"We went to have a quiet, relaxing stay."
It was so much fun to have all the rooms we had. Even though we did not have guests w/us, you could walk about and feel at home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great for family or couples getaway"
the rooms are nice and cozy. lots of space - seperate bedroom, work area, living room and kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, toaster, etc). pool is small, but the spa is fairly big and nice. did not get any treatments so can't really say much about quality. location was very convinient- 5 mins to Sunapee Beach and Sunapee Mt. base.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location & amenities"
Aside from the room being a little musty, it was a lovely stay at a lovely place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice set up. We were only there for one night, but it would be a good place to stay for an extended time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Management was TOP NOTCH"
The manager running this resort was 5 stars. I was not happy that i had to drive down to the 1 or 2 star hotel at the bottom of the hill to get to get my room key. If i wanted to go there i would have booked there. Then our room was like a sauna. We called the front desk at the 1 or 2 star hotel and he personally had to come and turn our AC on. I paid […] to stay at the resort. A bit crazy i was doing most of my business with the 1 star at the bottom of the hill Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location @ Lake Sunapee"
07/11/14 MyasisDragon1 Baltimore, Maryland
We found Mountain Edge through an exchange. Our group was very happy with our accommodations. The name is very accurate - you can't see the lake (not Lake View) and you can't see the mountain (not Mountain View) but just on the "edge". The rooms were spacious enough for two families for a week with the one-bedroom w/ loft. The loft was spacious. Only issue is noise from the living room carries quite well up to that loft so if people want to rest or go to bed while other stay up, it isn't very good. Only other issue was the thermostat/temperature control. Had no analog or digital readout so couldn't dial in a comfortable temperature. Main level was cool while loft was too warm. Needs much better balancing. Overall, good trip and nice place to stay.
"First visit but definitely not the last"
My husband and I stayed at Mountain Edge the week of 6/27 - 7/4. We have been to the area but stayed elsewhere on other trips. This will definitely be our choice for stays in the future. It is centrally located on Lake Sunapee which makes getting to any public launch area for kayaking easy. It is also just minutes to the state beach which is also nice for days you want to feel sand between your toes. The resort is lovely, grounds are well maintained. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit that was extremely spacious for two people and very well equipped and maintained. We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub as it was too warm, but did take advantage of the outdoor pool almost daily and the outdoor hot tub once. Since the resort was quiet, they did not seem to clean the pool and hot tub (outdoors) as frequently as they might if the resort was busier, but as I mentioned, we still used the pool almost daily. We will definitely try the on-site restaurant on our next visit as the menu looked great, aromas were tempting and prices were reasonable. We enjoyed sunsets on our balcony with a cocktail and our suite, although facing the main road was very quiet at night. Every staff member was happy and very accommodating and seemed to be happy to be at their post. So for so many reasons, we will be

just got back from an escape weekend at this gorgeous hotel!! King size comfortable accommodations with gas fire place!!! 2 beautiful inside pools with hot tub & work out facility. Outside heated pool. Comfortable, reasonably priced restaurant with big screen TV's only opened for dinner. Wish it was opened for breakfast!!

The rooms were spacious and beds were king sized and great. Pullout couches were not comfortable and should be updated with the new thicker fold out mattresses. The staff was great and very accommodating. Kudos to cleaning staff. Will definitely be back.
"Relaxation at its finest! We will be back. "

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the city for a quiet, relaxing "mini vacation". We were very surprised at the size of our suite. We were very happy that we had a balcony with our room, it was nice to relax with a glass of wine each evening. The pool and hot tub was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The manager was very kind and helpful. Overall it was a fantastic stay.

Small kitchens need to be better stocked w/pots&pans, bowls, glasses. Room temp was fine as was comfy big bed. Den is a little stiff on furniture as is leather couch in LR--need something more comfortable, as do the dining-stools =need backs. Could use maybe resort pen/paper and instructions for TV channels/remotes/DVD. Gym(weights had issues-should add free weights, bosu or step and mats) and pool(little cool should heat) were adequate. Tavern was quaint-little pricy (could be more selections)and dead off season-need live music or activity/events-games. GREAT LOCATION to Mt.Sunapee and Lake Sunapee(State Beach).Staff was extremely helpful and courteous but unaware of local events/activity. They should have pre-printed directions to various places: beach, harbor, bike trails(lacking), churches, other towns-Newbury, Newport, etc. Clothesline would be helpful in shower (great pressure) to hang/dry bathing suits or at least more hooks. I recommend close restaurants. Grounds well maintained. No real parking lot. No serious criticism, all in all a good stay. I travel a lot so I will recommend this resort and would return. Patrick(mgr?), David(?) & Jesse were very accommodating.
"The only choice in town"

Stayed for one night during February school vacation week. The town is a one horse town. There was no lunch served anywhere except Mt Sunapee ski resort. The hotel only serves dinner, and service is on the slow side. The room is large with standard time share kitchenette and pull out sofa. I have to keep on waking up during the night to turn on the timed fireplace heater, since the rooms are rather cold or not insulated very well during a particularly wintry day. Pool and hot tub is nice after a long cold ski day. The only complaint is the lack of food choices. Definitely needs better lodging choices in Mt Sunapee.
"A nice quiet place off season"

Apart from the fact that they don't serve food during the off season but that there is a store close by, this place has everything you need, Our room was bigger than our London apartment. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the shower hot and it had extra clothes hanging space in the hall. It was only $3.50 to get a load of laundry washed and dried using their machines downstairs. Can't criticise it.

This is a nice resort with well kept units. We went for a ladies spa weekend. Our facials by Elizabeth were amazing and extremely relaxing. It would be nicer if they improved the waiting room experience. The wicker furniture is not really very comfortable. The pool was nice but a little chilly. We had dinner at the tavern which was cozy but had a limited menu. I recommend this resort for a nice stay near Lake Sunapee.
"Easy get-away, great customer service!"

I arrived without a reservation badly needing some R&R. The front desk person, Joseph M., could not have been nicer or more helpful. I was traveling alone and really needed to feel safe AND have peace and quiet. Since the place was pretty deserted for a Monday off-season, I had my pick of rooms, which Joseph was more than happy to show me 3-4 and then let me choose which room I liked best. I chose Rm #319 on the third floor, which had a small kitchen with some appliances and cutlery/dishes, a large bathroom with tub, gas fireplace, one bedroom with a queen bed and a den. more than enough room. Joseph then provided me with toothbrush and paste/comb/shampoo/conditioner, directions to the nearest supermarket and drugstore, phone number for the massage therapist if I needed it and the local grocery store. My only negative comment would be that there was a very large bright light outside of the bedroom window to light the outside stairwell, shining directly at the bed. The shades were not enough to keep the light out and since I am the type of person that needs total darkness, this made it a little difficult for me to get to sleep. But, this is my ONLY complaint. Room darkening shades in the bedrooms would be appreciated. But again, Joseph was so helpful sweet, pleasant and kind. He could tell by my haggard demeanor that I was not lying when I said I needed some rest! Customer service is not dead here and even though it has been months since my visit, I knew that I had to write this review for this resort.(And I had promised Joseph that I would, it just took me awhile...you're the BEST, Joesph!!) I was not there long enough to enjoy the spa or the pools but the entire place and the grounds were very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this great spot!
