A convenient location to central London. Alamo rental is just around the corner. Our room was right next to the breakfast area so it was a bit noisy in the morning. Clean linens and comfortable bed. Staff was ever so friendly.

Room was comfortable and the staff was attentive. Location next to Hyde Park was perfect for me, also close to underground rail. The negatives were no lift for 3rd floor and breakfast is toast and tea.

Ideal location, close to 2 tube stations and the train station. The staff were kind, polite and professional. As a single woman, I appreciated how they kept the front door locked. You rang the doorbell to get in, so they knew everyone who came in. It felt very safe. I was on the 5th floor and yes, there were lots of stairs to climb. I chose a room without […] a bathroom. The bathroom was right outside in the hall. It was clean and I never had to wait to use it. I didn't spend much time in my room, as I wanted to see as much as I could in London. So, all in all it worked very well for me. I'd definitely go back. For the price, it was a good hotel. I would not recommend it to someone who has trouble with stairs. My room was one of the shower-only rooms and was in the basement. It was very small and the ventilation wasn't great, so the entire room was steamy after showering. This didn't matter to me since I left for the day after showering anyway. I also needed earplugs to sleep, which wasn't a problem for me either.

The rooms do not have a toilet and chair(s), just a bed, small desk and shower. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast is continental (toasts, juice and coffee/tea). Very convenient location, 2.5 blocks to Paddington station so if ones lands at Heathrow airport. It is not the Hilton by Paddington station but you do not pay 400 dollars either.

I was in london for 2 weeks, and i was looking for something affordable in a good area. With this hotel you get what you pay for. The fare is very cheap and is located next to the central line and paddington station, which is a very important terminal. I ended up staying here because my original hotel reservation feel through at 9pm and I needed a place to stay just until my flight out in the morning. This place was cheap, so I knew I wouldn't get much, but this was really the bare minimum. No elevator (I was on the 5th floor), no in-room toilet, very odd in-room shower stall, no deadbolt on the door. […] And I am generally very easy to please. I think others would also rate the bed comfort low, and the peeling paint on the walls. But things were generally clean and I didn't get bed bugs! Ktnz central hotel we had a problem booking and we got two single beds. When we asked for a room with double bed asked for more money. Did not agree. All in all was fine.

My room was very small and on the top floor which was uneven and thus the bed had a bad tilt to it. Also my room was 82 steps up (I counted them) and they do not have an elevator. So you should consider that if steps are difficult. Breakfast is coffee, tea, juice and two pieces of toast. Not exactly what I would call a breakfast. While I know the hotel was cheap so I wasn't expecting at a lot it was worse than I expected. I had a single room (which is what I paid for), with a filthy carpet, dirty windows, a TV that was hanging off the wall, dirty and flaking walls, one pillow and a wardrobe that was falling to pieces. No lift - awkward to get to top floor with suitcase. Portable heater bent, broken foot and not working. One plug had broken earth pin, which seemed hazardous to me. "Continental breakfast" comprised toast and cold croissants. Not an hotel I would visit again.

Breakfast let it down. Looked worse than a school canteen and was by no means a continental breakfast. There was no room even to sit. We were stood up for ages waiting with another family, then in the end we left and didn't have a breakfast. The Brazilian man with an american accent was nice though, and very helpful.

I booked the hotel as I was attending an event in London over night. I wanted a cheap budget hotel which was central. The location of the hotel was perfect, 10 minute walk to oxford street and short tube ride.I was pretty disapointed with the room though, it was very basic and hadnt been decorated in years. This room is okay for students, more of a hostel than a hotel. The room was in the basement next to the heating room. There was only a small window in the light well. The wifi does not work in the basement. The shower has no direct ventalation so the room smells like a bathroom. It is rundown and in disrepair. Hotel was situated near to Lancaster tube station and was in walking distance to Hyde Park. We were on the top floor so had a lot of stairs to climb to our room as there was no lift. Room was adequate for our needs, bathroom was small but again adequate for our needs.
