Le Meridien Philadelphia - Philadelphia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A real plus was the excellent "Amuse" restaurant in the hotel. The only possible negative is that we could have used a second chair in our room. We'll definitely stay there again on a future trip.

The lobby was beautiful and inviting. My only complaint would be about the shower drain which had not recently been cleaned. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Two families went to Philadelphia and we really enjoy our stay at The Meredien. It is.a small hotel, well maintenance, friendly staff, cosmopolitan atmosphere. We did not need to use our car, everything is walking distance. Only detail that ther did not take of my crib request for 1 of the 2 rooms booked. Although they saw my friend's baby and were […] not concern about it. The additional 8 year-old boys were very happy in the hotel as well as the adults. Great Hotel and staff. No complaints!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff seemed very nice. I would suggest trying to find something to muffle the sound of the doors to the rooms- each time they close, it sounded like the doors were being slammed. At 3 am in the morning, it sounded even louder.

It was my first time staying here and I would definitely go back. The room was very comfortable and the service was good, not pretentious.

The hotel seemed a bit out of sorts -- our room did not seem very cleaned (there was a cot in there and it was missing the hotel information/menus). But everyone was very nice and it was a beautiful place. Thanks! Betsey

I booked this hotel after reviewing many potential places to stay on a Sturday night. There are several other hotels in the same area, I chose LeMeredian becasue it looke really nice and the prices was excellent, for a room with 2 double beds. PERFECT. ALL THE WAY AROUND! Excellent staff, perfect location for many things especially art museums and close to all parts of Center City for great walks around the city to check out new and old historic sites A+ all the way!

Very bad service. No doorman to assist with luggage yet there are many stairs. Not conveniently located at all. Found human hairs on the ill-fitting mattress pad. Poorly vacuumed room. Mattress sunken. White sheets were yellowing. Bottom sheet only. No top sheet-so you are expected to sleep directly beneath the comforter. No extra pillows in room. Cheap […] IKEA-esque furnishings. Un-lined wastebaskets. Areas behind night stands not vacuumed. No ventilation fan in bathroom. Trying really hard to be a chic boutique hotel. But the whole point of chic boutique hotels is that because they are small and independent the services are- or should be- impeccable. At this place they are only interested in appearance. You know- big light fixtures and streamlined accoutrements, perfumed air. But the rooms are very small. Feels like an SRO- which it was- it used to be a YMCA. Services are non-existent. The doormen seem to double as parking valets so a door attendant may or may not be available. If you have a lot of luggage you are on your own. There is no bellman. No one even greets you. You enter into a bar. Luckily they do lend you umbrellas since they didn't even have the good taste to put an awning from the entrance to the curb- which- by the way- you will need to stand at to get yourself your own cab. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food is amazing! It may be pricey, but it's worth it! I highly recommend the ice cream made one site.

When a large group was noisy the first night the hotel staff quickly moved our room the next morning and the manager called to apologize and make sure we were happy. A great experience and we will go back.

A bit pretentious for my taste. Ironing board was broken, as well as the closet door. The staff was nice at times. They also made it sound like you were bothering them when asking why their motion-sensor minibar charged you for items you didn't use.

it was ok, just ok. certainly not as spectacular as the hype. would never want to pay anywhere near their regular price. no mini-fridge in room except for mini-bar and no microwave in room. location was the best thing about it for us..

Me and my friend were VERY comfortable. Overslept until 1pm and NEVER received a phone call telling us we had to go. GREAT rate. Valet parking pricey at $38. EVERYONE VERY HELPFUL and KIND. Will stay here again.

Good location, really nice decor, great service. Would stay there again. The only negative was the sheets were dirty when we got there but they quickly changed them. Besides that, the bed was SO comfortable!

Everything from the entrance all the way to the room is cool. Simple sophisticated attractive decor, friendly helpful staff, awesome rooms, my view wasn't great but not every room can have an awesome view, I'm sure if I would have asked they would have moved me. This is the second time I have stayed here and I honestly love it. The hotel is so clean and convenient to tons of great restaurants and shopping. Would definitely recommend it and will be back again! Note- if you want to watch any sports or any television, you cannot do so at the bar, for they only play art on the television (or so we were told).

HOTEL WAS A BIT ODD IN THAT YOU WALK RIGHT INTO THE LOUNGE, WITH NO DIRECTION TO WHERE THE FRONT DESK IS LOCATED. THE FRONT DESK STAFF WAS NOT TERRIBLY HELPFUL. LOCATION WAS PERFECT TO WALK TO MOST THINGS.

Hotel is more boutique then it is luxary and compared to the surrounding hotels in that price range - it is not worth it at all. Staff are really not that sharp aside from one doorman - the gym is horrible and rooms while updated are kinda small. Location was fantastic, hotel was very clean and staff was excellent...this is somewhere I would go again and definitely recommend to friends and family..

We really enjoyed the cleanliness and appreciated the modern decor of Le Meridian. In addition to the comfort and aesthetic quality, we also received wonderful service from the front desk and other staff. We will certainly make Le Meridian our top choice for stay in Philly from here on.

We loved the friendly staff. It rained when we were there and they always made sure we had an umbrella when we left. Housekeeping was excellent too

This was a great hotel. The staff members were very nice and helpful, the room was clean with modern decor and the hotel was close to the subway. This would be a great hotel if traveling on business as it's located in the business part of the city. If you are looking for a weekend get away I would suggest staying at a hotel in the Old City as we found […] ourselves traveling to that part of town quite a bit. Great location and very hip....bathroom not that clean(hairs). They charge you for wi-fi in the room? Wi-fi is free at Mc Donald's, come on. Parking is $38.00 but there are not many options if you want to see your car the next morning and not in a tow yard or worse gone.

The Meridien is really beautiful and unique, modern yet luxurious. The staff was super friendly, room service was delicious. Loved the atmosphere and fun touches. Felt much more special than your average cookie-cutter hotel.

The hotel staff was really friendly, sadly many down sides. I used to live in Philly so I know the neighborhood very well and decided to stay due to being right next to city hall. The room is tiny especially with a King size bed, basically you can walk around the bed and no other space. If the shower is turned on to get it started and you open the […] door to get in the water gets everywhere. We asked for a second bathrobe and the buttons were hand sewn on (red thread)and about to fall off, clearly it was coming off and they tried to do something about. They do not provide complimentary water, there is a fee of $3 per bottle. No free internet. Though the atmosphere is nice and close to everything I suggest staying elsewhere for the same price. A beautiful, modern hotel in a gorgeous old building. Great staff, perfect location for walking. Centrally located--1 block from City Hall, a nice walk to museums on the Ben Franklin Parkway, the historic district, and shopping. Very comfortable rooms with cloud-like beds and nice views. My only complaint was that the bed sagged in the middle. I like to sleep on the edge of the bed and found it annoying that I couldn't do so comfortably.

I chose this hotel because of the location, price and reviews. It was ALL that and MORE! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Once we arrived, I realized there was no parking garage close to the hotel, so I called the hotel. They told us about the valet parking for $38.00. We decided it was worth it ~ and it was! We were even able to leave […] our car in the valet lot, after we checked out the next day. Once we walked around the city and arrived back at the hotel, we waited in the lobby and they brought our bags and car to the front of the building, with no problems and no extra money involved. Lovely design and friendly service make this hotel nor e of a kind in Philly. From birds chirping in the elevator to the floor plan designed to challenge your expectations, this hotel is so well considered you need to visit twice to take it all in. Recommended highly!
