This was a very convenient place. I did an art show in Pendelton, about 6 miles away, but the Microtel an easy acess to I-85 when I left. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was good. There's a convenience store and MacDonald's across the parking lot and several restaurants, including Outback you can walk to easily.

Our first impression was the overall cleanliness of the facility. Staff was courteous and helpful. Walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper, hope for quieter neighbors than we had. Our room was not cleaned in between our two days and nights of stay, so I did have to get fresh towels from the front desk.

We visit our daughter in the area occasionally and always try to stay at this hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and modern; the continental breakfast is just enough for us; and the warm chocolate chip cookies around dinner time are an added treat. It's the most reasonable hotel in the area (unless there is a Clemson football game and then good luck […] getting a room anywhere!), plus there is easy access to I-85. Read more

Know what you're getting into...I had never stayed at a Microtel before. Therefore, I had no idea how small their regular rooms are. We walked in (with our 19-month old son...and his pack-n-play) and immediately walked back to the lobby to ask for a larger room. It was impossible to move around in. The suite was great but obviously a little more $$ […] than we were expecting to pay. Overall, it was still a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly. Nice hotel with convenient transportation (right at the intersection of Hwy 85 and Hwy 76/28) and dining options. The room is clean and price is reasonable. Everything is perfect excep the air conditioner is a little bit noisy.

You get more than what you think except the inner wall between rooms was so thin that you can easily hear everything from the room beside you and carpet was not clean in the room, however; I got more than what expected and that's not gonna be my last stay in this hotel

The front desk guy couldn't tell me anything I needed to know about the surrounding attractions. Then when I called to say the toilet in my room kept running every few minutes, some man (apparently not maintenance) came in, bent the rid, and left. It kept running only worse! When I reported this to the front desk guy, his response was that he could […] move me but I was only there for one mare day anyway. And by the way, the maintenance guy was going to be off for a few days so there was nothing that could be done about it. Rather than pack up and move, we dealt with it, only to find out that them I fridge froze everything! When I turned it down it made noises all night long. Every time we walked through the lobby one of two young men was there watching TV or talking about girls. Never greeting or acknowledging us. The housekeeping kady was vaccimming as we were trying to have breakfast, which was rude and ran us out. The hotel is nice. Fairly new with clean comfortable beds, but I will not stay there again. We frequently choose Microtels when we travel and liked this one because they use two queen beds instead of two doubles. We found everything as expected, but at least in our room it is time to buy new mattresses. Ours was sunken in the middle which made it very hard to share.

Breakfast buffet is meager to be kind. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in halls and adjoining rooms. Rooms and building are clean; staff pleasant and competent.

I liked how clean this hotel is kept, and the care taken by the housekeeping staff. The desk staff was adequate though not totally "on the ball" all the time. Since people don't clean up after themselves well when using the breakfast area, it was sometimes difficult deciding which table to sit at based on the messes left on them.

Impressed by the hotel as it was our first Microtel stay. I only had 2 issues with our stay: 1. the bathroom floor was in need of bleaching grout lines 2. Average noise/ conversations were able to be heard from other rooms and hallways....haven't experienced that at a hotel previously as much.

The room (fourth floor, across the hall & 1 to the right from the elevator) was fine, but there was an extremely strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway; it was obvious that that is the 'smoking' floor. Once or twice during our stay we caught a whiff of smoke in the room, but the A/C unit took care of it quickly. Staff did offer us a 'smoke-eater' […] and/or to move our room, but didn't find it objectionable inside, nor worth the hassle of moving once we got settled. (which was very late on Thursday, June 21, and we had plenty to do the other days). More attention to cleaning the carpet & walls of the hallway would help. The pool was VERY appreciated! Hotel was easy enough to find. Checkin quick and easy. Lobby area was modern and clean. Got to room and it was like an icebox set on 65 degrees. I like it cool, but that was a stretch! Room was relatively clean at first glance, but as I settled in I noticed some hair in the bed, quite a few stains in the carpet and some interesting dried white liquid […] on the alarm clock I refused to touch. The bathroom also had some minor hair issues and the tissue box holder in the wall was hanging out and wouldn't stay put. I'm a guy who's not really picky, so none of this made me go complain or anything, but you might not be the same. Only I've or beverage vending is in the lobby, so that's my horribly convenient, but not a huge deal. Read more

We reserved a NonSmoking room but upon arrival was given a smoking room. I am highly allergic to smoking. Was told we could down grade to a different room but no price difference would be given. The carpet in the room was EXTREMELY dirty like ash trays had been dropped on it &it the hotel did not clean it. Due to the nature of our visit being an unexpected […] death &the late time of our arrival, we just stayed. Would not recommend this hotel to non-smokers due to the mixing of rooms.
