Went during the recent college visit and booked ahead, showed up and the poor girl who was there just came on duty and did all the paperwork etc then realized we didn't have a room. Eventually after quite a period of time we did get one but it was late at night and based on this experience I won't be going back.Genuine Expedia guest review

We broke down on I-81 and pulled off and happened to be close to the Microtel. We booked the room and were very pleased with the service. "Rough start but great finish"
I needed a room for under $100 for the Carlisle Car Show and this was 20 minutes away on I-81 and looked nice. I was not disappointed in the hotel because it was very new and clean. My first night I ended up in a handicapped single with no hot water in the morning. The next two nights they put me in a suite with a wet bar, hot water and cut the room […] rate even further. The service was great and they offered to follow me up to the room because the key cards were not always working. Bed was comfy but the towels were not soft. "Very nice, low-cost place to stay"
Due to a relocation issue, had to spend 5 unexpected days there. About the only criticism I had was the ice machine was temporarily out of service on my floor (fixed by day 3), and the free breakfast was slightly less appealing that typical complimentary breakfasts - fruit, toast/bagels, coffee, cereal, danish, do-it-yourself waffle station (from batter), […] but no eggs or meats. This hotel was really clean and well kept, hotel staff was very nice, however when we were checking in, they had problems with the expedia reservations and had to call tech support, which took forever! Front dest was very nice. The breakfast could have had more of a selection, but the hotel was pretty much empty so I guess they didn't want too much […] food out. I thought the customer service was great, and helpful. However, when we went to the room, the room was horrible. There were spider webs, mud on the bed skirts, the desk chair had old food stuck on it. We typically stay near Harrisburg on our trips home from Florida. This Microtel will be our destination of choice. The room was a good size, clean, and quiet. No complaints or concerns whatsoever. "You get what you pay for"
Stains on most towels, and bedsheets had large stains and hair all over. Requested a fridge but never received one. Had to ring bell at front desk each time to get someone to emerge several minutes later. One time I rang the bell and no one was around at all. My room and the rooms around it had the non-smoking sign on them, but there was a strong smoke […] odor in the hall that later leaked into my room. The design of the rooms and hotel is modern and the price was inexpensive, so I can't give them too low of a rating. There was a strange odor in the 3rd floor hallway. There was a spill on the floor in the lobby that was sticky on our feet when we checked in and still there the next morning when we checked out. We were in town for the Car show/swap meet in Hershey. The outside of the hotel and the lobby are very nice. However, our room was not what we typically expect for the money. We were not sure the sheets were clean as they looked stained and very wrinkled. The perimeter of the room was VERY dusty. From what we could tell, they emptied the trash, made […] the bed and put in new towels. There was no cleaning or vacuuming during our 5 night stay. The breakfast was disappointing too. There were waffles to make and a single bottle of syrup for everyone to use. "Right Between Hershey and Gettysburg"
We wanted a place near Hershey and Gettysburg and this hotel fit the bill. It was about 30 minutes from each destination and right off the interstate. We stayed Monday thru Saturday and had no real complaints (other than the noisy neighbors and their loud kids). The tub faucet dripped, but it wasn't loud enough to cause problems. I would have preferred […] a little better breakfast menu, but if you're into the basic toast and such, it was ok. It ended at 9:00 so we only made it once anyway. The rooms and common areas were nice and clean and the employees were pleasant. There was nothing in the immediate vicinity, other than a Turkey Hill gas station, but that only kept traffic light.
