i liked the Luxx XL. It is a modern boutique, reasonably priced, near Lumphini Park, and relaxing. Tucked away off the road, the hotel allows you to relax a while in the middle of a busy city.

I found this hotel off online reviews on trip advisor and boy was it one of the best stays I've ever had. The hotel is very modern, chic, comfortable, trendy - very surprising for the middle of Bangkok. Rooms are super clean, the staff can speak more english than other hotels I've been to - so much easier to plan and ask questions, breakfast was impressive […] every morning, pool was fun, wifi internet was great. I personally enjoyed the hotel's location. A quiet oasis within the busy city. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Interior are woody and cozy, thou a few flaws but was rectified.

The Good: Overall stay was fairly good as the hotel is near Ratchadamri BTS station which is about 10mins walk. There are some massage joints along Langsuan Soi. Hotel decor is quite chic looking. The hotel was tastefully decorated, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was a peaceful location near Lumphini Park. A tuk tuk ride to the main city sights is approximately 250Baht. The hotel pool is also a welcome relief from the noise of Bangkok.

Okay, first the negative - LUXX XL don't do facebook as much and that's a quote from them directly via facebook when I pressed for a response to one of my queries. The negative stops there, in all my travels I've not stayed anywhere as lush as Luxx XL. To be honest, It was not the easiest place to get to so make sure that you print out the map on the […] website and ensure that you give this your tax driver. Also, get the receptionist to write down specific instructions on the map because the print out is far too small for tuktuk drivers to read. As soon I stepped out of the cab and walked into reception, it was like being in trendy establishment, the aesthetics were fab and really the surroundings were really cool. But it doesn't stopped there, I walked into my room and it was really fabulous. Hardwood floors thorughout, king size bed, surround speakers, dvd players, plasma screens, top end bathroom, rain showers, huge room all together. Really, this is not a paid advertisement - it was definitely value for money, they certainly pulled out all the stops and I was thrilled that i made the right decision. The pool was fab and I was very happy with the breakfast area. All together I was really happy with the hotel. Goood job everyone. I will be coming back soon. Read more

Whilst centrally located, the hotel is actually 20 min walk from sky train. Now try walking that in the heat of the day or in one of those tropical rains. The promised breakfast is miserable, no vegs or friut. You are better off buying a yogourt at the 7/11 (which is also 15 min walk). Enjoyed my stay at the Luxx XL, will defiinately book again on my return to Bangkok. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance, great park (a luxury in Bangkok) a block away. Easy access to sky train. Exceptionally reasonable rates, for the price I don't think it can be beat.

I love the big big woody door and woody design of the hotel, service give me a family feeling, but there is ants in the room. It take 10-15 mins to Central World and Chitlom by foot. It's wonderful to walk along with Lansuan main street and the small soil to discover more ^^ Some stylish restaurants are just near by, and I found the 1930 SPA.

Vi flyttede fra hotellet før tid - billederne af hotellet er tydeligvis fra den gang de åbnede og siden er der ikke blevet renoveret. Det hele emmer af at være nedslidt, selv de ansatte har tabt gnisten. Morgenmaden er i Aldi-stil.

Luxx XL var säkert ett riktigt topphotell för några år sedan, men tyvärr är det lite slitet idag och servicen är långsam. Jag fick ett annat rum än den den svit med terrass jag bokat. Förvisso ett fint rum, men utan balkong eller terrass. Efter påpekande fick jag nytt rum högre upp i hotellet. Toalettpapper saknades på rummet när jag checkade in och […] det krävdes tre samtal till receptionen innan det fylldes på. Krukorna med näckrosor på balkongen kunde ha varit en snygg detalj om inte vattnet tillåtits att bli kletigt av alger. Parasollen vid den lilla poolen var skitiga och städningen av poolområdet klart eftersatt. Lister och trädetaljer i korridorer och på rummen är skavda. Luxx XL behöver en ytrenovering och bättre personal, då kan det bli ett riktigt bra hotell igen. Plustecken för priset och storleken på rummet - 650 svenska kronor för en minisvit med balkong. Plus också för skön (hård) säng, för pentry med fullstor kyl med frys och för hotellets läge. Du har sköna Lumpini Park, Bangkoks svar på Central Park, bara några hundra meter bort, och till shoppingen på Central Plaza går du på en kvart. Gatorna och gränderna i Langsuan, det lilla område där hotellet ligger, är fyllda av restauranger och spännande gatumat. Missa inte att ta en promenad i närområdet. Tänk på att taxiförarna kan ha svårt att hitta hotellet - skriv ut den vägbeskrivning på thai som finns på hotellets webb. Read more

BTS역이 걷기엔 멀고 뭔가를 타기엔 가까운 거리라 애매했어요. 직원들은 많이 친절했고 관리는 잘 되었으나 방에 벌레가 있어서 좀 그랬고 물 온도 조절이 잘 안되네요. 밤에 호텔 근처는 조금 무서운 편이었지만 침구는 깨끗했습니다. 위치만 아니라면 다시 가고 싶은 호텔이예요.

Günstige Alternative im Zentrum Bangkoks. Man ist nicht dem Trubel in Silom ausgeliefert und dennoch schnell im Geschehen. Bis zur Silom rd kann man sogar laufen. Ansonsten sind es nur 5 Minuten Fußweg zur BTS Station Ratchadamri und von da aus jeweils eine Station bis Siam bzw. Silom. Ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreicht man den Lumpini Park. Das […] Hotel ist sauber, der service ist freundlich und zuverlässig. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet (u.a. safe, TV, surround- Anlage, gute nicht zu harte Matratzen). Witzig: Das Badezimmer ist vom Wohnbereich durch eine 3-fach-Schiebetür getrennt. Wenn man diese zurückzieht steht die Badewanne quasi mitten im Zimmer. Kleiner Minuspunkt: Trotz längerer Wartezeit kam nur kaltes Wasser aus der Leitung. Ich habe das allerdings auch nicht reklamiert. Von daher hatte das Hotel auch nicht die Möglichkeit, Abhilfe zu schaffen. Etwas merkwürdig ist die Prozedur für das Frühstück. Man soll bis 12:00 am Vortag angeben, wann (im 1/2- Stundentakt) man frühstücken will und was man will. Hierzu wird eine Liste ausgegeben. Diese Angaben werden aber nicht wirklich "überwacht", so dass man auch zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt kommen und andere Sachen als vorab gewählt vom Buffet nehmen kann. Im Hotel gibt es ein nicht ganz billiges aber gutes japanisches Restaurant. Man sollte für Taxifahrer auf jeden Fall einen Plan mit Angabe der Strasse bereithalten, da das Hotel nicht so bekannt ist und der Zugang etwas versteckt in einer Einfahrt liegt. Read more

2012年1月から1年ぶりにスタジオタイプの部屋に宿泊しました。シャワーブースが無い点とバスタブ備え付けのシャワーがレインシャワーのみで使い勝手が良くないのですが、部屋は清潔で広くて快適です。同価格帯だと年期の入った大型ホテルや不便な場所の小規模サービスアパートメントが競合になると思いますが、数段レベルは高いと思います。ランスアンという一方通行が多いエリアの特性を理解して行動できる方にはオススメです。

飯店位置對計程車司機來說不太好找，飯店周圍環境都很優雅，唯獨路邊攤很少，如果晚上肚子餓比較不方便，晚上散步時可以看到很多名車出沒在那一區，有名的可麗餅分店走路10分鐘就可以到，飯店晚上有一位會說中文的年輕人，早餐選擇雖不多，但是覺得很好吃，用餐的環境在游泳池旁，整體來說，是間舒適乾淨又愜意的飯店。
