"Close to the Bristol Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
The Plush Hotel was a lovely place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was decent. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would have appreciated better pillows. The grounds were gorgeous. It was close to the airport which was convenient for our early flight out the next morning and the staff were willing to set breakfast out early for us so long as we told them what time we needed to leave. I would stay there again.

"Beautifully appointed B&B"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 14, 2013
I was very impressed with my room. It was a single on the top floor, but extremely comfortable, extremely clean, and quite roomy actually. I had everything I could have wanted or needed, and my only wish was that I had planned for another night or two in Bath. The breakfast was just as good. I would recommend Oldfields to anyone visiting Bath. My only suggestion is that anyone coming from the train station with luggage, might want to take a cab, because the walk to Oldfields is uphill, though not too far.
"Clean, modern countryside inn"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
Very clean and modern room. Everyone who worked there was super nice. Convenient to have pub next door. Breakfasts were great, continental and made to order main dishes. A pub with good food and board games a few minute car drive away. Only down side is it's right off the freeway so you can hear cars outside and is hard to find (although innkeepers were very helpful directing us to the hotel -- we called a few times for directions and had no gps)
"No better service. Outstanding location."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 26, 2013
Five minutes walk from the train station. Ten minutes walk to the best sites in town. Desk staff were amazing. Breakfast ambiance was fantastic. Breakfast selection was okay.
"Dirty"
The room was a good size & great location, however, the room was dirty, the sheets & pillows were very smelly & I had to cover with a towel. I ordered room service at 8pm by 9.30 I still hadn't got my food, I rang down & they explained they'd not written my room number down, by then it was too late to eat, in all a very disappointing stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointing"
This hotel is in a good location, but lets itself down by poor attention to detail. The room was very cold and although a staff member came to investigate, he did not realise that the system was not working properly as the control box was showing lights. We asked for blankets but these were forgotten so we had to ask twice. We ate in their restaurant […] the second evening and the food was served late, cold and in my case, burnt to a crisp. They did refund the cost of this meal, but we would have preferred to have something edible and pay for it. The housekeeping standards were poor: towels were not tidied or replaced and a glass used for water remained at the bedside from morning to evening. We will not be staying there again. "A good stay for the family"
I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and generally find it very good. Decent sized rooms, quiet and well located. Only negatives are that reception cold be a little friendlier (as others have said) and the beds, whilst good sized, are too soft - a soft base with a soft mattress means a lot of wobbling around when either of you move during […] the night. It's like sleeping on a big jelly. Could do with replacement! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central Location"
Another fantastic stay at the Future Inns Bristol. I can highly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic only a few steps from Cabot Circus. Room was large and clean, check in and check out easy. The best part about this Hotel is the free parking option which saved me around £35 in parking fees.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely stay."
Lovely hotel - situated across the road from Cabots Circus so ideal for shopping. Car park was included with our stay (in Cabots Circus car park) which made things easier. Lights were strange in the room -you are only able to have all the lights on or all of them off which is hard when you are trying to get the kids to sleep! Staff were wonderful and […] breakfast was really tasty too and the kids ate for free with two adults paying. We stayed to visit local sights such at @bristol and ss Great Britain and this hotel was ideally situated. Will be returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location"
It's been a while since I've stayed here as it was quite expensive for what it offered. However, it's in a great location with easy and free parking. The surprise was that it's already looking a bit worn in places, suggesting the maintainance is being overlooked. The room was also not cleaned thoroughly and this was mentioned to staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable stay in great location"
Very good location, within walking distance of Temple Meads Station and right on the new Cabot Circus shopping centre. I was impressed with service and friendliness. Did not try the Chophouse restaurant, but would have done if I was staying more than one night, as it looked very tempting.Genuine Expedia guest review

Room was nice and comfy but bathroom was not very clean toilet badly stained at bottom of bowl. Everywhere else was lovely Bar was very expensive so decided to eat elsewhere. Staff seemed busy doing something else and made us feel as though we were interrupting their conversation when we tried to enquire about breakfast. Excellent for shopping though […] !!! "Perfect for Shopping and value for money..."
A value for money hotel which has excellent parking facilities, convenient for the shops and a perfect base for exploring Bristol. I would return to this hotel again. Our room was very comfortable and actually better than I expected it to be. The only thing that let the room down was the bathroom which was not as clean (mould around the bath & shower […] areas and bath panel) as you would expect. Even if a room is a little 'tired' it should be made perfectly clean. The bed pillows were also creased as though someone had slept on them before and the bed sheets had not been changed. I would like to think that this was not the case! Overall though a perfect value for money hotel to use as a base in Bristol. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"nice hotel, good central location."
This hotel is in a fantastic location for the city centre, with Cabot Circus literally just across the road. The first night I ate in the hotel resaurant, very good food and possibly the best meal I ate in Bristol, highly recommended. Room was OK, no in-room information sheet though and room was a bit cold with only a thin duvet for this time of year, […] although there is a climate control gauge. Breakfast is reasonable quality, I thought £9.00 a bit expensive however. The reception staff were extremely helpful throught my stay, I would definitely use this hotel again if I was in Bristol and consider them if I was in Cardiff or Plymouth. I loved the pictures in my room of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Severn Bridge, two local landmarks. Also the restaurant where breakfast was served was a nice relaxing area. "Issue, but handled well."
Generally a very nice hotel, with convenient free parking and helpful staff. On retiring at 11.30pm, our bed sheets appeared very creased and we feared they had been previously slept in, but couldn't be sure. The duty manager was very responsive and immediately transferred us to the room next door, where the bedding was far more presentable. Inconvenient, […] but handled well! "Perfect for Central Bristol"
The hotel is ideal for the shops and restaurants in Bristol with Free Parking behind. The room was big with a SuperKing Bed and a bed settee and the shopping centre with Bland Brasserie and Carluccios is just across the road. My top tip is to go the the restaurant on the second floor and Harvey Nichols for breakfast - it is amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent central location in Bristol"
Check out time 12 noon and free parking all day in Bristol were the key features we enjoyed, also looked after our luggage for free. Comfy bed too! We were there to attend a function elsewhere so no time to enjoy the rest of the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, close to shops!"
Nothing wrong with this hotel at all - in fact its a nice, comfortable hotel. No bath in the room but a nice big power shower. Reception staff were pleasant and good to have car park free. V close to shops too, which incidentally are open until about 8.00 at night!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable, relaxed family stay"
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were great and unhurried. we had a family room with the two children and it was comfortable enough. The kids had a great time and there was enough room for us to not feel claustrophobic (superior 2 x queen beds). Location great for popping into town. Toilet and bathroom could have been cleaner but […] I've stayed at worse. All in all, I'd recommend this place for the family-friendliness alone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great central hotel particularly for shopping"
The Future Hotel is bright and modern, and extremely central to Cabot Circus. My room overlooked John Lewis and Cafe Rouge and I was lucky enough to have a balcony room (it only looks like there are a few of these). The bathroom was extra roomy, although this may be because I had a corner room, and the bed was huge, much bigger than a king size. My […] main criticism was the temperature in the room. It was a cold few days when I stayed and the room never really heated up nicely. This was noticeable when you left the room and came back as when you took the key card out, the heating went off. A call to reception remedied the matter, and within minutes I was provided with a 2nd key card to keep in the slot to keep the heating on whilst I was out, as well as a 2nd duvet to keep me warm at night. The bar was pleasant, didn't try the restaurant but the menu looked nice and varied for a hotel with a few unusual things to offer. All in all, I'm glad that I picked this hotel out of the many on offer in Bristol. Number 1 selling point being the central location to the main shops, number 2 being the ease to find, straight off the motorway, and no need to trawl round a busy city centre, but straight into the Cabot Circus Multi-storey carpark, which comes as free parking with the hotel. The hotel is signposted from the carpark for convenience. I would definitely stay here next time I stay in Bristol. Good value for money too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ridiculous"
Me and a friend, both aged 21 - are absolutely disgusted with our experience. We stayed at this hotel for New Year, on arrival we were told we were unable to have a key for our own room due to the fact they 'werent working', but as we soon realised it was coinsedently only the people of my ages who's keys 'werent working' - couples, families and 'adults' […] all had keys. We feel completely discriminated against, beside the fact not having a key to our own room in enconvient and beyond unacceptable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"average, good parking but room for improvement"
Well situated and having free car parking next door was super helpful. The hotel reception and lobby area was ok but not hugely welcoming - that could have been the time of year (christmas and new year). The room was a really nice size, with a great wardrobe and drawer unit. And the bed was huge. Things that let it down: the bed was very springy. You […] could feel the springs, and every time one of us moved, it bounced the other - i hate that! The sheet hadn't been ironed and was very crumply, and the duvet cover was, in places, almost worn through. It was also cold, so we had to ask for another one! Staff weren't unhelpful, but they didn't seem to be brimming with joie de vivre either... kind of got the feeling that if we complained, it woudn't go down too well! Overall, not bad value for money, but I would rather pay a bit more for a decent bed with crisp linen in a smaller room! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"great value family friendly city centre hotel"
Booked superior twin queen room for 2 adults and 2 children. Good amount of space and proper bathroom (not just a shower) so kids could have a bath. Eldest daughter loved it as she got a queen bed to herself and there was still enough space to set up travel cot for her baby sister. Great value as parking at Cabot circus included with unlimited entry […] and exit. Good location at end of M32 and right next to main shopping area One of the beds was a bit on the soft side but was comfortable enough. Only real gripe was that lights in room were controlled by only one main switch. It wasn't possible to control bedside lamps independently. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
