"Chic, modern and clean"
What a great hotel. For a little over $200, you get an outstanding room with thoughtful amenities. Outlets by each side of the bed to charge your phone, glass shower, uncluttered room, and free snacks! Very clean and the service was very hospitable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed my stay at this quant/ clean hotel in the midst of the financial district . Love that all nonalcoholic beverages were free.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice boutique hotel near the water and important s"
The hotel was well located on Wall St. between a waterfront and the 9/11 memorial (and the stock exchange). It was also located close to the subway stop at the stock exchange. The bathroom was spacious with a well thought out design (versus a standard and plain looking hotel like the Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn). One drawback is the cost for parking […] in the nearby garage. The hotel doesn't have its own garage, so it costs $35/day (with a voucher from the hotel) to park in the neighboring garage. For the price and the location, it was a great spot and I recommend it for a stay in the Manhattan area of New York. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I will speak to the good things first--I stayed in a suite, which was beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable, very clean, and good value for the price. It is also the best place to stay not only for business in the financial district, but one can catch the metro almost anywhere within seconds. Full marks to the Andaz on these aspects. On the downside, […] the front desk service model was sub-standard. This is not the fault of the staff. The hotel management is trying a little too hard to be "hip" with one or two people standing around the lobby with an i-pad in hand. Check-in and check-out took a long time, and these elegant ooking ipad toting staff seemed to have to do too many roles from baggage handling, to checking in/out, to acting as concierges, and as a result were making mistakes or taking too long with all of these aspects. The information they provided on neighboring area restaurants and bars was inadequate, and on one night, they didn't even seem to know if the hotel's own restaurant was open or closed. This brings me to the next downside--life in the immediate area. If you think NYC is the city that never sleeps, you wouldn't know it from this neighborhood. A few bars, yes, but good luck finding a good restaurant that is open after 9:30-10 pm. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was one of the best hotel stays in NYC for the price I paid. Everything was perfect and I really enjoyed the complimentary snacks and beverages. There is a 24 hour Duane Reade right across the street, walking distance to the seaport, multiple subway lines, and many other sights in the area. A must stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would prefer more privacy in the shower and tub."
check in and check out very quick. Had difficulty hailing a cab out front.Genuine Expedia guest review
THIS IS BY FAR THE GREATEST HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED AT IN NYC! First, because its in Wall Street (on a Saturday) we were able to get away from the heavy foot traffic of time square and other populated areas, which was perfect. Also, we went to Times Square several times easily by the train and was able to get away when we needed to. The hotel itself is […] literally a hidden GEM! Gorgeous lobby, very very nice staff. I called for early check-in and was told dont worry its no problem, we wanted to stay later so we asked for late check-out once again, no problem you can stay until 2pm. The staff was amazing! Now, the room, as you enter the room, your jaw drops, its huge (for NY and everywhere else)! Everything was cleaned to perfection, the shower and large tub combination was the best thing ever! Rotating closet/mirror/snack bar was innovative and fresh! Hard wood floors so you do not have to worry about whats under that carpet you are walking on! The bed was well situation, large, comfortable, and clean! Honestly, I cannot explain how PERFECT this place was. There was literally no drawback. I dont want to reveal everything because there are surprises there that you need to experience yourself. I encourage EVERYONE to stay here. My girlfriend called the hotel room the best anniversary/birthday she could have ever gotten, and that says it all!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Can't Say Enough"
The staff was more than accommodating, the facility was clean, modern, trendy but most of all, surprisingly comfortable. The location was easy in, easy out and in a great part of town to walk.Genuine Expedia guest review
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. The staff at the front desk was great! Loved the complimentary snacks and beverages. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a wonderful trip to NYC and we loved the location as well as it being a pet friendly hotel. The staff was wonderful and more outgoing then any other hotel staff we had ever encountered.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value and location."
Super spacious room and bath. Great downtown location - always able to quickly find a taxi. Fantastic, accommodating staff. Beautiful and comfortable public areas. Wish I had made the time to use the free (2 hours) bicycles. Will definitely return.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed at this hotel for a week. The room was very nice and the staff was always available and ready to assist you. It is a perfect place to stay if you are doing business in the financial district or if you want to visit the NYSE or the Statue of Liberty. Thanks Andaz employees for the great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"best hotel experience ever"
I can't say enough good about the Andaz. As someone, who has many negative experiences in hotels, this turned into a total pleasurable and enjoyable experience. From the friendly, always available staff to the uniqueness of the room - took a while for my limited technological expertise to kick in - it was A1! To me it receives a 5 rating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"fantastic room in a fantastic hotel"
the hotel was located right on wall street, a few blocks down from the stock exchange, and close to many small restaurants and shops. the hotel itself was clean and modern. the room we stayed in was spectacular. i recommend to anybody staying in lower manhattan to consider staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Despite being located right on wall St, the hotel room was very quiet and extremely comfortable. Staff is very accommodating and room was clean and well-equipped. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Going above and beyond!"
Our stay at the Andaz was just amazing! What could have turned into just a mess of a trip turned into an exemplary show of service. My fiance and I were staying at the Andaz and New York City as an anniversary trip. We had a series of events that were causing us travel delays in getting checked in and off to an 8pm show we had purchased earlier. My […] fiance contacted Alexandra, the Front Office Manager. Not only was she sympathetic to our situation, but she also upgraded our room and did not charge us for the flowers and fruit basket my fiance ordered! We checked in with ease, and we were able to make our show. Thank you to Alexandra and the Andaz hotel for going above and beyond the call of service, and we will definitely stay there again when we are in town! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place in Financial District"
I've stayed at the Andaz in Midtown and this was almost as good (it's not quite as new). The staff are very helpful, the rooms are a good size, especially the bathroom with the wonderful shower. Food (we had breakfast) was very good, if a little pricey. The only reason I wouldn't stay again is because of the location - if I don't need to be in the Financial […] district, there's not much reason to come down here. "Great Starting Point"
This hotel was within walking distance (very relative, I know) of most things, and certainly within walking distance of public transportation. The staff was professional and the room was very presentable. NOTE: If you are driving, it will cost more than $30 a night to park your car in the parking lot (if they aren't full, so plan accordingly). Maybe […] I was naive to think there would be free parking... but then again, it's NYC! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke, but hotel staff immediately found a fresh room for us. The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was stylish. We would've liked to have an in-room coffee maker, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Favorite NYC Hotel"
Fabulous hotel - great rates. Staff SO friendly always - and very prompt and helpful. Very generous sized rooms and bathrooms. Convenient to all subways. And let me store my excess luggage there for a week between stays at no charge. This hotel is really worth it - I've stayed there 4 times now and will def go back. Just a very nice place that knows […] how to treat it's guests. Even sent me a bottle of champagne just to thank me for staying. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great timing and availability on Friday night."
The hotel was very conveniently located for our plans. They had a bunch of things for free -- like snacks and water which is very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Biggest room in NYC"
The rooms are HUGE! The bathroom alone is bigger than most NYC hotel rooms. Our only complaint is that in one of our rooms, the tiles on the entire bathroom floor in one of the rooms we had were totally broken. At any other hotel, this problem would have been fixed before the room would be offered to guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wedding night comfort"
My new wife and I got married in Brooklyn and decided to spend our first two nights together in NYC rather than go home to Queens (our honeymoon is in July). The hotel was convenient to our wedding reception in DUMBO and we used 2 saved Hotels.com free night credits. We were pleasantly suprised by the room - very large and divided so that it appeared […] to be two separate rooms. Lots of window with remote control room-darkening window shades. A super cool, ultra modern bathroom area with a great shower and huge tub. Two large TVs (one with a mirror on the back where my wife would get ready in the AM. A very comfortable bed. About the only thing missing was a coffee maker, and draws to put clothes away - there's a Euro-style wardrobe that serves as the divider in the middle of the room and it has plenty of room but we're used to drawers. Overall we enjoyed the hotel very much. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just getting better"
There was a VERY minor glitsch in my stay at Andaz Wall St last weekend. When this was brought to the attention of the manager, great care and thoughtfulness was shown in it's resolution. I have always found the staff of Andaz to be personable, intelligent and helpful. The hotel is run with care and pride which clearly comes from the top down. "Very nice hotel."
All of the staff was extremely helpful especially those employees in the Lobby. Food in the hotel is very expensive as is room service. A glass of milk was $11.00. They do have a delivery service they recommend that you can order food from after hours that is a little more reasonable. Everything in the way of restaurants close down early in the area […] because you are in the financial district. There is a drug store across the street that stayed open late. It did carry some food items that came in handy along with the usual things you might need or forgot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We choose Andaz for it's proximity to our son's new apartment and based on very good reviews. Everything about our stay was perfect, despite the rainy weather. We were professionally but warmly greeted by Adam, who upgraded us when he learned we would be there for our anniversary and then personally escorted us to our beautiful, big, comfortable room. […] Later , he supplied an umbrella when he saw us venturing out in a downpour and had champagne delivered to us . The hotel is easy walking distance to the re-blossoming South Street Seaport and it's daily Smorgasbar - vendors returning after Hurricane Sandy, as well as plenty of other downtown sites and tastes. Because the hotel gym was damaged by Sandy, we were invited to use the facilities in the attached Andaz residence building which were quite nice. Every staff member we encountered was very gracious. This is how a quality, luxury hotel should be! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great and comfortable for anyone."
The staff is excellent, always willing to help. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, only problem was illumination in the bathroom...I would have liked more light!Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed three nights at Andaz Wall St. on our honeymoon. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service, location, room service, cleanliness and food quality in this hotel. The minute we arrived at the hotel, it was clear that the staff would do almost anything to satisfy our needs. The only minor negative things were the traffic noise (we were […] in a suite on the 9th floor) which woke me up every day at around 7am, and the occasional bang of the next room's door closing, which was rather loud. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our three day stay was terrific and I would stay here again. Sorry that the Seaport was still mostly out of service because of Sandy, but the train is quite convenient to the west side which is where my friends live. The upgrade when we checked in was a great plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Spacious digs convenient to business or Brooklyn"
I've stayed at the midtown Andaz on Fifth Avenue but I wanted to give the funky chain's other location a try on my recent New York getaway. The downtown Andaz shares a non-descript building with luxury apartments on the periphery of Lower Manhattan. On a weekend, the surrounding streets are quiet and it's tough to get a cab—I didn't see any bell staff […] over three days and none of the hosts ever inquired if we needed transportation, even upon departure. Still, for the urban adventurer who can summon a car with a smartphone or is willing to brave the short walk west to the express trains, the downtown Andaz is worth a look. Sure, the consciously-hip design sometimes comes at the expense of function of comfort (see backless seating, trendy sinks with slow drains, or black tile in the bathroom that showcases every footprint and stray urine droplet), reception seemed understaffed, and the free honor bar is more gimmick than sbstance. But the Andaz Wall Street, particularly on the weekend, offers a combination of space, style, and substance at a price that is hard to beat. New York is the city of drawbacks and compromises, and in that department the Andaz Wall Street is sadly typical. Despite the shortcomings, it's now on the short list of places in the city where I'll hang my hat again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great base for downtown activities"
Very nice, friendly, helpful staff. Well maintained, ultra modern common areas, with a comfortable but smallish room. "Nice Surprise in lower Manhattan"
Great place to stay in every way. Loved the practical and spacious layout. Only things that I would change: The bathroom floors were dirty, and stayed dirty throughout the stay. There were plastic tags from a prior guest's shopping trip scattered about in addition to them needs a good mopping. It was also quite warm in the room. We asked twice to have […] the thermostat and system check, but it didn't help. When we checked out, the guest relations person told us that "this is just the way AC works in NYC". I lived in NY on several different occasions and never had a problem with AC, so I know this is just a random answer, but seriously, you should check out room 1004. Other than those 2 minor things, we had a lovely stay and will be back next time in the City. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth the money"
This hotel was in a great location for touring the financial district, 911 Memorial, South Street Seaport and walking the Brooklyn Bridge. It was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. "Too hot in the City"
The Andaz is a beautiful hotel with luxurious bathrooms. Unfortunately, the hotel's heating and AC system is set up so the whole hotel has to be on either hot or cold. That might be fine in winter or summer but in spring when the temp fluctuates greatly, it can make the room uncomfortably hot. My boyfriend couldn't sleep because he was too too hot.
