"Great historic building conversion, Great location"
Enjoyed the hotel, the staff and the location. Everything was easy to walk to in Center City. Rooms are clean and modern. We would stay here again any time we are in Philadelphia.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice rooms, nice bar, nice all around"
This is a cool place and perfectly nice. No complaints at all. Off the beaten track from my business destination, but that's not the hotel's fault! The front door is not ramp-accessible (not that I noticed anyway) so if you have a heavy suitcase or a wheelchair you should ask about that first. With just an overnight bag to carry in, walking up a few […] glamorous entrance stairs was nothing to worry about. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"clean friendly and fresh!"
Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference and of course we also took advantage of downtime. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; they provided recommendations for nearby restaurants and offered to make reservations for us. As two 20-something young professional females, we felt very safe; we were greeted by doormen in the morning and at night […] and you cannot ride the elevator unless you have a key. The room was very clean and good temperature control, it is very modern and uniquely decorated. Beds were super comfortable, shower temp and pressure were excellent. Free wi-fi. They also gave us a 10$ voucher for the hotel restaurant and bar which we gladly used for wine on the last night there (we got the voucher because I chose the "green option" which means I elected to not have my room serviced everyday with new towels, etc). If you eat at the restaurant I definitely recommend the French onion soup. The hotel is also a 5 min walk to the Mariott Convention Center, Reading Market, and a 10 min walk to Walnut Street and 13th street which has a lot of great restaurants, pubs, and shops. "Excellent hotel, good restaurant, good location"
We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is chic, modern, clean. Perfectly located for sightseeing. The restaurant was excellent, much better than I have experienced elsewhere, much like a good restaurant in a European hotel. I did think that the bed was softer than I like, I suppose some people must like a soft mattress. Very satisfied and would certainly […] stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing hotel. Stay there"
We had an amazing time at Le Meridien in Philadelphia. The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating, the hotel looks beautiful and the rooms were perfect. If you are looking to visit Philly and want to experience a more modern and original environemnt (compared to the standard hotel chains), you should absolutely stay at Le Meridien.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Ashley, Thank you for sharing your experience. I apologize that you did not leave our hotel feeling like a valued guest. Certainly we should never be rude towards a guest, additional details are always helpful so I can address the issue specifically. "If you get a street view great view of City Hall"
Room was clean but for the price I expected more. Just bare bone toiletries. The staff was helpful. They recommend a great local diner for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed a clean room and helpful staff. We always have additional toiletries available upon request and would be happy to deliver on your next visit. Traveler tip: when planning your visit, reserve a "superior" room, they are the ones that offer a view. Enjoy your spring, Evan
"Nice hotel trying to be more than it is"
Entering onto the bar with an unclear path to the check in counter is the first odd thing about this property. It's an interior facing structure, where all the windows view the sides of other buildings. The decor is modern mixed with older architecture, but the flow is all off. Rather than fresh and cool, it feels awkward and disorienting. Especially […] if you arrive back to the hotel when the bar is more full, then the entry is crowded with people and it's hard to navigate through to the elevators. What should be open pathways are blocked with large groups of furniture and areas left open are strange. At one point during my stay, there was some sort of event and a banquet table took up the already narrow and only usable passageway to the lifts from the entry. The furniture, lighting and finishes are all lovely and nice, but the awkward space was a deal breaker for me. A mattress with a permanent valley from previous guests and the fact that the location is just enough off the beaten path means I likely won't stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Sam, Thank you for sharing your experience. I apologize that you didn’t find the hotel to your liking and certainly the mattress should have provided you with a great night sleep. Our hotel does have a very different arrival feel. When we rescued this century old building from demolition, we worked with the historical commission to protect as much as possible. In the lobby area, it left us with only one location for the bar, immediately when you walk in. Thank you for the great comments on the furniture, lighting and finishes. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope we will have the opportunity serve you again. Safe travels, Evan
"good location interesting building"
Interesting conversion of some older building. Staff very pleasant. Room fine. Good location in the centre. Car parking outrageously expensive (common in the US) and vehicle apparently parked in a distant suburb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very clean hotel with great, friendly staff."
All of the staff made me feel welcome and made sure my stay in Philly was great. The rooms were very clean with a sophisticated style. Its located in the heart of Center City, just walk outside the door and you can see city hall, walking distance to the PA convention center and around the corner from the Philly Academy of Fine Arts. "Great location with modern decor"
The location is great, right in the middle of city center. I had accidentally got a king size bed when making the reservation but they were able to give us a double bed room. The stay was great, very helpful and courteous. It is a very cool, modern hotel. If you want a great view this may not be right hotel for you, we did have windows but they looked […] right into the next building. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. The only complaint we had was that the closet looked as if it had not been cleaned in years but we just closed it and enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Poor service but they try to make it up to you!"
I attended a show at the Convention C. so was very convenient. Speaking comfort of the room, it was great, spacious, nice bathroom, facilities look modern & they have this amazing Green program, where if you don't ask for new towels you get a $10 voucher under your door that you can use at the French restaurant downstairs! Now disappointing partS 1) […] I called several time for room service, person I had on phone was not nice at all! After a couple of times, I had to tell her to let me know if I was annoying her and she repeated: 'What can I do for you Mam?' Once our call over, she called me back to apologize... 2) Got stuck in elevator! I asked to talk to the GM of the hotel, (10.30pm) I had his voice mail, left a msg. He left me a msg the next day, I tried to call him when I came back but got his voice mail again, at the end I just gave up! 3) I didn't put the Green prg tag on my door to get new towels, I come back to my room, the iron table is still out, I had my phone charger & adaptor on the bed &I find them on the floor, my cloths thrown up on a chair. I called AGAIN to complain AGAIN, manager of cleaning staff apologized, asked if I needed anything, I say no. I went out for dinner & when I came back I found a tray with fruits & a letter of apology for the inconv.. When I went to check out, the waiter of restaurant told me that GM of the hotel wanted to see me regarding the elevator issue, I had to go take my flight so didn't go. Great hotel - friendly valets even at 2am - clean room - spotless bathroom. Only issue was the one bed - the mattress seriously needed to be replaced - there was a giant gully in the center of the mattress - my husband and I felt like we were hanging onto the edges all night. I finally went over to the other bed at 530 and it was normal - but we had […] to be up at 7am so not a huge help. "Good location. Tiny Rooms. Parking Rip Off"
The room itself is very small, yet the bathroom is gigantic. Not an ideal design. The valet parking service was convenient, but the overall cost for parking was very unreasonable. Clean room, good location, but I'd explore other options if returning to the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Dave, Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad you enjoyed a clean room, big bathroom and our good location. I apologize you felt the cost for parking unreasonable. I can assure you our rate at $40 plus taxes is less than or equal to comparable hotels in Center City. "Pretty good hotel for convention visits"
Right next to the convention center which is a big plus, Great Drinks at the bar , Clean rooms, View wasn't too good as If I looked out the window it was a really horribly deteriorating building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, good staff, mediocre facility"
Location is ideal, a block or so from Convention Center and City Hall. It's about as central to everything as you can get. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was midling. Our room was small by any standard, about 2 feet between the end of the bed and desk/TV. No room for a reading chair or anything of the sort. Worse thing was the room […] faced inward to the building, onto a narrow atrium area. So the room had no natural light, no view to anything outside. You have no clue what the weather is like outside. If you decide to stay here, ask for an exterior facing room unless you're a mole. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The staff was excellent. Location perfect for downtown. Parking fee a tad high. "Great service, great value"
Nice place. One of the two computers in bus center wasn't working, and there seemed to be a problem with the lights on the key system on doors. Locks worked, lights didn't. Not our style. My husband and I live and work near center city so every once in a while we will stay in town for a night. This hotel was a change for us as we wanted to try something new. Very nice hotel. Great staff that was very friendly. The man that took our luggage to our room was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. I will definitely go back and will send my friends. Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Mary, Thank you for the FIVE STAR review! I am delighted you enjoyed your visit and the service provided by the bellman and our friendly staff. We do offer complimentary WiFi service in our guest rooms. I apologize if that was not clear on the login page. There is a charge for higher speed and bandwidths for those with streaming network needs. Traveler Tips: parking at Philadelphia hotels can be very expensive. Valet is generally a better value if you plan on using your car frequently during your visit with unlimited in and out privileges. There are 6 self-parking lots within a block of our hotel offering various hourly or daily rates. Our door staff can provide directions to those locations while we deliver your luggage to your room. Street parking is limited and generally not available for overnight guests. We appreciate your business and hope to serve you again, Evan

"European Hostel Feel"
My girlfriend and I stayed in a standard room with a king-size bed. As a positive, it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in—clean, supportive, complete with real down pillows! The negative was that the room was very small and poorly laid out. There was some kind of all-purpose desk/table with one high barstool that unfortunately also […] held the TV on it, so it couldn't really be used for anything other than knickknacks. My girlfriend said the room made her feel claustrophobic. When the room was made up, the staff did something I've never seen before: They just kind of roughly styled the bedsheets and pillows, without really making the bed. I guess as the price of luxury drops every year, so do the standards to which "luxury" is held. Another negative: Valet overnight parking cost $48 for 24 hours. Every DYI parking lot in the area cost $30+tax for 24 hours, but it was winter and there was snow on the ground so we decided to go valet. This is more a negative for the city of Philadelphia in general! Overall+: clean, comfortable beds, efficient. Overall-: bare-minimum staff, small room, expensive parking. "Better than expected"
I stayed at this hotel 1 night for a weekend vacation to Philly. I got the room as a deal on Hotels.com/ The service here was greater than expected. The doormen were always welcoming and polite, the valets were quick, and the concierge was helpful. The lobby's interior was very modern, but a bit confusing with an odd layout with a bar centrally located […] and the check-in desk hidden around a corner. The rooms were neat and clean. The bathroom door is actually a sliding wood piece that is more form than function, don't expect any privacy in there. The bed was extremeley comfortable but ,again with the odd layout ,the TV was lateral to the bed instead of faceing the foot of the bed. It was just an obvious flaw in the design that it kind of bothered me. The minifridge is stocked with overpriced alcohol and snacks which was a disappointment. Don't expect to store anything in there. Overall, Le Meridien was a great modern looking hotel in the heart of Center CIty, in good proximity to many of Philly's best attractions. The area around the hotel seemed a litle grimey, but I didn't feel unsafe. The service was excellent, but the room left a little to be desired. If you're looking for a nice cushy place to lay your head after a night bar hopping around Center city then this place is for you. If you're looking for something a little more grounded and classic then look elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff were very nice, rooms very clean, beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend. ..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location, location, location - three words - it is perfect. But the hotel itself is far from it. The room was cleaned very hastily. The furniture was covered with a thick layer of dust and remained dusted throughout our stay. Just one person tending the front desk and the line to check in and out was really too long. The parking personnel broke the […] key chain to my car and did not even make an effort to apologize despite my comment while at the same time the daily \weekend rate for parking is $48. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Le Meridien Philadelphia Jack Thank you for sharing your experience. Allow me to apologize for condition you found your room in and for the issue with your car key. "Expensive hotel in city center"
There was only one person at the front desk at 9pm. Several of us had to wait in line to check in (I waited 23min). Despite having booked everything online, I had to go through all the details again. Then the key would not work in the elevators to go up to the room. Several attempts at reprogramming finally got it working. Once in, the TV wouldnt work! […] By now, it was 11.45pm. Having an early start the next day, I couldnt be bothered to change the room, so I just gave up on being able to watch the olympics that night. Not sure if this is a standard theme of the hotel, but one experience is enough for me, especially when there are several other options available around this hotel.
