The hotel's own website seems to understate its excellent location, as it has an opening into the main street of Sorrento just a short walk from the main square. It is within walking distance of the scenic old mill, the train station, the marina (with its outstanding seafood restaurants) and its stunning views of the bay of Naples and the hillside villas and hotels of Sorrento. The staff was very accommodating to our special needs, allowing us to leave our luggage and to use its restroom facilities even after we had checked out. Also, the price of the rooms was reasonable. Our party did not take the advice of the female night clerk who recommended that we eat at the restaurant next door; instead, we ate at Ristorante Delfino at the marina (which I also highly recommend).

Very happy with Hotel Sorrento City. Staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. Room was very comfortable with the only drawback being the TV in the room had only one Engligh speaking channel (MTV...ugh). Excellent location and easy to find right on the main street near the train station. Very good breakfast and free Wi-Fi included which worked very well in the room. Highly recommend Hotel Sorrento City.

We were going back to Charlotte NC. From the moment tbat we steped into the lobby area, We were greeted, taken care of. The hotel management to the person that carried our baggage to our room I felt that I was coming back to friends. I will stay at this hotel when ever I am in Naples. It was an outstanding short stay. What a palace.

Location.
Situated in the heart of Capri, Regina Cristina is close to Charterhouse of St. Giacomo, Via Krupp, and Gardens of Augustus. Also nearby are Piazzetta Capri and Torre Saracena.

This Capri hotel offers a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas (surcharges apply). The staff can arrange concierge services and tour assistance. Additional amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities.

I stayed at this hotel many years ago on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed it. However, it has become very dilapidated. I would not recommend it to anyone, unless someone is looking for a "no frills" stay. There aren't even tissues or a shower cap or a clock in the room. The hotel is in need of maintenance.

"Regina Cristina in Capri"
The location of this hotel was fabulous. We had a wonderful view of the sea from our balcony and it was very close to the Garden of Augustus. The hotel service was very good, including assisting us with porters to get our luggage up the mountain from the port. Our only negatives were that the hotel is very old and need of some maintenance, specifically […] related to plumbing and airconditioning. Our airconditioner blew but did not cool very well. "The worst customer service"
The hotel is ideally located. That is is only positive statement that I can make. It totally lacked any quality customer service from most of the front desk staff. They failed to inform us about ANY of the amenities of the hotel. One front desk clerk on multiple occassions neither greeted us nor even looked up at us whenever we either left our key or […] ask for it....on 2 occassions he was on the telephone and left us standing there while he talked...did not acknowledge us. The physical condition of the hotel was poor. It was the most expensive on our trip, yet the worst customer service and physical condition. I would never recommend that anyone stay there...not worth the cost!! There was a waiter and the late night front desk clerk that seemed to understand the importance of customer service. "A must not stay"
We love Capri. Unfortunaly we had the worst experiance. The hotel ac didn't work and when we asked the front desk they told us it worked before and couldn't do anything. I asked them for a new room that was not possible. If you could sleep in a hot room and tolerate bad service this would be your place. I recommend paying the extra 50 euro to stay in […] a nicer hotel. Read more
Regina Cristina was a basic hotel which we were generally happy with. Value for money was not great, but perhaps to be expected on Isle of Capri. Location was great. Breakfast was good.

"Mitt i smeten"
Utomordentligt välplacerat badorts-hotell från i slutet av 60 - talet, med något sliten men fungerande inredning. Ett bra, trevligt och opretentiöst val men inget för pedanten eller den som söker lyx & glamour - ungefär som ett Scandic stadshotell i SWE. Personalen är vänlig och tillmötesgående, publiken - italiensk familj på badsemester.

"4 stelle ma dove?"
L'hotel e' situato in centro nella posizione anzi direi ottima le camere sono grandi e con vista mare eccezionali, la cosa negativa e' che non sono da 4 stelle, il frigo non funziona e a dire il vero non sono ben pulite, il personale e' disponibile e la colazione e' un Po scarsina ma nel contesto e' accettabile.
