We didn't expect such an "Amish" experience, but during the evening a storm cut power to much of the area around the Inn. When we returned from our evening activity, the innkeepers escorted us from the parking area by lantern light and had electric lanterns and flashlights for everyone. We were going to arrive 45 minutes early, so we called to make sure it would be okay. Got a very garbled voice message and was a bit unsure, but Ron the host called back with 5 minutes and was gracious. He was delightful; made sure we were comfortable and gave us several options and complete directions for dinner that night. The house is lovely, the […] room and bathroom were extremely comfortable and reasonable priced. The house is old stone--wifi is sketchy because of the thick stone walls, but we didn't need it as we were only staying one night. Breakfast was okay; I won't lie and say it was magnificent. It was strawberries and yogurt, French toast with fake maple syrup, bacon was storebought, coffee was very good and pumpkin pound cake. Too much sweet for me, but he did ask if we had any food allergies the night before and we said no. Charming gardens and outdoor area around the house, and Amish horses clip-clopping by was unique. Ron, the innkeeper was a wealth of information. The food was very good. The inn was convenient and wonderfully located on a road where the Amish actually own and work farms. It was well stocked with books, dvds, cds and a large screen TV for reading a watching relevant history. The other guests were respectful and quiet. Coffee and tea were available […] 24/7. The property is an old stone building on a country farm road, the owner, a Bronx NY transplant is gracious, gregarious, and voluable. The food is great, the environment is pure country with few. of the inconvieniences of country living.

We had dinner at an old style pub, recommended by the hosts, and it was the start of what would be a perfect getaway! The place is beautiful, clean and we stayed much too short of a time. We were woken up in the morning bythe horse and buggies passing by and went to sleep to Amish chants coming from next door. Totally surreal but perfect!

Ron & Pat were wonderful. Full of information about the area. The Rose room was comfortable, clean and pretty. Private bath clean an LOTS of towels. Breakfast was GREAT. Loved it!!
