Gaia Hotel And Reserve - Quepos

Nice small hotel with 2 infinity pools and both are nicely heated (one to 32°C). Unfortunately we couldn't test the SPA (which looks nice) since it was booked the night we stayed. This hotel is suggested for couples.

Gaia offered the perfect combination of luxurious relaxation and responsive staff who made booking local activities a breeze. We were pampered from the moment of our arrival by the concierge staff who were always eager to assist, with mixed fruit drinks and a cool mint-scented towel delivered to us at check-in. Daily included breakfasts at the hotel […] restaurant La Luna were delicious and interesting (especially the authentic Costa Rican breakfast!), and we thoroughly enjoyed several dinners and tapas there as well. The hotel is seamlessly incorporated with the landscape, leading to beautiful views of the rainforest and Pacific, as well as up-close encounters with wildlife directly on the reserve itself. We even saw squirrel monkeys swinging through the rainforest canopy right next to the pool! Our concierge made great suggestions for local restaurants off the beaten path as well as fantastic guided tours and took care of all the reservations for us. Gaia even employs their own skilled guides - we couldn't believe all of the animals that Eric helped us spot and photograph in the national park! We had plans to explore other restaurants and hotel restaurants, but the food was so good, we, we ate most all of our meals at the hotel. Paradise in the form of a hotel. The service at this hotel goes beyond any hotel I have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everyone was so polite and helpful. The hotel grounds, pools, restaurant are amazing. The views are simply the best in Manuel Antonio. You are only a mile or two from the national park, public beach […] and tons of fun restaurants/bars/shops/etc. If you stay here, you have to eat dinner at the restaurant at least once. The food is to die for and the service is just amazing. The only negative that I have is the location of our room . I'm pretty sure we had the worst room ( at the bottom of the grounds, in the corner, with no view). But we were just a short walk from the most beautiful views of Man. Antonio. Also, within 5 minutes of walking into the room, we found a tarantula in our room. So I'm sorry to say that even if you dish out the money, you still cannot escape the crazy bugs here. I can not say enough good stuff about this resort, the timing they have is impeccable! Upon arrival you are welcomed with cold clothes and fresh squeezed drinks! Such a nice touch, every staff member was so kind, always knowing our names and even remembering that I liked my food cooked well done so every meal was cooked to perfection when I only asked […] one time. We were extremely pleased with the food, it was DELISH!!! SOooooo goood! 5 star! Presentation was beautiful every time. Stephen was such a great bartender too! And we saw everything we hoped for on the resort while sipping cocktails from the lovely pool; tucans, sloths & monkeys! Even in September rainy season! They have great shuttle service too this really made our stay perfect, no need for a rental car. Be prepared in general with money though.. 23% tax is steep, so we did spend more than anticipated. Everywhere you go in Costa RIca is 10% service included + 13% tax- this helped creep everything up much quicker then we expected. But it was our honeymoon so it is what it is. Best time of our lives and we will definitely be visiting our good friends at Gaia resort again soon! Read more

Gaia Hotel is amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and comfortable, and the food is excellent. my wife and me went to the Gaia for our 20th anniversary. they hotel and the staff exceeded my expectations. i have stayed in several 5 star properties over the years and this was probably my favorite. a warm and friendly greating, a welcome fruit drink and an orientation. the orientation was to show us were everything was and to tell us about the amenities […] of the property. the room had a comfortable king size bed, walk in closet, nice size shower (firm powerful shower) and a surround sound system. this was the jungle studio apartment. for the last two days since they new it was our anniversary they moved us to a suite. the suite added a dining area, sitting area and a balcony with a jacuzi tub. and of coarse i can't forget the comfy bath robe. the view from the restaurant the high on top of the hill the view, since sunset is around 6 and they have an excellent happy hour from 4 to 6, it was a great combination. the food and drink was excellent. the stay also came with a complimentary message and free shuttle service to the beach. another thing that i loved about our stay was that the owners live at the property and were out and about mingling with the guests. one day the shuttle was tied up so Thomas, one of the owners, told us to hop in his car and he drove us to the beach. if like excellent customer service and beautiful sunsets this is a must stay. Having spent many hours scouring the internet for the perfect hotel for our honeymoon, I settled on Gaia... and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Not being used to staying in nice hotels, i wasn't really sure what to look out for, but Gaia looked great and I wouldn't hesitate in wholeheartedly recommending it to anyone looking for a luxurious […] hotel. My new wife and I were blown away. The views from the pool and restaurant are breathtaking, well worth being a few more minutes up the hill away from the coastline for. The restaurant itself was incredible - some of the best food we've ever had, especially the included breakfasts. The staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome. Don't worry about not being right next to the beach. The hotel will happily take you there for free with 5 minutes notice and will arrange for you to get back again. They even have lockers and food/drink on the public beach which you can charge to your room should you so desire. Make sure you go to the beaches in the National Park (again, Gaia staff will take you). They are out of this world; like the kind of beaches you see in Bond movies! Also make sure to have a look round the reserve that the hotel is part of, it's pretty cool. There are lots of other tours and activities you can do nearby, but we mainly just relaxed in the pool/spa/on the beach. To sum up: Gaia is amazing. We absolutely loved it.
