I had to make a very short trip (2 days) to Marseilles from San Francisco and needed a place to assure me of good sleep, access to WiFi, and a good breakfast. The Palm Beach which is right on the water provided all of these plus a very relaxing resort-like atmosphere. The hotels only drawback is its location - well outside the city center. I am sure this is not a problem for the bulk of its European clientele but it is a drawback for those of us who love to walk and explore the city.

Great hotel. Staff was amazing. There was an unusual, unpleasant odor on the ground floor. Internet was pretty spotty. But the great service outweighed those issues.

The Hotel Belle Vue has a perfect location right on the old port. Each room as at least a small view of the port and Notre Dame de la Guarde. Easy access to sights and trains. The room was no larger than a postage stamp but it was wonderfully adventurous and quaint. Great for a getaway. Courteous and friendly staff. Lots of nearby restaurants.

Spent a little extra money on this hotel but was glad I did. Staff were awesome, especially the guy with the girlfriend in Paris. Thanks for all your help! Only problem we had was a stuck valve on shower, but we didn't even complain about it because we were having such a good time.

The hotel staff were very helpful and anxious to please,even telephoning me from France beforehand to check on my email address to send me details.When... I wanted to open a bottle of wine they brought a corkscrew to my room .They were genuinely friendly and did everything possible to make my stay as pleasant as possible.The room was clean and well furnished with a fridge and microwave.There were guides and maps of the city provided.Apart from the usual soap, shampoo, shower gel there were even bathroom slippers! The rooms on my side all had balconies overlooking a large enclosed garden courtyard. All in all everything you could want at a reasonable price.Highly recommended. by a Hotels.com guest on 10/05/11

Terribel service!!! We arrived in the late evening and the reception was closed and noone answered the phone. We could not get any keys for the rooms and had to spend the night in another hotel, without economic compensation! Students living in this residence also witness about very rude staff and total lack of service so DON´T BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

Vi är nöjda med våran vistelse. Nära till centrum och hotellet i helhet var okej. Lite missnöjda med ankomsten då vi inte hade fått någon information om rummet eller portkod etc. Vi kom sent på kvällen men hade ringt och meddelat om sen ankomst. Standarden på rummet helt okej för en kortare vistelse.

Da vi ankom hotellet ved 20.30 tiden var resepsjonen stengt og det var bare telefonsvarer pe angitte telefonnumrene. Vi fant rommet vårt som stod åpent med nøkkelen liggende på rommet. Det burde vært informert om dette på forhånd. Det blir ikke vaket eller skiftet sengeklær og håndklær uten at man ber om det og betaler ekstra for det. Sengen var en […] ok liggesofa. ikke allverdens, med det gikk greit den uken vi var der. Kjøkkenet var ikke særlig tess. Det tok 45 min. å koke en gryte pasta. Men kjøleskap og litt kjøkkenutsyr gjør alikevel at man kan lage måltider hjemme. Leiligheten/ rommet var utrolig varmt og innestengt., selv om det hadde en liten terrasse og en stor vifte. Vi sov relativt dårlig flere netter. Pluss for bra pris og relativt sentral beliggenhet. Read more
