We have stayed at le meridien a number of times and like its location near art museums, shopping downtown, and restaurants, all within a short walk or a bus ride. The hotel is attractive, well run, and has a very good dining room. On the other hand, the rooms are very small and not comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Ana, Thank you for the great review and comments! I hope we have the opportunity to serve you again. Safe travels, Evan
Upon arrival they could not find our reservation. My last name is De Sena and either your computer or theirs drops the "De". It took a while to figure this out. That is not a good way to start a visit. Otherwise everything was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia De Sena, Thank you for the 5 Star review. My apologies about the reservation confusion. I'm not sure whose computer system created the challenge, but I will train our staff how to search name alternatives for the future. I appreciate your business and comments. Happy Holidays! Evan
Would definitely stay again. Room with a view of city hall was great!Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Christen, Thank you for the awesome review. I'm delighted you would return. Traveler tip: our "superior" room types are those that offer views of Love Park or City Hall. Glad you enjoyed the view! Evan

"Perfect for Visit to Free Library and Museums"
Great location with super-helpful staff. Highly recommend for great walk to museums and the Philadelphia Free Library.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Charles, Thank you for great 5 star review! I am delighted you enjoyed our location and proximity to many of Philadelphia's cultural sites. Fun fact: The Free Library and this hotel were both designed by the famous architect Horace Trumbaurer. We hope to serve you again!
"Great hotel right in the heart of the city"
Terrific view of City Hall from the front door and an innovative interior are the highlights of this modern and clean hotel. We booked last minute and were put in a lovely, clean room with a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. I would definitely recommend this as a convenient and accommodating hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are SO small and the bed and pillows are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. We paid for an upgraded King room..... Not sure what was upgraded it was a very basic. Would not recommend based on the beds - literally didn't sleep all night they were so bad. Would not stay there againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overpriced in comparison to other starwood hotel"
This hotel is in a good location. I was in Philly for work. I've stayed at many other starwood properties and this one doesn't make it to the top of the list for the prices that they charge. Wifi is not included in the rate but i was given complimentary access since i'm a starwood member (so that's a big plus and typical of starwood quality that one […] has come to expect). Two odd instances - First, the bath tub in the room was clogging and i called the service desk to fix it while i was going to be out. I got back in the evening and it had not been fixed. So i called again and then they sent someone to fix. Second, after checking out, i left my bags with the bell desk and upon returning to pick up my bag, the desk couldn't find my bag. I had to go to the back of the luggage room to get my bag. Don't think i'll stay at this property again if i return. At the rates they charge, the Ritz and Marriott are around the block and are probably comparable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fabulous City Centre Hotel!"
We stayed for two days on a weekend for an off-site wedding. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Not the phony kind of friendly that real genuine niceness. The room was insanely comfortable and two incredible nights worth of sleep in that amazing bed. Our stay was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
room was clean. Staff was alright , nothing to write home aboutGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone in this hotel was so incredibly nice to us! We had requested a King room, but when it turned out not to be available they gave us both a nicer room and coupons for free breakfast. We had drinks at the bar and the bartender was both knowledgeable and friendly. "Really nice employees"
Got in rather late - very friendly and accommodating staffGenuine Expedia guest review
The bed had a horrible crater in the middle of it. I couldn't sleep because gravity kept shifting me. Also, my room was stocked with only two washcloths for a 4 person room. I called down to get more and they brought hand towels up to my room because they were out of wash cloths. I had to take a shower with a heavy, wet hand towel at 2 am. I only found […] out about the bed, after the whole wash cloth situation, which made everything worse. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Decent hotel but not in a great area"
Third stay for business. Next time will stay at Westin. No good restaurants on the block. Unless you walk a few blocks or get a cab, you are forced to eat at in hotel restaurant. Excellent food but very pricey for a business expense. "Park" across the street is questionable. Last, the thermostat is on a motion detector so it gets too warm while sle […] eping. "The air-conditioning was not working properly."
I primarily enjoyed my stay. However, as fore mentioned the room was stifling; it was in Philadelphia Pennsylvania during the summer. Therefore, an appropriately working air-conditioning system would've been most appreciated. The hotel's decor was very nice, as was the setup of the room I rented. Still, the room had no additional linen, like the majority […] of the hotels I've stayed in. Therefore, I found myself without enough pillows. I'm one of those individuals whom requires additional pillows on my bed, which isn't too much to ask. Lastly, each if the four days I was there I was missing so parts of what's required to prepare a cup of coffee in the mornings, which obviously is a painful way to start out the day. I found myself struggling to not "get frustrated and ruin my vacation". In the end, the stuff I've mentioned was minimal when considering the fact I was safe, felt safe, was able to sleep almost peacefully, and enjoyed myself tremendously. "one day business meeting"
Can't complain about anything. Hotel is a bit dark feeling, but it was also a rainy day. Rooms are very nice, comfortable. Just request one with a window facing out. now that i know to do that, i will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Whirlwind weekend tour! Hotel was clean and modern. the staff was courteous and helpful. The location is as a base for touring the city. Ablock from Reading Terminal Market. Great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but get a room that faces outside"
I was greater nicely at the door. When at the check in counter, I let the rep behind the counter know that it was my first time at the hotel. I also said, anything you can do to put me in a nice room would e appreciated. When I got to my room I was very disappointed. It was very tight and more so it had a window that only looked in to a very dark interior […] lounge area. I called the front desk and asked for a different room with a real window, and only when I asked for a manager did they put me in another room. I loved my other room. Appropriate sizes for the furniture, and lovely windows facing the street. Room service was on par and very good. So my opinion of the hotel would have been almost perfect if they disnt first put me in a horrible room. Happy traveling :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Terrifice hotel and a great value. The staff was very helpful and friendly and it was close to subways, restaurants, attractions. We went for college tours and we were so glad we chose this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good staff, very comfortable"
The good: -Very accommodating staff - I called the day before my stay and informed the desk that we would be arriving around midnight, and that since I had lived in Philly, I preferred a quiet room to a view of city hall. The young woman at the desk was expecting our arrival, was very pleasant and helpful, and mentioned that we had been given a quiet […] room. The room was in a corner, on the 9th floor. -Comfortable rooms - Huge bathroom with decent shower pressure. King bed with a very nice duvet. Very design-y furniture and calm but stylish colors. Plenty of TV channels and outlets. -Good location - 14th and Arch. Despite what some may tell you, the neighborhood is safe. You are very close to Center City attractions without hearing bar noise, and within a stone's throw of the City Hall subway and el stops. Reading Terminal is 4 blocks away, and Olde City, the Gayborhood, Center City, etc. are all walkable. The not so good: -very expensive parking (I parked in West Philly on the street for free and took the El over) -no free internet in rooms (but it was available in the business center) For those who would complain about no breakfast included, I would say Reading Terminal, 4 blocks away, has a huge variety of cheap options. We got a great deal on unpublished rates (hotel name after purchase) and this place is normally a bit too pricey for us. However, we go to Philly a lot, as I used to live there, and if possible, this would be our new go to hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overall good, but a couple caveats"
The hotel felt very modern and chic. The single King room was a bit small. The hotel was very centrally located. It was right across the street from the convetion center and walking distance to both Reading Market and Rittenhouse Square, where we spent much of our time. The staff was friendly and attentive, staying one step ahead of us and meeting requests […] promptly. Now for the downsides: 1. Our room was located on the top floor, basically eye level with the convetion center, which if you're not familiar, has these obnoxious, bright neon lights that change color flashing at night. Even with the blackout curtains drawn, the bright light was leaking through the cracks a bit. This was only a minor annoyance, and there's not much the hotel can really do about it, but perhaps it should be noted with rooms that have this issue so visitors know beforehand. The more significant issue was that my girlfriend broke out with a bit of a rash/hives both mornings. She has no knowledge of prior allergies or what might have caused this. We suspect it was the soap or possibly the moisterizer the hotel provided, but again, she doesn't have a real history of sensitive skin, so we can't be certain. We did mention it to the staff and they were sympathetic, but without knowing what the culprit was, it was tough to know what to do about it. It's worth noting for travelers who may have sensitive skin, and was the one significant blemish on an otherwise lovely stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Room, Great Staff, Great Service"
Le Meridien was one of the best hotel stays I've had. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable and clean. The colors and textures of the room were really inviting, too. The shower was strong, which I love. The staff at the desk and the bar were really cool and helpful. Sherwin at the bar is a fine mixologist. I'd come back, for sure. "Acceptable, well located"
I walked into freezing, strange-smelling room to find bug in the low-spec, unattractive shower. Got into bed and found spot on duvet. Disappointing for this price bracket.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great new style in a classic setting"
Great stasff wonderful lobby neat building and cool roomGenuine Expedia guest review
There is no option for self parking. Therefore you are forced to use Valet Parking which is $48/night. Additionally, they claim that it is a 24 hour rate. But you must take your car by 6:00pm. So if you arrive at 11:00pm, you would not have the 24 hour allowance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the museums and restaurants"
Good location for thr barnes, museum of art and franklin institute. Comfortable room and quiet for sleeping at night. The hotel did not have a coffee table in the morning which is normal for the class of facility but cafe cert and Starbucks were close by .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Most wonderful guest service I have ever had"
The hotel was conveniently located to every thing that we wanted to see in Philly. The staff was eager to please and even let us stay until after noon on check out day. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. I was thrilled to see that even though they went for a modern look and feel in the decor, they did not destroy or change the gorgeous wood […] work in the lobby. That would have made me very sad!! "Nice hotel but horrible parking and room"
Nicely built hotel with nice lobby. Closet public parking is 2 blocks from the hotel and hotel valet parking is $40/night. The room I was given, room 728 to be exact, had a bath tub stopper that did not stay up so the tub filled up as I was taking a shower (very disgusting). And the bathroom sink drained so slowly, which is annoying especially when […] brushing. Also, the ceiling in my room had some pieces of party paper still taped in a corner and left over gift wrapping material in one of the drawers. The phones were also very dusty. Made me question whether the bed sheets had been changed at all. It was just a one day stay but do not think I will be back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Stylish and civilized"
I stayed at Le Meridien Philadelphia on business. I found the hotel both beautiful and comfortable. While not gigantic, my room was elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean, and quiet. Clearly, much attention is paid to the details at Le Meridien. (However, I do wish there had been some non-synthetic pillows on the bed.) The fitness center was on the spare […] side, but there is a large gym right next door to the hotel. The staff were uniformly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms were okay but small. Everything is cramped in one corner. Slow check in and check out. Location requires walking to food or anything interesting. Hotel staff was slow when housekeeping was requested. Hotel is okay not sure if I'd stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm Surprised that a 4 star Hotel such as Le Meridien was not clean as could be. In fact our room had to be changed because of this. Sticky, Fresh liquid rings were next to the complementary water. I thought it was in the texture of the marble stands but it was on Top and had not be cleaned from the previous stay. When turning the light on it was a […] lot of visible dust that you could tell had been sitting and does not get cleaned of of the light fixtures. When our room was changed. the dust was still in the same areas, I even touch it to see is it was part of the design but it was not. It just wasn't cleaned. The bathroom mirror (The personal one) had a lot of dust on it until the black shirt that I had on looked like I had lint all over me but it was in the mirror. I won't talk about the walls and curtains and what I found or the tray of food that my wife tripped over when we came up on our floor - we checked in at 3:30pm and came back at 9:30pm and the tray was still there. In this hotel was a real turn off to me but I did take pictures of all. I must say that the beds and pillows were an absolute dream and were the star of the room. Kudos on that. "Over night stay"
We will not stay here again. There was some sort of promotional party going on in the atrium which ridiculously loud music vibrating the whole hotel. I would have never booked this hotel if I knew before hand. Room was also really smallGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Thank you for your comments and feedback. Please allow me apologize that the event held in the atrium interfered with your experience. I can assure you this is not a regular occurrence or event. We allowed the group use of the space knowing it would end before dinner time but did not expect them to be as loud as they were. We will make efforts to eliminate this in the future. We hope you will reconsider our hotel again, as we would like to earn your business.

"Fun modern hotel, easy to get to location"
Le Meridien was the most affordable four star hotel for our trip & it was an excellent choice. The decor was modern. The front entrance opens to the hotel bar rather than the front desk, but staff seem accustomed to the confusion and directing you around the corner to the left. The room was decent sized with comfortable beds and and enormous bathroom. […] The location has easy access to public transportation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A little stuffy!"
We loved this hotel. The rooms are great and beds very comfy! The staff was kind and accommodating. The other guests, though, we're a little stuffy. It seemed that most people in the lobby/ bar entrance were waiting to be noticed or looking to see if you were somebody worth recognizing. We really did love the hotel's style and staff, but not so much […] the type of guests it attracts. I think we were just a little more layed back than the typical guests.
