"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.

"Excellent!"
I really wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this trendy hotel for my son's senior trip. What a wonderful surprise. Not only did I get a fabulous rate on an upscale property, but the hotel staff were amazing. Our room was beautiful. I personally love the location because you are just a short subway ride to all the attractions but yet when you want […] to sleep or recharge it is much more peaceful and quiet. The restaurant was fabulous. The staff there was professional yet friendly. I can't wait to bring my husband on the next trip! Read more
"why stay anywhere else?"
incredible.
Great service and rooms. It IS the financial district, though.
"Friendly staff, appealing but dysfunctional design"
I would come back to the hotel given the friendly staff, overall condition of the hotel and nice free coffee service and afternoon wine in the lobby. But really inexplicable design dysfunctionality in the bathroom.............dark lighting, sinks where you acnnot wash without spilling everything onto the floor, can't type on desk in room given shelf […] height, dim overall reading lamps in room............plenty of lighst but dim bulbs etc. Everything looked beautiful but it just doesn't work for people who need utility. "Great hotel with some issues"
When you enter the hotel, an associate meets you with an iPad at the door. This seems attentive, but it gives you no place to drop your bags except in front of the door. You stand there for a while, and then the associate leads you to a buffet (NOT a reception desk) where s/he gives you a room key. In the meantime, you've had to hoist your bags again […] and move to the buffet table. While you're at the buffet table, other associates ask you to move so they can access the drawers in the buffet. It's a nice experiment, but really! It's much easier just walking to a reception desk and getting a key. Andaz needs to rethink this whole first impression. My only other complaint is the bar. The staff is clearly hired for their appearance, not their ability. Pretty people tend toward like. They congregate in a circle and aggrandize each other while patrons are still in the bar. I was waving my hands over my head like a drowning victim and couldn't get their attention. In the end, I walked up behind them, threw my check on the table next to them, and begged to pay it. (I'm not above dramatic gestures.) I complained at the buffet table out front, and I don't think they processed the charge. So at least they honor patron complaints. The rooms are great. The elevators are great (anyone who has stayed in NYC knows the benefit of quick elevators) and the neighborhood is one I love. It's Medieval Nieuwe Yorke. If you haven't experienced the financial district, or walked the tip of Manhattan at sunset, you haven't seen a beautiful unsung part of New York. See the waterfront! Read more
"OUTSTANDING!"
We love this hotel! Everything about it is outstanding to say the least. The staff is welcoming and more than accomodating, the room is spectacular, and the location is perfect for us! We recommend this hotel to all of our friends and look forward to our next visit : )
"Sleek in the City"
Very sleek and stylish hotel - A Plus for concept and style atmosphere- however BUT the room was WAY too hot and you couldnt turn on the air (only turn off the heat which really did nothing). Also, forget putting on makeup with decent lighting there was absolutely none to be found - disappointing to say the least!
"King Plus is a must"
If you are in search of a hotel getaway for you & your significant other, this is the place to do it. Awesome hotel bar (delicious cocktails) and the room is amazing. Soaking tub is worth the extra spend.
"Nice hotel but out of the way"
Nice hotel although area is kind of dead on the weekends, particularly on Sundays. Does have easy access to Ground zero and South St Seaport. Just be aware when booking the breakfast along with the room since they only give you a $50 credit for the room and not a full breakfast for your party.
"pretty hotel.......immature customer service"
This trendy, pretty hotel could have provided a wonderful getaway. However, the management was immature and unable to take charge of a very loud, noisy party in a room, which resulted in the entire hallway of guests unable to get some sleep until the wee hours of the morning. The continually lame response of both hotel manaqers and security of "there […] is nothing we can do" crossed this hotel right off our list! Read more
"GREAT HOTEL"
One of the best hotels ever. Everything is great about it. Beautiful room, perfect service.
"Love this hotel"
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice. We have a friend who lives in the FiDi and we stay here when we visit. The overall experience is amazing. I will start with my only gripe about the hotel: no valet parking. There is a deck across the street, but you still have to drop off your bags, park the car and come back. Not very New York, if you […] ask me. When you walk in, a host approaches you and handles your check in with a computer tablet. I have never waited in line for anything here. The lobby is very modern and elegant, but not overstated like many in the city. There are plenty of elevators and I don't think I have ever waited over 30 seconds for one. The rooms are very well sized for NYC, not the typical closets at all. The bed is very comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing- modern and stylish and functional. We haven't eaten at the restaurant or had room service yet, so no review there. My wife and I love, love, love the neighborhood. On weekends, it is very quite and neighborly with people walking their dogs and lots of outdoor cafes and NO TOURISTS. Yes if you walk a few blocks to the stock exchange, there will be tourists there taking pictures of the bull, but that's about it. And the hotel is far enough away from Zuccotti Park, so the OWS knuckleheads are not a problem. Warning: Other than some very nice restaurants, this is NOT an area for nightlife. Compared to other parts of the city, it will seem practically deserted to you if you are used to hanging out in Times Square. But my wife and I will take it over that anytime. Overall, the Andaz was a wonderful find for us, beautiful with a great staff, reasonably priced (for manhattan), with fantastically styled rooms. I would recommend it without reservation. Read more

"Great Place, Great Location, Great Vibe"
My girlfriend and I spent NYE in the financial district and chose The Andaz. We chose wisely. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort and modern styling of the hotel. Chad at the front desk was incredibly professional and helpful. He went out of his way to not only make a FABULOUS restaurant recommendation...but he also called to get us in at the last minute, […] and then stood in the middle of Wall Street to hail a cab for us. We will definitely be back! Read more
"Best all-time NYC stay"
From the concierge greeting you for check-in with his iPad to the free happy hour, our stay at the Andaz Wall Street was absolutely fantastic. The location is deep Financial District, but it's only 3 express stops from Grand Central. The room is huge (even by non-NYC standards), modern and clean, and the staff is fantastic. I probably won't stay anywhere […] else in NYC moving forward. Read more
"Andaz Hotel Wall Street"
A sleek, cool, comfortable hotel with great amenities. Very friendly. You might not think of Wall St as a place to "occupy" at night if you're not there on business, not close to a lot of what you want to do, a nice evening neighborhood and close to the subway. Great!
"Nice Hotel"
The hotel is beautiful though the room lighting is incredibly poor. The bathroom lack of lighting can literally cause a headache it is so dim trying to apply makeup or do a daily routine is incredibly frustrating. I will not stay here again when preparing for any morning work meetings.
"Wish I were there"
Great hotel and I will go back. Two things were a letdown, but not enough. Location and small front desk. The location is by the Stock Exchange, so as a tourist, there are a few things to see, but the bulk of the city is much farther north. That would be OK with the convenient subway, but weekend work on the different lines make it a bit of an annoyance. […] The two-post front desk is designed for a leisure, easy experience. Totally cool, but something that doesn't work well when in a hurry leaving to catch a flight/train. So plan! Read more

Staff, Service, Amenities were all exceptional. Can't wait to stay again at Andaz Wall Street.
"a haven on Wall Street"
Loved it! I made the reservations for my party and was very happy and happier that everyone else liked it too. I would definitely go back. No complaints whatsoever.
"Explore NYC stay"
My wife and I stayed at the Andaz on Wall St. during our vacation to NYC during October of this year. The hotel is situated in an ideal location in Lower Manhattan with easy access to the trains (subways). Staff is extremely nice and informative. Coffee bar very nice to have. Hotel room was very comfortable and clean. Nice TV, bed and other amenities. […] Bathroom is good size but the counter space is a bit small for two adults with all the stuff. Room is actually 480 sq. ft. which is good for NYC. The exercise room is great if you want to work out. I will stay there again. Read more
"One block from the river, hip & confortable"
Great location to chill after a day out & about. So close to the walkway along the Hudson River. One block to the Wall Street subway station. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful ... always had a warm smile. Bathroom design gave us inspiration to remodel our own at home. Understated, clean lines of the room created a relaxing, yet functional space. […] Drug store across the street (24hrs) also had a great selection of grocery items & freshly made foods. "What a treat."
We stayed here -- spending a little more than we usually would -- at our son's recommendation and felt it was worth the price. The room cost included non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the minibar and a […] wine tasting from six to eight. Read more
"Great place to stay!!"
This hotel was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They bent over backwards for us from the moment we walked in the door. The wine reception was lovely. It is not very close to all of the main attractions in NYC but there is a subway line just around the corner. It was a wonderful experience through and through. Our stay was quiet […] and restful and the room was spectacular. There is not much of a view but after a 30 state and 7 country road trip this was our favorite hotel!! "Andaz Wall Street - Excellent service & great room"
Superb service and larger than average NY hotel room. While we spent most of our time in mid-town, the quality of the hotel and attentive staff made the cab ride to the Financial district worth it. This is the hotel we'll return to in the future.
"Hotel Andaz"
The hotel staff was incredibly helpful, the room was comfortable, everything was clean, easy walking distance to local attractions and the subway system. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing.
"Excellent service and more"
They really make you feel special for staying at this hotel. The host is very accomidating when needing anything, just a phone call away. The check in went smoothly, drinks while you sit and wait for your room key. Just a block from my job, great for after work check-in. "Seems really nice, but isn't when you look close"
I would recommend this hotel to someone bc it is cheap, newly built and had a nice modern look. That being said, once you look closer, there are many areas that are already showing wear! It is as though the decor is from Ikea, and the bed was too firm as well.
"Andaz"
Reserved room under hotels.com for a non-smoking room. Arrived and hotel was booked and I was in a smoking room. NY was in the middle of a heat wave and the room temp never got south of 75 with AC set to 66 for 2 straight days. Other than that, hotel and stay was fantastic.
"Hotel is amazing"
Literally one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. They greet you and wait on you hand and foot from the second you walk through the door. They even remember your name!!! "Andaz - Financial District"
Contemporary design and very large room for Manhattan. Great staff although check in / out has a few bugs due to open aire design. Restaurant; - chefs are great, wait staff decent but could raise their game to be on par with everything else the hotel does exteremly well. On balance I would consider this my first choice in the financial district - easy […] walk to Port, Wall St. and surrounding sites of interest. "Andaz Hotel, Wall St., New York City"
We would highly recommend the Andaz Wall Street. Although the location is not the most convenient, the hotel was very good. It was efficient, clean, had great little perks (free mini bar except for alcohol, free coffee bar in lobby). The room was large and comfy. We would definitely stay at another Andaz hotel.
"Hotel Andaz--service with a smile!!!"
Chic and conveniently located, the Hotel Andaz had everything we needed for our weekend get-away to NYC. We were (amazingly!) greeted by the hostess who proceeded to offer us warm beverages--we had just come in from the freezing rain. The lobby was chic and well appointed, and the room was MUCH larger than other NYC hotels I have stayed in. I will DEFINITELY […] be back to the Hotel Andaz!! Read more
"Nice hotel"
Although it may seem a bit further away from all buzz in the City, the hotel is situated conveniently in the Financial District. There is easy access to subway stations. Hotel staff were nice and accommodating. The room was more than what we expected for a Hyatt hotel. We liked it a lot.
"Great value for hotel"
We stayed one night at the Andaz while visiting friends in New York. On the weekend, Wall Street is rather quiet, and yet this hotel is still close to a subway stop, and easily accessible. Service was good, and the room itself was a complete bargain for the price we paid. The rooms are rather stylish, and our room had great large windows. While the […] view was of Wall street and the buildings in the area, it was none-the-less pleasant. Rooms were quiet, and hotel staff was responsive to any requests we had. "An enjoyable experience"
We have been to New York City several times since our son moved there. We will stay at the Andaz from now on. The room was very comfortable and the staff was outstanding. If you don't need to be near Times Square, this is a great hotel.
"Fidi Gem: Couples Retreats, Corporate or Families"
Probably the best breakfast in town. Unbelievable well coordinated design hues, colors, lighting, patterns. Small but comfortable rooms. Exemplary reception service. Like staying on a luxury liner on Wall Street - you never want the cruise to end. Smoked glass bathroom, large shower area, clean amenities. Location is second to none, accessible to all […] subways. Disadvantage: muttering to yourself, "I can't believe I am staying at a Hyatt"; dark rooms facing tall Wall Street building encroaches on light - but with interior lighting, who needs sunshine anyway...!. Even elevator is stunning. Comfortable bedding and sheets. First class welcome mat. And do not forget the breakfast - oysters, quality breads, fruit...sensational coffee/juices. A gem. Read more
