The rooms are in the best of conditions -- everything is impeccably clean (to a 4 star hotel standard), appropriately roomy for an urban location, and tastefully decorated. Great BnB. The host was very accommodating and friendly, even making breakfast an hour earlier because we had a tour that day. Not in city centre but there is a bus right outside which takes you straight to city centre. Clean and full of beautiful artwork to admire.

We stayed at the Sherman for 3 nights the welcome from tom and rowena was very welcoming and the service was just fantastic nothing was to much bother. Our room was very well apointed withevery thing needed to hand the shower was just fantastic. The breakfast is made to order I would recommend the pancakes with bacon. If i go back to Edinburgh i will deffinately stay at the Sheridan again and i will recomend this guest house to anyone else going there! its a beautiful house, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, on suit small but spotless and functional, lighting and mirrors excellent for putting on make up etc, better than any hotel!! our party was 2 couples […] so obviously we had 2 rooms and both were to the same high standard. The breakfast choice, quality, presentation was superb as was the service. Many hotels could learn a thing or 2 from this guest house. We entered the guest house through a beautifully kept garden. The entrance hall was light and airy with some lovely Georgian features, such as the tiled floor. There were some lovely plants and the wall decorations were very tasteful. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our room, which was clean, neat and comfortable (the beds were excellent) […] The shower room was modern and very clean. The dining room was light and airy with beautiful white linen and china on the tables. The breakfast menu was varied, and we had the traditional Scottish breakfast. It was served fresh cooked, Hot and delicious. Once again served with a smile. We travelled into Edinburgh on the bus which stopped outside the Sheridan every 15 minutes. Die Athmosphäre war sehr entspannt. Frau Watt gab sich alle Mühe und war stets freundlich.Das einzige was nicht den Erwartungen entsprach, war die Größe des Zimmers(sehr eng für zwei Personen mit Gepäck).Frühstück war hervorragend, kann mit Oberklassehotels mithalten.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Bed&Breakfast in Edinburgh. Rowena und Tom sind äußerst freundliche und liebenswerte Inhaber, die sich um alle Gäste kümmern. Man kann sich immer an sie wenden, bekommt hervorragende Tipps und vor allem: Man fühlt sich sehr herzlich willkommen. Unser Zimmer war im ersten Stock mit Blick auf die Strasse, aber nicht laut. Sehr sauber, […] alles wirkte wie neu. Auch das Badezimmer sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Frühstück gab es morgens von 8 bis 9 Uhr, völlig ausreichende Zeitspanne. Als wir mal wegen einer Tour in die Highlands früher los mussten, haben wir ohne zu Murren auch früher schon Frühstück bekommen. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war exzellent, sehr fein zubereitete Eierspeisen, dazu frische Toasts, selbstgemachte Marmelade, sowie Cerealien und Säfte. Sehr lecker! Einziger Kritikpunkt: WLAN war zwar vorhanden, funktionierte aber nur im Eingangsbereich, nicht im Zimmer. Darüber kann man aber hinwegsehen. Schräg gegenüber die Bushaltestelle, die einen in rund 10-15 Minuten direkt in die City bringt. Zu Fuß kann man auch wunderbar an den Hafen von Leith gelangen, wo es tolle Restaurants und Pubs gibt. Supernette, hilfsbereite und lustige Gastgeber, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit großer Auswahl, liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Lediglich die Toilettenspülung war etwas "sparsam" und die Fensterdämmung noch verbesserungswürdig. Aber die noch relativ neuen Gastgeber arbeiten an weiteren Verbesserungen.

Kleines B&B im Vorort Leith.Bushaltestelle gegenüber dem Haus (Linie 11). Sehr sauber. Unser Twin-Room war etwas klein. Modernes und geräumiges Badezimmer. Rowena war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
