We booked two rooms. Location was good. We spent most of our time in Gruene, and it was really easy back and forth. I have a few complaints though. There is a cushion for a window seat, which is next to one of the beds. The cushion has a huge stain as well as several smaller spots. It was really gross. I didn't want to set my bag down there, much less […] sit there. And it was the same in the second room. Made you feel kinda icky about the rest of the room, even though it appeared to be clean. Also, the chairs in the dining area are equally stained and gross. I mean, how much does it cost to re-cover a seat on a wooden chair? The dining area seems clean and is orderly. The service was excellent and the room was very clean. Only complaint was the late night noise of people using the stairway door outside our room. These doors need to be locked from the outside as they are a security risk.

This is a nice hotel and a great value for the price. The room was clean and well kept. There are several restaurants (fast food as well as dine in) within walking distance or a short drive away. Hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly, bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked, noise level was high. Walls transfer every sound, people were coming and going throughout the night and couldn't sleep. Although there were several things I liked about the hotel, the noise level and bed would keep me from staying there again.

Unfortunately we were next door to a school basketball team and they played basketball against our connecting wall until 3 am and yelled and dribbled until then. Not the hotels fault, but very nice breakfast and courteous staff.

The accommodations and the service was very good! We were surprised to have this type of accommodations for the price. The rooms were very clean., The breakfast could improve, as their were not a lot of choices. Other minor details is not to have people smoking at the front entrance. The person at the lobby was very pleasant and helpful.

I was in bed by 9:30 thinking that I was in for a restful night. This was not the case! The walls are paper thin. I could hear the gentleman's conversation in the room next to me. Guests across the hall slammed the door every 2-3 minutes for over an hour. Around 11:00 p.m., a kid starting running around and jumping off the bed in the room above me. […] I called the front desk to report this and the girl working at the desk said she would check into it. The running and jumping continued until almost 1:00 a.m. I understand that the kid's behavior is not the responsibility of the hotel, but for the sake of the other paying guests, this should have been taken care of. Room was "Micro" but at a very good price! Very clean hotel and the location was perfect for my bicycle race event. Great front desk staff. Thumbs up for the cleaning ladies for letting me in the room to shower after my race. (they gave me a couple of extra minutes to clean up after check-out time) I would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

This was just as expected, although cleaner than I had even hoped for....Reading the reviews I had a little reservtion about booking but to my surprise it was very tidy. Rooms are small but if you are just business traveling or need a nice inexpensive room that you feel safe in, this is the place.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. I received a great rate so I can't really complain too much. The pros: close proximity to dining, great price, clean room and friendly staff. The cons: The bed was very 'firm', (I prefer a soft bed so if a firm bed is for you then technically it's not a con!), abd the room was small (queen size bed, […] tv and 2 suitcases filled all the space). This hotel had comfortable beds, which is something that is important to me. The breakfast was ok, a little more than the usual continental breakfast, biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles and boiled eggs were included. Checking in took me less than 2 minutes.

Overall we were disappointed with our experience at Microtel. The advertising pictures gave an inaccurate representation of the rooms. The bed was uncomfortable and the walls are too thin. We choose not to relive this experience. The employees were friendly.

We had a nice time at Wurstfest and were happy to stay at this clean hotel after! The front desk clerk let us check in a little early in order for us to arrive to Wurstfest when they opened the gates! Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and plentiful. Thanks...it was a nice stay! I'd use the Microtell Inn&Suites again.

For the price, the Hotel was clean and comfortable for what we needed for one night. No frills but that's not what we were looking for anyway. The location was good but it is not directly off of the main I-35 so it was good to have our navigation system on our car.
