Genuine Expedia guest review

I've been there just for one night but I can say that the staff is very friendly but a bit inexpert, my room was really clean and very particular (pop style), the hotel location is great, just in the Sorrento center, near to the most popular locals. The breakfast was a bit poor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Palazzo Abagnale a Sorrento: Una bellissima sorpresa"
Our family of five stayed in this hotel for a week in July. The location was perfect, right off the square and within walking distance of everything including the market, train station and steps to the port. The hotel is kept immaculately clean and the complimentary breakfast is perfectly prepared. There are rooms with a street view and balconies which were amazingly quiet even during the busy time when we were there. There is no view of the coastline here. Also, our room only had a bath tub which was somewhat challenging for my husband. Other than that, this is a great place to stay for a value in Sorrento.
"Must stay here while visiting Amalfi Coast"

My two girlfriends and I stayed in one of Palazzo Abagnale's flats right in the main town square. It was much cheaper than staying in a shared hostel and much much nicer! We had a lovely private flat with a loft and balcony overlooking one of the main streets. The location was perfect and having our own space made our Italy experience more authentic and memorable than staying in a hotel. Sorrento was a perfect home base as well to explore the rest of the coast and towns.
"A perfect hidden gem"

We've just returned from 6 nights at this fabulous little hotel. Our room was hidden away on the top floor and had an amazing roof terrace with loungers, chairs and a view of Vesuvius. The staff were incredibly helpful and it really felt like nothing was too much trouble (not that we're demanding at all!). The fridge was a great addition to the room....somewhere to store the cold beers after a long day! Breakfast was great - meats, cheese, bread, cake and so much more. And of course fresh coffee of your choice. The location was perfect right next to to the main square - no hiking our of town. It was just a short stroll to the station, the port, bars and restaurants. A small supermarket is less then 2mins away. We would recommend this lovely hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Sorrento.
"Wonderful Boutique Hotel in Sorrento"

My daughter and I recently spent 4 nights at the Palazzo Abagnale in Sorrento Italy. It is a small boutique hotel (only 12 rooms) with each floor (only 3) decorated in a different color scheme. . We were on the black and white floor (3rd floor). The rooms are all super clean and bright and airy The hotel is located on the main street and convenient to all of the downtown shopping and dining. The staff is marvelous and made you feel like family. Breakfast is included (no other meals served) and features wonderful Italian pastries, fresh juice and capucino made to order. It was my daughters birthday while we were there and the staff surprised us with a cake at breakfast and sang happy birthday to her. If I ever have the chance to travel to Sorrento again I will definitely stay at the Palazzo Abagnale.
"A great experience in Sorrento, Palazzo Abagnale !!!"

First i would like to start this by saying that Sorrento is the best place to stay if you want to visit the Amalfi coast. That being said, i have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 4 nights at the begining of june and i was very impressed with its staff and services. The location its ideal, very close to the center of the city and also the train station, the design of the hotel is very modern, everything is new and the people working there tried their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was nice with a lot of sweets, the beds were confortable and, as a bonus, because we were guests of the hotel, we got a 10% discount at the Emporio Armani store loacted at the ground floor, although i dont know if that is a permanent thing. One of the few minuses would be the narrow stairs leading to the reception, which are a little difficult to climb with a big luggage. In conclusion, i would definitely stay here again if would find myself in Sorento!!!

We booked two rooms for a four night stay at the Palazzo Abagnale for a half term break and were a little nervous at the prospect of staying in a B & B. This fear proved to be totally unfounded because this fantastic little place was a hit ! The friendly staff couldn't have put themselves out for us more. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The only down side to one of the rooms was that neither the fridge or hairdryer worked but we brought our own hairdryer so it didn't really matter. Its perfectly located just off of the busy Piazza Tasso and really close to the restaurants and shops. We were sorry to have to leave and would recommend this Hotel to all.
"Our Base in our Base"

We used Sorrento as our base for a six day visit to the Bay of Naples and Amalfi Coast. And our base in Sorrento was the very nice Palazzo Abagnale. The location is perfect, just steps off Pza. Tasso, and 2 minutes from the train/bus station in one direction and the old town (and the very useful Lift to the port) in the other. We used a train, a bus, or a ferry every day, and ate in the old town every night, so the location really worked for us. The property is very well maintained, decorated in a sort-of Philippe Starck mode. Reception is up a flight of stairs from the street (from there a lift takes you to the second or third floors). The wonderful staff will assist you with your baggage. Every member of the staff we met - front desk to housekeeping - was professional, friendly, and helpful without fail. Special shoutout to Ennio. Breakfast was high quality Continental, with house-made items like fresh focaccia or fritatta and local specialty pastries featuring lemon. Espresso and capuccino made to order. We had Room 303, overlooking Corso Italia with a small Venetian balcony, which provided great people-watching when on weekend evenings the street is closed to traffic and becomes a crowded passeggiata. The room has a comfortable bed if you like them firm (we do), plenty of space for hanging clothes (drawer space is at a premium however), a desk, and a sofa. Small bedside lamps for reading. There's a safe, flat screen, hot water carafe with Nescafe/tea service, and a PC (never used it). Double-glazed windows completely block street noise and the a/c works. The decor throughout is in black and white only - pretty cool. To us, the ensuite is the weakest part of this room. It was kept scrupulously clean (as was the room itself) and everything worked well. But it has a corner shower that's a bit tight, almost, but not quite to the point of objection. Provided toiletries are scant. Bring your own soap (or buy some across the street at the super market - convenient!). Towels are small and thin. These are the reasons I downgraded the hotel one "star," but these are quibbles really, and nothing that would keep us from gladly returning to and recommending this hotel. Finally, Sorrento is an expensive town and we found that Palazzo Abagnale offers quite good value comparatively.
"Superb apartment in Sorrento"

We have just returned from a very enjoyable 3 night stay in one of the Palazzo Abagnale apartments. The staff were really helpful and friendly and couldn't help you enough. The apartment was clean and tidy, it had its own kitchen and also free wifi. The location was superb. It was within a 5 minute walking distance from the train and bus station. This was very important to us as we are usually package holiday travellers but we found it incredibly easy getting the bus from the airport to Sorrento (and vice versa), the train to Pompeii and also a bus along the Amalfi coast. The apartment was also 5 mins from where the 'action' takes place in Piazza Tasso. This a 'square' surrounded by lovely restaurants where you can sit, eat and drink and watch the world go by. Beyond the Piazza is more of the 'old town' where there are many more bars, restaurants and traditional shops. And if you are feeling a tad more energetic, you could walk down the steps/slope to the port, which only takes a further 10 mins (but remember, you have to walk back up!) I would definitely stay here again!

It was a last minute booking, it was cheap and I was stoked! I had my own private sundeck with a view do the Main Street and Vesuvius. The room had all I could have needed, bed, TV, bar, bathroom it was clean and fresh and the location was central. Very happy. The woman on reception however was a little "snooty" when I walked in with my backpack, made me forget for a minute that I was a professional woman with a good income who could afford to be at her precious hotel.
"Awesome experience and location"
04/25/14 Eduardo C Buenos Aires, Argentina
We stayed at Palazzo Abagnale for five nights. We were so lucky (many thanks to Marica for that!) and we were assigned the loft room, which is beautiful, comfortable and also has a private terrace. There is no doubt it was the best room we had on our whole trip! The staff was always nice and willing to help us. The hotel is walking distance from everything you would like to see/do in Sorrento (Marina Piccola/Grande, Piazza Tasso, Train Station, etc.) We would definitely stay there again and we highly recommend it!
