Genuine Expedia guest review

Tutto bene.Personale molto gentile e disponibile.GrazieGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I've been there just for one night but I can say that the staff is very friendly but a bit inexpert, my room was really clean and very particular (pop style), the hotel location is great, just in the Sorrento center, near to the most popular locals. The breakfast was a bit poor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a reasonably priced well located guest house. The room and amenities are immaculate. Excellent Wifi and breakfast bar included in the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Sorrento.
"Modern hotel in a great location at reasonable rates"
12/05/14 Mattrick_Swayze Los Angeles, California
Modern, sleek, hip and spacious suites that are reasonably priced and centrally located in Sorrento. We were housed in the room number 1 and it was exceptional. For two, it is almost too much space as you'll even have a couch to lounge on and a queen size bed. The sheets and bedding themselves were spotless and comfortable. You'll have a clear, modern-ish desk to do all your travel planning. It is complete with a directory and mini-bar underneath should you needed to imbibe while jotting down travel notes. One thing I really liked was the ability to open the window that has a small balcony facing the hustle and bustle of the street of Corso Italia. A great people-watching opportunity. Best thing is once the window is closed, you barely hear the noise and commotion. That said, I slept very well. Another neat feature of the hotel room is the Samsung TV in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Both feature their "Sky" TV system and that means a whole lot of channels. Being from the States, it was nice that I was able to watch NFL football too! Speaking of the bathroom, it was very contemporary. The shower/bath has its own retractable showerhead system and that meant getting very clean. It is also a spacious bathroom too. It being located on one of the busier streets of the area is actually a plus as you'll find a Supermercati Deco and other small shops only a few steps away. Perfect if you need to stock up on necessities like water bottles. If you exit and head right from Palazzo Abagnale you'll end up in the town square which is the gateway to a lot of incredible small shops and stores. I bought most of the souvenirs from these narrow streets and you'll find great deals on everything. Don't forget to stop for gelato, there is one of the best gelato places I've ever been to called Raki. If you exit and head right and then down the steep steps towards the ocean shore, you'll be able to experience the Sorrento coast. There you'll find boats waiting to take you to explore the rest of the South of Italy. A perfect docking point which is another reason staying at Palazzo Abagnale is worth it. Another reason to stay at Palazzo Abagnale is for their included breakfast. For weary or time-sensitive travelers, being able to get up and grab a quick bite right outside your room door was a huge benefit. At breakfast you'll find various packaged cookies but also warm pastries, fruits, hard boiled eggs, and sliced meats. You'll even have blood orange juice and you can have the waitress fix you up an espresso. I really liked the breakfast and as far as hotel breakfasts go, it was pretty spot on. What I also noticed at breakfast is the amount of tourists that come to Palazzo Abagnale. Whether it is from the States or other countries, I think it speaks to the hotel's welcoming nature and comfortable amenities that keeps travelers coming back. Plus the location really is fantastic. If you're looking for something more sleek, hip, and colorful than the run-of-the-mill cramped hotels or hostels, I think Palazzo Abagnale and their suites and reasonable rates is your cup of tea.
"Hotel Not To Be Missed"

My wife and I were initially booked in for a week in the end we stayed for two weeks. We were late on arrival at the hotel (10pm). The security person took us away from the hotel to be lead out to another building just off Tasso Square. The room was 'rustic' and had charm however, it was not what we expected as previous to our visit I had looked on the hotel website to have rooms displayed which showed a boutique style nothing like what we had been expecting. The bathroom floor was wet with obvious leaks in two places. To the hotel credit I expressed my unhappiness about the rooms we had ended up in. The Manager quickly moved us into the main hotel and into the attic room. This room was very comfortable and met our expectations with regards to comfort. The room had its own private balcony which was well used in the evenings. The balcony was missing a sun shade which would have helped with using the balcony more frequently during the sunny days. All staff were friendly and took an interest in what you were doing. Breakfast included the usual fare of fresh meats, yoghurts, pastries and choices of coffees. The hotel is ideally placed to be in the centre of the town close to most of the landmarks and restaurants.

Arrived at reception which was in a modern building and very up market. Only to be taken to another building which was close by, which appeared to be run down .The room was such a let down! It was dark and dismal, the navy blue curtains did not close unless you put a chair against them, the 'chandelier' had 5 bulbs and only 1 worked. The kitchen area had a kettle but no base so could not be used, and the sink was absolutely disgusting. Patched up with gunk/silicone. The shower in the bathroom was 'minging', as was the wooden rotten wet and swollen toilet seat. The shower had also been patched up with silicone. The so called manager reluctantly came to our room after we complained and requested to be moved, and told us there were no other rooms available and that the sink and kettle would be replaced two days later. This was a 'lie' as neither the kettle or sink were replaced. We spoke to other guests who had been in the same situation and after arguing for half an hour, they were given a room in the modern building. In our opinion the apartment we were given was not fit for human habitation. We would not recommend this establishment.
"Great hotel and location with excellent staff"

We stayed here for one night as part of our Rome - Amalfi Coast road trip, We were supposed to stay at Sorrento Relais but when we phoned ahead to say we were running 10 minutes late for the check in time, the gentleman (Pascal) told us he had over booked so gave us an upgrade to this hotel for the same cost, He was really nice when we got there and walked us around the corner to show us where it was. He also let us leave our car parked free of charge at Sorrento Relais. The staff at Palazzo Abagnale were excellent, especially the receptionist who checked us in and showed us to our room, The room was great with a really nice large bathroom. The location was really good, right in the main square, Sorrento is beautiful and I would definitely recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

First visit to Sorrento and stayed at the Palazzo. So close to Tasso Square - great staff, breakfast - made us very welcome. Our room was the attic which although large would be cold in Winter. Highly recommend for a short stay. Wifi/Satellite TV great. Only too happy to suggest places. We stumbled upon Meta beach and Rocky Coves just a short bus ride away.

Just got back from Sorrento and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Just off Tasso square and 5 mins walk from train & bus station (trains to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum every 30 mins). Plus 10 min walk to port for boats to Naples, Capri and Amalfi. Comfortable bed, Sky TV and plenty of room. Lots of coat hangars which pleased my wife. Also good selection at breakfast with excellent cappuccinos! Staff ultra friendly. So why not a 5? No walk in shower and just a hose which went over the bath - without a hook on wall, so not much fun given I am 6ft 2. Don't let this put you off as there are far more expensive places in Sorrento without the great location or quality on offer here. All in all a great place to spend a week or so at.
"Best hotel of trip - should be 4 stars!"

We had a wonderful stay. Lovely staff, great location, excellent breakfast - they even had soy milk for me! Clean, contemporary. They made an excellent recommendation for our favorite restaurant - Dona Sofia. Awesome stay. My only minor criticism if I had to is that the shower was a little cosy. But really nothing to complain about. Awesome hotel - great value - highly recommend!
"AMAZING LOCATION -"

We couldn't have asked for a better location in Sorrento - It was within walking distance to all the main attractions in town. The hotel was very clean and very modern fresh. The staff was very accomodating with the exception of helping with luggage. We were just on a long flight, bus, train, walk and realized we had to carry our own luggage up about 30 steps (no elevator or staff to assist). The steps are steep and narrow and very hard with a lot of luggage. I am in my 30s and pretty fit but someone elderly would be putting themselvs in danger. Overall pleasant stay and an an awesome - complimentary breakfast -

We originally booked a nearby hotel to stay but was informed by the hotel manager 1 day before our arrival that `there was a technical issue` with our room and we had to stay at palazzo abagnale. At first we were not pleased with the news as we picked the other hotel based on many reviews we read! However we were very pleased once we arrived at Abagnale. The check in staff (young girl) was very friendly and was very happy to give us lots of information about the area. the location is just perfect: right next to the main square with lots of cafes and restaurants. The room was modern and very clean. The bed was cery comfortable and they offered nice amenities. We would love to stay here on our next stay and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
