"Nice hotel near the city center."
Very nice and clean hotel. Some problems with the elevators.Genuine Expedia guest review
"New extremely functional hotel"
Located within walking distance of the Copenhagen Central station. The room was small, but fully functional and everything appeared to be new or extremely well maintained. The internet connection was lightning fast and the bed was extremely comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Hotel in Good Location"
I stayed in a room on the 7th floor. The room was clean comfortable and the breakfast was good. It is close to the train station so it's not too far from downtown. I have no complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Welcome to the machine"
The main drawback of this hotel is that it makes you (or at least me) feel like part of a high quality, well functioning machine. Everything works and is in place to assure that no human intervention is required. But if you like a bit of human intervention while traveling that can become somewhat irritating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everything you need for a stay in Copenhagen"
Although my room was small (like a cabin on a ship), I never felt cramped or uncomfortable during a four night stay in Copenhagen. My room was clean and I had everything I needed to make my stay productive (free wi-fi, a usable desk with several outlets to plug in equipment, and air-conditioning). To top it off, the hotel is within walking distance […] of the central train/bus station making it exceptionally easy to get around the city. For someone traveling on a budget or just tired of paying for lots of amenities they don't want or need, the Wakeup Hotel is certainly worth considering when visiting Copenhagen. "Cool, affordable designer comfort"
The exact opposite of a cozy family hotel. No frills, just clean, minimalist design with lots of glass, stainless steel and dark wood. Rooms are comfortable enough but tiny; to open the window you have to kneel on the bed. In the round glass-enclosed shower stall, the only thing missing is Scotty to beam you up. Very modern, with free WiFi but no telephones. […] Friendly and helpful staff. Located in a bland (minimalist?) pocket south of the Central Station; 8 min. walk or 3 bus stops from the station, with the 11A bus going on right into town. At night, the faint rumbling of trains from the near station ease you into sleep, and the coloured fairy lights of the Tivoli Congress Center opposite add a magic touch. "Rather central, priceworthy"
Very nice and modern hotel, with good service. We found bicycles very practical, we brought our own, but rental at the hotel is possible. Room(sky) small but fancy; we had wished a little more privacy when visiting the bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Tivoli"
WakeUp Copenhagen has small but clean rooms. The A/C didn't seem to work so our room got stuffy. Very close the the main train station and Tivoli. We didn't have their breakfast for an additional $10, instead we had scrumptous danishes at Anderson Bakery right outside Tivoli. Wi Fi was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, clean hotel, good location."
Good location, and the hotel seemed to be quite new. Price was reasonable. Room was small but well-designed. Everything seemed very clean. Beds were comfortable, the view was great (we paid a little extra to be on the top floor). It was nice and quiet. Unfortunately we did not try the breakfast buffet, so no review here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small super clean rooms"
goodrooms good stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After entering the room, we did not see towels and linien for 2 people. One side of the bed touched the wall under the window. I thought we were in a one person room by mistake. I went to reception to complain, and was informed that all rooms were equal and the towels and linien were in the drawer under the bed. And they were indeed! The room is a wonder […] minimalist design, nothing superfluous. There is no minibar, for a beer go downstairs and buy one at the reception. Excepting for the size it was all clean and new, including a good flat screen TV. It is fine for one person and no luggage, but not for a couple travelling for 20 days. There are bycicles that can be rented. It is useful because Copenhagen is flat and people really use bikes there. But have a good rain coat available! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Even better than the great reviews"
Copenhagen is quite costly. Wake Up was not only inexpensive but also a joy in which to stay. The clever design packs many amenities into a small size. While the bathroom is tiny, the shower is elegant and works splendidly. The storage under the bed is the only thing resting on the floor; everything else is above the immaculate floor. We passed up the […] breakfast in favor of a great bakery next to the tourist office( about a 12 minute walk). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, modern and good value for money"
A simple, no-frills hotel, but very clean, comfortable and efficiently organized, only 10 min walk from Copenhagen central train station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for single traveler"
I selected this hotel from hotels.com based on the photos and proximity to the central station. although it is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel from the station, it is not very scenic and quiet dark and removed from the central city traffic. there are also NO amenities (ie coffee shops, stores, etc) anywhere near the hotel so don't expect to step outside […] and grab a coffee. the hotel is fantastic however once you arrive. it was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a single traveler like myself. amenities are great, free wifi, comfy bed, cool new bathroom/shower, great lobby where i was able to hold one of my meetings. highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you seek comfort and cleanliness. it does not feel like 1 million people have stayed there before you. "Good for 1 night stays"
Rooms are super small, but nice. Very clean. If you need space, this isn't the hotel for you. That being said, it was really nice. Modern style room with glass fish bowl shower. I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Inexpensive boutique hotel, poor cleanliness, loca"
The hotel itself is well designed in keeping with Scandi decor and the room itself was basic but modern. However, ipon check in, I saw fine hairs on the duvet cover, including a fine, blond pubic hair which was not obvious on the white sheets unless you looked closely. Management sent someone straight away to inspect my claims and then subsequently […] change the sheets. The woman they sent to check my claims admitted that they typically change the bedding every three days given the size of the hotel. When I said that I was a new guest and inquired about basic expectations of clean sheets for all new guests, she then said that they had problems with their laundry service. It felt like a lot of excuses for corner cutting, in hopes that I wouldn't notice. The location of the hotel is also quite far away from central Copenhagen (20 min walk) and the rates for their daily bicycle rentals were much, much higher than in the city center. I was disappointed with my stay and would opt for a different hotel on my next visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Another great value from Hotels.com. It was not a big surprise based on the reviews I had read, but the helpful staff and ultra modern hotel made this a great stay. There was a very neat setup for using their computers and internet. The small room was only an inconvenience in that it was a little hard for the person on the far side of the bed to get […] out without crawling over the person on the near side. Hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was more of a continental meal....no cereal, eggs. That was fine, Location was good., Very close to the train station and "Tivoli", Also not too far to "Storget" street. Pedestrian shopping. Rooms are small, but clean and modern. The blankets are great. They were individual (like down comforters).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stuffy and small"
My parents and I spent 2 nights in Copenhagen in this hotel. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the central train station so although not close, its not bad. The room was small and the air conditioning did not work sufficiently to cool down the room. We had to open the window which overlooked a very loud train intersection. Without earplugs, our room […] would be nearly impossible to sleep in with the window open. Shower/bathroom was good however buffet breakfast for 70 DKK seems expensive for the few items to select from. Having said that, the convenience can't be beat for a quick breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for low cost, and modern hotel, this fits the bill however if you are wanting to hang out in your room, this is not much more than a small room with a bed, bathroom and tv. Not much room to relax. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quite a walk from the main attractions."

It was too far from transport. We are seniors and we had to walk everywhere. It was a 20 Minute walk to get anywhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is located just 5 minutes walking to Central railway station/Tivoli. You can get to all sight seeings by foot. Room is not big, but very modest and clean, just everything you need for your stay. The only thing that was a bit irritating is that even check out is till 11, hotel staff starts checking if you left or not already around 9 by knocking […] your door pretty aggressively. Modern and efficient hotel. Cleverly designed rooms, Reasonable value for money compared to other available accommodation in Copenhagen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, weird stairs"
The hotel is a walking distance from the central station, modern, has all basic amenities, including a locker room. There is transportation from the central station to all attractions of the city. The breakfast includes good cheese, one of those soft ones, maybe a goat cheese. The stairs at the entrance are weird: with so many guests coming and going, […] how can you have steep stairs without a path for suitcases? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay place to stay"
I stayed here for 3 nights and chose it based on the price. It was cheap for Copenhagen but you soon realize that you get what you are paying for. The hotel and rooms are very clean and modern. The room was a bit small but fine for one person, although the pillows left a bit to be desired. There is a sign in the bathroom about being responsible for […] the environment and not having fresh towels everyday but then they give you a Styrofoam cup and packets of shampoo/body wash. The cost of the breakfast is ridiculous for what you get. I have been living/traveling in Scandinavia for 6 months and am familiar with the standards, but this was VERY basic. The cheese came in individually wrapped packets, the bread was clearly not fresh and everything seemed to be processed or in packets/pre-packaged. Save some money and get some breakfast supplies in one of the shops in the train station. It is very close to the train station and the 5A bus from the airport drops you off about 2 blocks away. Everything is about a 15-20 minute walk, and there is public transport close by. There is nothing close by in terms of services, restaurants, shops. I had an okay stay, but in the future I would definitely pay the extra money for an actual hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Further away from train station than expected"
The hotel was further away from the train station than expected as a detour had to be made around the railway tracks. Hotel room was small but clean. It costs 20 DKK to rent a locker to keep your luggage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely little hotel!"
I was travelling alone and this hotel was perfect for me. Clean, functional rooms, free wifi...everything I needed. I would imagine it would be a little cramped if you're sharing a room though. The location was great, quick walk to station and tivoli plus perfect for the foodie meat packing District. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had breakfast […] on one morning and it was as I would have existed, meat, cheese, fruit, cereals, eggs, tea and coffee etc. I would definitely recommend to anyone, especially a day single occupant. "Convenient location, but not great customer service"
The hotel itself was modern and clean. The room and bathroom were both small, but provided enough space as required. The TV was poorly angled so that you couldn't see the TV from the bed (not that we watched much TV, but the chairs that had better views were not comfortable for more than a short time). The biggest problem I had with this hotel was that […] extra blankets and pillows were not available (Only 1 pillow and 1 comforter is provided per person in the hotel room, no extras are allowed). As a side sleeper who requires two pillows to get a good nights sleep, I slept very poorly and feel that this is a hotel policy that should be changed. I book a hotel to sleep, and if I can't do that, what's the point in staying in that hotel? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Should be a better choice after construction"
Because of the neighboring construction of the "New" Tivoli hotel and Congress Center, the hotel is difficult to get to via the 11A bus, as the close-in bus stop has been closed. Although the hotel is right across the tracks from the Copenhagen Main Station, the rooms are superbly soundproofed. There is no restaurant, except for the breakfast room. […] Breakfast is inexpensive, but lacks anything hot, except some hard boiled eggs. If a modified continental breakfast is satisfactory, this is very acceptable. Everything is "prepaid", which means that you cannot charge on your room. Beware that as with most hotels in Denmark, you will be assessed an additional charge when paying for your room or anything else with any other credit card than the DK (Danish Kard) credit card. The staff is pleasant, friendly, and helpful. My room was OK, but the bath fixtures were never cleaned daily, although the place was spotless upon arrival and I was there for three nights. All told, this was a good place to stay in terms of location, once you negotiate the very long walk to where you can get to the main street and/or rail station. This will be resolved after the aforementioned construction opens up the bus stop in the next 12-18 months. Not a real bargain, but an OK place to stay. In that sense, the location is very good, and you will find everyone happy to help you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good budget hotel"
The hotel is located just few minutes walk from Copenhagen central station, the rooms are cosy, but to crash after a long day sight seeing we did not need much more than a bed, shower and TV. for a business trip or a weekend stay over. Not a family hotel. Clean, new and with the facilities you need and use - ex free wifi. "Small tidy hotel is ok to stay for one day"
Generally speaking the hotel is clean, tidy and comfort. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are only two things stop me from giving this hotel a higher score: the hotel room is not sound prove. You can hear clearly what the people in the other room are talking about and it is not nice to be woke up by the alarm in the other room at 5:30 in the […] morning. My best advice is to take a pair of earphones with you. Secondly, the breakfast which costs only 70dkk, is ok but very simple. It gives no feeling of enjoyment but a quick feed then go. I believe this hotel is better for business people, not family or tourists. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
