Everthing was great except for 1 thing. TV was not operating. Stopped by desk in morning and reported to the desk clerk. She was very good and sent a repairman up to our room to fix it. Of course it was checkout time and we didn't need ut any more.

We were in the back of the hotel and they warned us we might need earplugs and that they were already provided. We should have asked for another room right then. From all of the traffic on the highway I woke up at least 20 times and had a horrible night sleep - and that's with the earplugs in! The roads around this hotel are confusing. While it is not their fault specifically, it is not easy to get to from one direction unless you drive by it, and do a U turn to come back to it. Close to Route 1, Longwood and Kennet Square. Very helpful pleasant check-in desk staff. You'll need to ask for room on parking lot side as Route 1 bypass is on other side of building. After no luck following the instructions card, the woman at the […] front desk told me to call a 800 number!!! I asked for the manager who came up and quickly got me online. I suggested they change the instructions card to reflect what needs to be done. Connecting should be simple! The room would be just right if they had a nice comfortable easy chair and foot stool/ottoman rather than just a wall chair. The room A/C/heating unit was pretty noisy waking me up in the middle of the night with a loud buzzing noise. Please provide an extra blanket in the room. The hotel gym was very nice and fully functional with two treadmills, one elliptical, weights, exercise mat, towels, spring water and disinfectant wipes. The HD TVs attached to each machine were great but remember to bring your own earphones to plug in if you want to hear anything. There was an indoor pool and hot tub. This place has all of the usual comforts and conveniences. Nothing over the top, but nothing really lacking, either. Just what I needed, and located just where I needed it. The only real criticism I can bring regards the complimentary breakfast. The problem is that it's located in a place that's way too small to accommodate the crowd that shuffles in, especially on a weekend morning. If it was laid out differently, it might work better, but having it all along one wall, and in a corner...well, it was just uncomfortable. My advice to those who are here on a weekend would be to skip the free breakfast and find one of the fine local establishments to start your day. breakfast was ok, nothing special. we had to change rooms because our first one had a spotlight right outside the window and the curtain did not extend the length of the window. otherwise, people were very nice and changed room for us. 2nd room was better, but they should spend a little extra for a blackout curtain.

Every single staff member, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, were polite, cheerful and conscientious. I appreciated the friendly and helpful atmosphere that was maintained without the staff being overbearing. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the suite of a reasonable size. Air quality seemed to be very good, which was a pleasant surprise as this is not the case in so many hotels. The bathroom was sparkling clean and pleasant, although the inside of the bathtub/shower was extremely slick, which could be a problem for children or for those who are a little unsteady on their feet. Housekeeping did a meticulous job, though I would have preferred that they come by earlier than 2:30 pm daily. I would highly recommend this hotel to business or pleasure travellers and to families, and would definitely stay again. The location is convenient to historic Kennett Square, to the Brandywine Valley museums and attractions, to Longwood Gardens, and to Hockessin, Delaware and only 30 minutes from Wilmington. There is some traffic noise from Baltimore Pike in front of the hotel during commuter hours, but otherwise the hotel was quiet and I did not have a problem with noise from other occupants...and that is saying something, given that our room was opposite the elevator! :) Read more

The location and finding the hotel was not exactly the easiest at night. Lighting on the highway was not the greatest and can easily miss the exit for the hotel.
