If you're looking for a rustic setting away from touristy areas, a pristine beach, and personal service, this place is for you. There is a bed and breakfast feel to the experience without it actually being a bed and breakfast. Overall our experience was positive. We had a fun night and the beach was beautiful.

We wanted a place near the ocean but not too crowded or too expensive, yet convienently located near shopping and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised that this location met our needs exactly and the staff from the Owner and Manager to the housekeeping staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. There is a very nice bar and restaurant in the hotel and there are multiple others nearby and beautiful beaches within walking distance, the views cannot be beat. We would definitly stay here again!

Arco Iris is a great place to stay if you are looking to stay in Tamarindo. Located about a 5 min walk from the town center, which is very convenient for hitting the restaurants, shops, and bars/clubs, but just far enough away from the town center do that you don't have to hear the loud music from the bars/clubs at 2:00am. The beach is only another 5 min walk past the center of town. Richard, the hotel owner, has done a great job with this hotel. Nicely landscaped with tropical plantings, clean and nicely appointed rooms with stylish modern/tropical decor, nice but small-ish pool was perfect for a quick dip, good spread for breakfast, great open-air restaurant with a talented chef, and very friendly and helpful service from the entire hotel staff. Richards team was also very helpful at arranging tours, and providing directions if needed. We just selected this hotel from the web without knowing much about it, but i think we stumbled onto a gem. Overall a great experience! I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Hotel Arco Iris on my next trip to Tamarindo.
