Took a trip to Osaka to view the city. The Castle is just around the corner, and the great getaway for food is just 10 minutes by taxi. Couldn't have asked for a better location... although parking for car was free, it was extremely difficult to park a larger vehicle. Staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. I thought the room would be bigger, but it was just slightly a few feet larger than the queen sized bed that was in it. It was good, comfortable, and the temperature was just perfect. There were absolutely no views from the side of the building I was in, except the hospital next to it about 100 feet away though. I would definately stay there again, regardless. It was a good night of sleep, with the basics I needed: Bed (check), toilet (check), hot and cold water (check), shower and tub (check), TV (check)... with extra's too, hair dryer, and complimentary toiletries to clean.

This is a capsule hotel. The room is sized as such. Also, all capsule hotels follow a set style: A public bath for showering (very common in Japan), a room for lounging, a separate for eating, a locker room to store your things/ change, and of course, your tiny capsule to sleep in. I have stayed at a few capsule hotels in my time and this is a good one. The place is clean and conveniently located in Namba where the social life is. It also offers a capsule hotel service for women which is uncommon for capsule hotels in Japan. It is not the best capsule hotel I have been in but it is a good one.

I have to admit that this hotel was super clean, and was in a great location - a short walking distance from the Universal City subway station, Universal City Walk, and Universal Studios Japan. Honestly, my only complaint was that they had no room service and very little western food being served as a-la-carte. If you love Japanese food, than this won't be a problem for you. Fortunately, I was able to walk to the nearby Hard Rock Cafe to get some western food (hamburgers, chicken wings, french fries, etc.)

Food street is in a walking distance. A decent hotel with comfort environment, clean and spacious. Remember not to book the lowest grade room which may be small. Hotel service is good with free wifi.

I was pretty disappointed with the actual stay compared to the raving reviews from hotels.com and Trip Advisor. Pros: Near to Namba Nankai subway (for Kansai Airport), cheap price/day for a double room, free usage of shampoo bar/rental of bicycles/drink dispenser/comic books, many eateries around the area, located near a 5-storey DAISO. Cons: Far from […] the main subways (Kintetsu/Hankyu/JR) about 15-20 mins walk, Shinsaibashi/Dontonburi about 20 mins walk, room service is incomplete (does not help you to wash used cups). If you are bringing the young and old, the walking distance after a day of full shopping can dampen your mood. Too much walking strained your legs. The hotel and the room we stayed is great with reasonable size, if not large. There are larger rooms elsewhere in the area but I won't complain with the price we paid. Very clean and modern hotel, small & compact rooms but everything was neatly placed. Not having proper cloth rack or cupboard was a disappointment but many other features outweighed that shortfall. Location was excellent and having a convenience store near by (almost next to the entrance of the hotel) was very handy. "5 Min Walk Away from Dotomburi & Shinsaibashi!"
Our hotel is located pretty much in 'den den town' which sells electronics. The location is about 20 Min straight walk to the main eating & shopping area Dotomburi & Shinsaibashi- but we caught a cab instead (about 680Y) Its also 10min walk to the local Subway (nearer than the JR subway) hotel lobby have free drinks like soda machine. Under the hotel, […] there is Anna's Coffee (like a Starbucks) & 7/11 where you can withdraw cash. Across the hotel, there is 24 hr McDonalds who can be very convenient for those who finished a night out drinking & need a snack for the hotel. The room provides you with all that you need toiletry wise & there is a couch in the room big enough for a 3rd person to sleep on or to put 2 x 20KG luggages. the room is slightly larger than normal compared to the other shoeboxes we stayed in Japan (which is the norm in Japan) The downside of this hotel, reception did not have a phone we can borrow to make a local call, they directed us to a payphone which was outside of the hotel. They don't have plug converters to lend us like other hotels, So we had to buy some converters in the electronic shops up the road & it was hard to explain to them what we wanted because hardly anybody esp in Osaka speaks English. We could not use the phones in our rooms either, it was just to call reception. So that bit was really inconvenient because there are HARDLY any payphones around in Japan in general. I gave this a standard ok in all categories. If you want a clean but basic room in Osaka, then this is fine. Good location, just 5 mins walk to station and the area was fairly quiet and decent but the room was very small though. We had 3 in the family room, no wardrobe, so we had to manoevre round the suitcases.
