"A fine hotel"
The staff was kind and helpful; assisted us with visa questions, directions and booking train tickets. The room suited our every need (ice, wifi, international calls). The price was especially reasonable, we've paid as much for hostels. The location was away from the popular attractions, but there is metro station across the street; there is also a […] fun, charming bazaar at a nearby Russian village market, worth a visit. "Clean, comfortable hotel. Great location."
ROOM: clean and spacious with a decently sized closet and a small table with a couple of chairs. Comfortable beds. Mini bar and safe. The bathroom is also very clean and of a nice size. It's a huge hotel but it wasn't noisy at all. AMMENITIES: wifi is free. The room has toiletries (even slippers!), hair dryer and cable with some English channels. Breakfast […] and dinner buffet are available. They are a bit expensive but at least the menus are in English which is hard to find in Russia. There's also a bar and some souvenir stores in the lobby. The Vega is part of the Izmailovo complex which used to be an olympic villa and in the complex there are other hotels, restaurants, souvenir stores, small grocery stores, and a pharmacy so everything you might need you will find in the complex. LOCATION: it's located right next to the Partizanskaya metro station (careful because in some maps the stop appears as Izmailovsky Park!) just 5 stops on the same blue line to the Red Square, Kremlin and Bolshoi stop. it was our second time in Moscow, we had stayed previously next to the Vega at the Delta building which is managed separately, and we returned to the site because we found it very convenient. Don't miss the market in Izmailovsky Park, after two visits to Moscow we found it to be the best place for souvenirs in terms of price and variety. Overall, it's a great place to stay, We'll return if we're back in Moscow. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay in Ismailovo"
This is a good hotel for the money. It's one in a complex of 5 hotels that was re-branded Best Western. There are many stores and shopping centers nearby and the hotel is only 5 stops on subway from the kremlin. FOr the kind of money I paid for this hotel I was impressed with the quality of the room, food, and the hotel overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything OK. Good location, close metro, acceptable price. Just the florr was not as used to be.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and clean place for stay in Moscow"
Very pleasant and clean hotel, with a nice atmosphere and staff. Very close to metro station. Maybe some prices are too high like breakfast (17 USD) or sauna (140 USD for 2 people 1 hour). Despite these inconveniences the hotel is worth recomendations to others and should be qualified into more than a 3 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great. Should be at least 4 star hotel"

"Good value for the money in Moscow."
I have been to Moscow many, many times and overall this was a very nice place to stay. The only problem we had was that I paid extra to book a room with a "large tub", However, the idea of a large tub at this hotel appears to be a small US size tub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel sold my room."
Best Western Vega sold my room; even though the room was paid for and guaranteed by Hotels.com. At 1:30 am (after 30 hours of travel) they took me to another hotel. Will I book there again? Are you kidding me?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value for reasonable price!"
Very close to subway, comfortable beds, clean room. Room is equipped with everything you need, i.e. air-conditioner, safety deposit box, refrigerator, flat screen TV, etc. Non-smoking floor. Great value. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine for the Metro"
Perfectly adequate hotel; nothing special but comfortable and clean. A short walk from the Metro and some OK restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for money"
It is a good place, but one of their restaurants really abuse the price of drinks, definitely one of the most expensive places to have a cognac, even more expensive than 5 star hotels in the city, near the red square.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Value Hotel in Moscow"
The Best Western Vega was a terrific find for me in Moscow. This a a quality hotel, very close to the Metro at a very affordable price. Service in this hotel is excellent, the rooms are well equipped and wifi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. The hotel also offers a buffett lunch each day @ 650RUB. Whether travelling for business or […] pleasure, I can recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Close to the metro, clean, good service, non-smoking restaurant upstairs!! We would definitely stay there again!! Excellent value for our money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recommended economy hotel"
Walking distance to the subway. There was a heat radiator that was overheating the room and that could not be turned off. I had to disable it by putting the spare blanket all over it. The good thing is the window could be opened so there was a way to keep the room reasonably cool in winter.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect location, excellent hotel"
This is a nice bright clean hotel with several restaurants and a bar open 24 hrs. Our room was small but perfect for our short sight-seeing weekend. Only ten minutes walk from the metro, which was a 15 min metro ride into the city centre. Also within walking distance from the hotel was the izmailovsky flea market - definitely worth a visit, but beware […] of the overpriced kebabs! Would definately stay here again. "Unexpectedly comfortable hotel with gym and wifi"
Looks a bit ominous from the outside, but inside the rooms as fine and comfortable. They have access to a massive gym, not just a small room like other hotels sell, that has everything. Short walk from Metro. Very well priced. Couple of improvements would be: - the lobby bar and cafe are not exactly smoke free zones. - the wifi is great when its working […] but I frequently found it didn't work. They do have free internet access on PC's next to the bar, but Skype doesn't work. - there isn't much to do locally, but the metro is close by. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to the metro! breakfast buffet was very good"
In general this was a clean, and very convenient hotel. the reception staff seemed to take forever to do anything. The Breakfast buffet was very good with a great selection of food. The other restaurants were good too.. being 2 minutes walk to the Metro there was no need to find a taxi to the city centre. and all the facilities were good too!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to transport"
Hotel is in a terrific location, close to transport and only 15 minutes to Red Square, excellent value for your money. We had no trouble taking train from airport to metro and then catching metro to the Hotel (download copy of metro system). The people at the information desk at the airport are also very helpful and speak excellent English. When you […] get out of the metro station the hotel is visible and a 5 minute walk. We did not order breakfast as there are lots of eating places around the hotel together with supermarkets. Red Square is amazing as is most of Moscow. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

All in all this was a pleasant stay although far away from everything except the metro. Breakfast is way to expensive and very crowded. Thus good value for a stricter budgetGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A mass market hotel"
2 experiences: 1, At VIP check-in counter, I was told only a smoking room (at the 24th floor) was available & they would change to a non-smoking one the next day. I agreed since it was evening and it had been a long train journey. The lady even parted with a "see you tomorrow". Next morning, she was not on duty. Another lady (at the normal reception […] counter) asked "who told you that?" & did not even check whether any non-smoking room was available. She just said check-out time is noon & asked me to come back later. That evening, after the usual tourist things, I found the lady who checked me in. Again no non-smoking room was available & I should come back in the morning. Since the hotel is far from the city center, it is not realistic to return mid-day to change rooms. If you cannot stand cigarette smoke, be very firm with your need for a non-smoking room if they offer you a smoking one "temporarily". It smell even after airing with opened window. Past reviewers had reported similar encounters. 2, The guest information folder said complimentary tea/coffee were available on certain floors & had info how to get to them. When my card key cannot access those floors, I called the front desk & was asked to go down for the card to be "fixed". But when I went down, they said the facility is for deluxe room guests only. Then why is everyone told it is complimentary complete with instructions how to get them & why was I asked to go down to the reception for the card to be "fixed"? "New name for hotel Smokers Heaven"
Through our the hotel it smelt like a smoke house in your room and dining rooms. Their english is very limited. We had to debit a nominated amount onto our credit card before we could use their dining rooms, balance left would be credit to our account 5 days after departure. The hotel is 1-1/2 hrs away from Airport and 3/4 hr away from central station. […] We were close to a good metro system took 1/2 hr to city, but no good for dragging suitcases around, no lifts. Meals very average quality but not a bad price about $20 for buffet breakfast. Suggestion pay more for accommodation and stay in the city for convenience. "Normal but noisy!"
The hotel in general for the price is ok, the problem is that I couldn't get a good sleep in 4 nights because of the noise from neighbouring units. I stayed there for seven nights from the 21st-28th of August 2013. My room was of a very high standard. There were three telephones, including one in the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and the quilt and pillows very soft. My linen was changed daily. The hotel and rooms are very clean. The housekeeping team do a very good job. I ordered […] room service on one occasion, and the food arrived very quickly, and was inexpensive. The food in the restaurant and cafés was also very good. I particularly recommend the lamb rack in the ground floor restaurant. It was excellent. The staff there were very attentive and friendly, and made the experience satisfying. The concierge was very friendly and helped me to find some cinemas. The hotel is located very conveniently next to Partizanskaya metro station; it's just 3-4 minutes' walk. an excellent service, friendly staff and a lovely hotel. like a little city in its own right. Nice and secure with multiple checkpoints to make sure that it was just guests entering the room floors. The only quirk that I would say they need to improve is the hot drinks facilities that they offered for guests. They provided free coffee and tea for all […] guests and these facilities were available on particular floors but you had to wait for someone with the floor keycard to let you in due to the security restrictions. We were on floor 18 and the tea/coffee room was on floor 17....which we had no access to. This was a quirk rather than an annoyance as there were plenty of other things to do also. "Great stay with restaurants around the corner"

"Good overall for couples"
Generally spacious clean hotel, good three restaurants,a bar and cafee, breakfast is very good and varied, location outside centre by around 15 miles, 20 min by metro (5 stations) but nearly one hour by taxi depending on traffic, will certainly recommend the metro, nearest station is 10 min walk, trains come frequently every 2-3 min, cheap and quicker […] in addition to enjoying the grandiose stations architecture. Rooms are average in size basically furnished, but bathroom is clean, good size and power shower. Price for the room and breakfast is very reasonable at sound £85 per room per night; expect to pay double for similar hotel near red square. Local area is a mixture of nice tidy shops and restaurants and industrial area. The main disadvantage is the staff support and helpfulness; mainly due to the language barrier; very few staff speak very little English!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was a good choice out of the hustle and bustle of Moscow, yet only a 15 to 20 minute Metro ride away from Red Square. Hotel facilities are good. The complimentary bottled water, free Wi-Fi, fridge in room, air-conditioning and access to the business centre were especially appreciated. Tea and coffee making rooms and ironing rooms on some floors. […] Hot and cold water dispensers on all floors. "Not a four star for me but ok"
Despite e mailing in Russian well before the trip asking for three rooms on the same floor this was not acted upon but was on file. Very disappointing for a very large hotel and chain. As room keys accessed the floor you were on it meant no access to friends rooms and for me, travelling alone in the lift with strangers to the 28th floor. Helpful concierge […] later said I could move the following day. My room wasn't cleaned that day so I assumed all ok but no. I was moved but had the option of a smoking room on floor below friends or a twin bed on floor above. I chose latter as less remote. No tea and coffee making facilities. Basic room with quiet fridge and free water.Air con noisy so switched off at night. Good bathroom (friends had shower only). A foyer bar / coffee bar; a corner bar with food and tv; breakfast for 990 rouble on first floor was ok. Juice is squash ugh. Good omlettes/ eggs made and plenty of other standard and local breakfast options. 5 minutes from metro and direct line into Red Sq. about twenty minutes . A few local shops, bars and eateries and right by the mock Kremilin and Ishmailov market. "Comfortable hotel in good location"
It was clean and we had no problems except they said they did not have a non-smoking room when we arrived. We persisted and one was found. "Reasonable Price for Moscow"
I have used Vega several times. It is close to the Partizanskaya metro which takes 15 minutes to the centre. "Not bad for Moscow"
Anywhere else you would be disappointed to pay this much for a three star but this is a Moscow three star does not pretend to be a four star! "Very convenient for commuting in Moscow"
The rooms are small, but clean. Heating and insulation are good, and this is important in Russia! There is free wifi in the rooms. It's a buffet breakfast, but the selection is not extraordinary. The hotel is approx. 100 m from the Partizanskaya metro station, which makes it very conveniently located. The official taxi takes you to the hotel for 2000 RUB from Domodedovo airport, which is not bad for the 60 km ride. But you can get to the hotel by the Aeroexpress trains and the metro as well.
