"Nice hotel. Minimum facilities."
Its a nice and clean budget hotel - but don't expect anything more. I felt it was overpriced like most things in Copenhagen. My standard size room was smallish (which I believe is typical for Copenhagen hotels) and the service was minimal. For example, my bath towels were not changed. They did clean up the room properly though. And the worst part -- […] food. You pay 70+ krones for breakfast (which is normally free at most hotels in Copenhagen). If you are a vegetarian, all you get is bread and jam. Drinks and sandwiches available on the hotel front desk are heavily overpriced. (A beer, coffee for $5+). They were completely booked though so they must be doing something right. May be the other hotels nearby are even worse. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Practical and Comfortable Stay"
Spent 3 nights in Wakeup Copenhagen in June 2013. Although 2 stars, the hotel had pretty much all the basics you need (probably deserved 3.5 stars and definitely better than most 3 star hotels I've stayed in) Decent sized rooms, clean, practical. It's about 5-10 min quiet walk from Tivoli. Only watch out is the bathroom - it's frosted glass so maybe […] slightly uncomfortable if you are not travelling with someone you are familiar with. My husband and I stayed in this hotel one night before a cruise. The room was small and basic. No telephone in the room - there was one near the elevator. There were no facecloths supplied in the bathroom. The breakfast, at an extra cost, was fine. We asked the staff to call us a cab to take us to the ship and our driver was there quickly. It is about […] 2 blocks from Tivoli Gardens, an easy walk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very clean; but no fridge and no save box"
When we booked this hotel, the price is included "Breakfast". But when we check in, the hotel manager said our room price is not included Breakfast. That is one reason disappointed with the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mod, cute, excellent staff"
I got a kick out of staying here. No frills, but that's what you come here for. Nevertheless, quite comfortable, though there was some odor in the room, coming I think from the shower drain. It wasn't overpowering though. Excellent for people who are using public transit: within easy walking distance to the central train station; also, lockers in the […] basement (20 Dkr) if you need to stow your stuff before your room is available. I needed a taxi to the airport at 4:30am and the staff were up and happy to help me at that early hour. Excellent signal on the free wifi. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Compact, Even by European Standards"
Very small room, even though it was supposedly an upgrade. We arrived early and they said they could get us in early if we paid for an upgrade at a minimal cost. What we really got was the same room but on the top floor with a view - of the railroad tracks. They said all the information we needed was in a "welcome packet" in the room, which turned out […] to be a card with some very basic information. It said there were extra pillows and blankets in the drawer under the bed, but there wasn't. There are no phones in the room, so after we went out we stopped at the front desk and they said there was only one pillow per person. We had 2 suitcases and there was nowhere to put them except on the floor. There's no closet - just 4 hangers on a wall. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and cozy"
Nice hotel, clean and minimalistic. Okay room sizes. Comfortable bed. Good room layout. Good standard for rate charged.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great value"
I was very happy with my stay at Wakeup Copenhagen. The rooms are small but comfortable; you may have problems if you're a large person or if you have a lot of luggage. The wireless Internet access was free and fast. Everything was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was right. I would happily stay there again. It's a moderate […] walk from the train station, which can be difficult if you've got a lot to carry and don't feel like booking a taxi for a two-minute ride. There's not a lot in the immediate area; if you want a quick meal, you'll end up walking back toward the central train station area, or hop on the 11A train, which stops right across the street. "Excellent for singles or couples"
Simple, clean and modern. We wanted to be central and found this hotel. While it is clean and simple, it is on the outskirts on the city proper.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice place....convenient too. I would stay again for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty good hotel for Family"
Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We were a family of 5 and it was a very clean hotel which is what we were looking for in our reservation. The end of the bed was very close to the wall and allowed you very little space to get out of the bed from the bottom of the bed. It was in a great location and you could walk to Tivoli Gardens within […] 5 minutes. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very nice and clean hotel. Some problems with the elevators.Genuine Expedia guest review
"New extremely functional hotel"
Located within walking distance of the Copenhagen Central station. The room was small, but fully functional and everything appeared to be new or extremely well maintained. The internet connection was lightning fast and the bed was extremely comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Hotel in Good Location"
I stayed in a room on the 7th floor. The room was clean comfortable and the breakfast was good. It is close to the train station so it's not too far from downtown. I have no complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Welcome to the machine"
The main drawback of this hotel is that it makes you (or at least me) feel like part of a high quality, well functioning machine. Everything works and is in place to assure that no human intervention is required. But if you like a bit of human intervention while traveling that can become somewhat irritating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everything you need for a stay in Copenhagen"
Although my room was small (like a cabin on a ship), I never felt cramped or uncomfortable during a four night stay in Copenhagen. My room was clean and I had everything I needed to make my stay productive (free wi-fi, a usable desk with several outlets to plug in equipment, and air-conditioning). To top it off, the hotel is within walking distance […] of the central train/bus station making it exceptionally easy to get around the city. For someone traveling on a budget or just tired of paying for lots of amenities they don't want or need, the Wakeup Hotel is certainly worth considering when visiting Copenhagen. "Cool, affordable designer comfort"
The exact opposite of a cozy family hotel. No frills, just clean, minimalist design with lots of glass, stainless steel and dark wood. Rooms are comfortable enough but tiny; to open the window you have to kneel on the bed. In the round glass-enclosed shower stall, the only thing missing is Scotty to beam you up. Very modern, with free WiFi but no telephones. […] Friendly and helpful staff. Located in a bland (minimalist?) pocket south of the Central Station; 8 min. walk or 3 bus stops from the station, with the 11A bus going on right into town. At night, the faint rumbling of trains from the near station ease you into sleep, and the coloured fairy lights of the Tivoli Congress Center opposite add a magic touch. "Rather central, priceworthy"
Very nice and modern hotel, with good service. We found bicycles very practical, we brought our own, but rental at the hotel is possible. Room(sky) small but fancy; we had wished a little more privacy when visiting the bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Tivoli"
WakeUp Copenhagen has small but clean rooms. The A/C didn't seem to work so our room got stuffy. Very close the the main train station and Tivoli. We didn't have their breakfast for an additional $10, instead we had scrumptous danishes at Anderson Bakery right outside Tivoli. Wi Fi was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, clean hotel, good location."
Good location, and the hotel seemed to be quite new. Price was reasonable. Room was small but well-designed. Everything seemed very clean. Beds were comfortable, the view was great (we paid a little extra to be on the top floor). It was nice and quiet. Unfortunately we did not try the breakfast buffet, so no review here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small super clean rooms"
goodrooms good stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After entering the room, we did not see towels and linien for 2 people. One side of the bed touched the wall under the window. I thought we were in a one person room by mistake. I went to reception to complain, and was informed that all rooms were equal and the towels and linien were in the drawer under the bed. And they were indeed! The room is a wonder […] minimalist design, nothing superfluous. There is no minibar, for a beer go downstairs and buy one at the reception. Excepting for the size it was all clean and new, including a good flat screen TV. It is fine for one person and no luggage, but not for a couple travelling for 20 days. There are bycicles that can be rented. It is useful because Copenhagen is flat and people really use bikes there. But have a good rain coat available! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Even better than the great reviews"
Copenhagen is quite costly. Wake Up was not only inexpensive but also a joy in which to stay. The clever design packs many amenities into a small size. While the bathroom is tiny, the shower is elegant and works splendidly. The storage under the bed is the only thing resting on the floor; everything else is above the immaculate floor. We passed up the […] breakfast in favor of a great bakery next to the tourist office( about a 12 minute walk). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A simple, no-frills hotel, but very clean, comfortable and efficiently organized, only 10 min walk from Copenhagen central train station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for single traveler"
I selected this hotel from hotels.com based on the photos and proximity to the central station. although it is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel from the station, it is not very scenic and quiet dark and removed from the central city traffic. there are also NO amenities (ie coffee shops, stores, etc) anywhere near the hotel so don't expect to step outside […] and grab a coffee. the hotel is fantastic however once you arrive. it was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a single traveler like myself. amenities are great, free wifi, comfy bed, cool new bathroom/shower, great lobby where i was able to hold one of my meetings. highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you seek comfort and cleanliness. it does not feel like 1 million people have stayed there before you. "Inexpensive boutique hotel, poor cleanliness, loca"
The hotel itself is well designed in keeping with Scandi decor and the room itself was basic but modern. However, ipon check in, I saw fine hairs on the duvet cover, including a fine, blond pubic hair which was not obvious on the white sheets unless you looked closely. Management sent someone straight away to inspect my claims and then subsequently […] change the sheets. The woman they sent to check my claims admitted that they typically change the bedding every three days given the size of the hotel. When I said that I was a new guest and inquired about basic expectations of clean sheets for all new guests, she then said that they had problems with their laundry service. It felt like a lot of excuses for corner cutting, in hopes that I wouldn't notice. The location of the hotel is also quite far away from central Copenhagen (20 min walk) and the rates for their daily bicycle rentals were much, much higher than in the city center. I was disappointed with my stay and would opt for a different hotel on my next visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Another great value from Hotels.com. It was not a big surprise based on the reviews I had read, but the helpful staff and ultra modern hotel made this a great stay. There was a very neat setup for using their computers and internet. "King size bed for a simgle room was appreciated"
It is a bit of a schlep to the hotel from the Main Station in the City but not really an inconvenience. The rooms are small but the way itis designed does make it feel a little larger. "Fantastic value for money"
This hotel is a great value for the price in an expensive city - clean, comfortable, and easily accessible to downtown and the train station; we easily walked everywhere we needed to go. "Stuffy and small"
My parents and I spent 2 nights in Copenhagen in this hotel. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the central train station so although not close, its not bad. The room was small and the air conditioning did not work sufficiently to cool down the room. We had to open the window which overlooked a very loud train intersection. Without earplugs, our room […] would be nearly impossible to sleep in with the window open. Shower/bathroom was good however buffet breakfast for 70 DKK seems expensive for the few items to select from. Having said that, the convenience can't be beat for a quick breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for low cost, and modern hotel, this fits the bill however if you are wanting to hang out in your room, this is not much more than a small room with a bed, bathroom and tv. Not much room to relax. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel is located just 5 minutes walking to Central railway station/Tivoli. You can get to all sight seeings by foot. "Good hotel, weird stairs"
The hotel is a walking distance from the central station, modern, has all basic amenities, including a locker room. There is transportation from the central station to all attractions of the city. The breakfast includes good cheese, one of those soft ones, maybe a goat cheese. The stairs at the entrance are weird: with so many guests coming and going, […] how can you have steep stairs without a path for suitcases? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay place to stay"
I stayed here for 3 nights and chose it based on the price. It was cheap for Copenhagen but you soon realize that you get what you are paying for. The hotel and rooms are very clean and modern. The room was a bit small but fine for one person, although the pillows left a bit to be desired. There is a sign in the bathroom about being responsible for […] the environment and not having fresh towels everyday but then they give you a Styrofoam cup and packets of shampoo/body wash. The cost of the breakfast is ridiculous for what you get. I have been living/traveling in Scandinavia for 6 months and am familiar with the standards, but this was VERY basic. The cheese came in individually wrapped packets, the bread was clearly not fresh and everything seemed to be processed or in packets/pre-packaged. Save some money and get some breakfast supplies in one of the shops in the train station. It is very close to the train station and the 5A bus from the airport drops you off about 2 blocks away. Everything is about a 15-20 minute walk, and there is public transport close by. There is nothing close by in terms of services, restaurants, shops. I had an okay stay, but in the future I would definitely pay the extra money for an actual hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
