It was overpriced for the accomdation, especially after Labor Day and before ski season. My room was small with nothing special. I did see, upon checkout, that 2 of the rooms across the hall from me were very large with a lot of "heritage" furniture that seemed reminicent of another time - quaint.

We were happy when we booked this hotel because it was so close to the Meadowbrook arena. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the road, which was fine because it was very quiet. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. Pretty sure they were new. However, the sheets were not. On the end of the dust ruffle there was a hole. Though clean & vacuumed, […] the rug needs to be replaced. The bathroom was ok. There were some water stains on the wall where the towel rack was. The toothbrush tray over sink was weathered but clean. Excellent choices for the breakfast buffet. Cereals, breads, muffins, fruits, yogurt, milks, drinks... Continental style but what a variety!! It was an old fashioned, quirky place. The staff was nice and it had a continental breakfast with a nice range of breakfast foods. The bed was hard but the room was clean. There was a nice pool, porch, and a view from the back. The best part was the location- 3 minutes from the mountain!! Perfect for a ski weekend.

Love the hotel, but the restaurant could use some significant improvement!;;There is a piano at the facility, yet knowone is playing it during dinner... the meals take way too long to reach the guests... waitstaff is very inexperienced... other than that the stay is very comfortable!

The extremely loud bathroom fan, which automatically runs with the light switch on made any bathroom activity (toilet, showering, applying makeup, brushing teeth, etc.) very uncomfortable for the person in there as well as for the other person still in bed. I specially asked for a VERY QUIET room. They gave me a room next to rooms occupied by a team of teenagers, who were running, talking and laughing in the hallway till 3 am. I spent the worst sleepless night in my life in this hotel!

It would be impossible to complain about the kind people who oversee the Gunstock Inn. But the expectations need to be established need to clear from the beginning that this property needs a facelift. Old carpeting and dark furniture produce a musty smell to the air. While the room was certainly spacious, and the little balcony off the back to see the […] mountain view was very special indeed, the screen door was sticky and icky and the noise from all the guests in the main living room made it impossible to have a quiet evening. There was a drip in our toilet that we couldn't figure out how to fix so we slept with ear-plugs. And continental breakfast had everything one would need, but was awkward for the guests because we were opening huge Costco boxes of cereal ourselves - maybe best if smaller portions offered in a canister that is later refilled? Same with the 5 huge loaves of bread - perhaps an assortment bread tray first? Any complaints are only based on what people are used to receiving from an Inn these days. My kids and I loved this hotel. Our room was a little small but it was perfect for one night. The people were VERY friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the pool closed at 8pm. We would definitely stay again!

This looked like a quaint, well-kept inn. It's actually an old motel with tiny rooms that need updating. No closet, no hairdryer, depressing pool area. OK if you're just passing through, definitely not a destination or vacation place.

This is a nice change from the chain hotels. It's an older building and kind of feels like your going to grandma's house. Nothing fancy but the hospitality is awesome and the attached bar and restaurant is nice and friendly. We stayed during Laconia bike week and they allowed us to wash the Harley out front. It kind of has a B&B feel to it.

Great stay. Very nice staff. Didn't get to try the attached restaurant. Morning brunch was plentiful and free. Lovely indoor pool. The hotel is a little old but they keep it up. Some nice extra touches. I think it would be great for families who ski.

Gunstock Inn was a very nice, comfortable & peaceful place. With only 25 rooms it was quiet. Our room was cozy & the bed was so nice & comfortable. The restaurant had very good food, reasonable prices & friendly, courteous people. We plan on coming up again & staying a little longer.

decent hotel with a good location and some new england charm, however, guests are restricted to adults only but there is evidence of children living there with toys cluttering the lobby sitting area and the outside back area, not what you want to see while on vacation.

As we pulled up I was a little concerned by the looks of the place, a little run down. But upon entering, the front desk staff were down home friendly! The construction is a bit warn but the bed was plush and comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean, and the room was very large with a deck and beautiful view of the lake and mountains!
