Read more
