It was a very pleasant stay...the hotelbis very attractive to the eye...the personnel could not be more professional and helpful...the price is right for the quality of this hotel....personal experience: had a reaction to something I ate and my tongue swelled up...at about 3:00 am I went to the reception desk to ask for medical help, in about 10 minutes, […] maybe less, a doctor and his assistant came to treat me and a few hours later my tongue was back to normal....excellent doctor and assitant...knowledgeable and professional...the prescribed medication was called into a pharmacy and minutes later it was delivered to my room...I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Medellin. The pillows in the room were too hard. Also, no coffee making machines in rooms even though there is a mini-bar. Service excellent and rooms spotless. Location of the hotel can't be better. Very close to Poblado restaurants and clubs for night-life and walking distance from malls and shopping centers.

great value for what we paid, I'd definitely go again, we even had breakfast and dinner included in the rate, can't complain at all. They only thing is that we have to pay an extra fee at checkout that wasn't mentioned anywhere else, about $20 IVA

Estelar hotels claim to be the best in Medellin and they certainly live up to the reputation. My standard is worldwide Marriott, and I am happy with this. I also previously stayed at Estelar Milla de Oro - both that and the Blue are both of very high standard - Clean, New, Modern, Spacious. Wi-Fi works which is very important for me. Breakfast included […] - such a good way to start the day I wouldn't even consider a hotel without breakfast, esp. if you don't know the city v well. To my pleasant surprise when I checked in, they told me dinner is also included! Altho it's a sandwich, salad type buffet (no glamorous wine and dine) but at times of laziness and hunger it's precious! I found it v healthy, & actually tasty! Ate dinner there 3 out of 5 nights. The rest of course I had to venture to classy restaurants in town. Location is central (Poblado, which is where most tourist hotels are at) yet quiet. Minutes from Parque Lleras. Very secure, they call the taxis for you at reception, and visitors need to be registered to even get into the lift. I had to ask for an iron on Day1, but I stayed with it for the entire stay. They even have ironing service and sewing service (at small cost) but the lady who comes to pick that up had a funny attitude. Walk in shower is one of the biggest I have seen. First they gave me a room with 2 beds as the hotel was full. 2 days later I asked to transfer to a one larger bed, not a problem at all. Rate of USD80-110. Go for Estelar you won't regret. Read more

I stayed 4 nights in Nov., 2011 I stayed four nights in Nov., 2011 in Estelar Blue in the El Poblado section of Medellin and could not have been more pleased with the experience. I had called the hotel directly from the US prior to leaving to arrange a ride to the hotel, and the driver was there waiting when I arrived and was holding a sign with my […] name on it so I found him easily. And I arranged a return trip with no problem and the prices were reasonable. The hotel is very clean, the room was very nice, the staff was sharp, well-dressed, well-groomed and very helpful. I know that two of them spoke English, maybe more. Two meals were included with the room and the food was good. The hair dryer in the room did not work and did not get replaced while I was there, but that is a minor thing. The hotel was quiet and located in a nice area within walking distance of a HUGE gleaming mall with more shops than I have ever seen in a mall. ATMs and restaurants were within about five or six blocks, plus friendly taxi drivers are always available at the hotel. We hired Guillermo to take us on tours to Quetape one day and then to Santa Fe the next, both places were worth the visit, especially when you consider the views of the countryside you get along the way. I recommend this hotel for people with disabilities, accessible shower but it did not have a hand held shower head and It had a 6 in curb in front of the shower but I managed to get over the curb, memory foam mattress, accessible sink, but the room was hard to move around in with my electric wheelchear but overall it served its purpose.

I was especially surprised by the level of the service given what I paid for the room (a lot below what I would expecty to pay for a 5-star hotel). What made me really satisfied was that the special girl who was also there with me liked the hotel and was satisfied with it. The room was very clean, what I exceptionally value was the ability to take a long hot shower, if you are coming from a dirty place or taking a really long travel (in my case 2 days), you definitely know that a long hot shower is the best thing to relax.
