We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The pool was great. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the splash pool. The steam room and hot tub were wonderful. We wished they could be open a little later. The bunk beds were loved and the surprise cookie for the kids in the afternoon was a great treat! Shower was easy to work & had nice water pressure. The staff were very nice & helpful. The restaurant had good food and good service.

The hotel is located right next to the train station and castle. The staff is great. and the room was comfortable, but not great.

I could not have been happier with my choice of a place to stay, it was perfectly located, very easy to find, and the owners could not have been more helpful with great advice for some things to see while in the area. I will go back, absolutely, if the opportunity arises to travel into the area again. The breakfast was one of the best I had this trip, extra stars for that.

This hotel is small and quaint and very personal. Our family was on a 21 day trip to Europe, and we stayed in several hotels. This hotel was absolutely the best experience of our entire trip. It was charming. The proprietor made us feel welcome, as though we were family. The day that we checked out, we accidentally left an item at the hotel, and the […] proprietor went out of his way to get it to us as he knew it was important. Knowing that we had intended to visit Hadrian's Wall, he drove the item to the monument and found us, where he delivered it to us. "nice hotel near roman forts"
The inn's bar didn't open until 6pm, so it took us a little bit to get someone downstairs to let us in, but after that we were led to a nice and simple, homey room. The owner/manager guy was very friendly and helpful. Mattresses and pillows were quite hard, though. The sink and mirror in the bedroom was nice. Area was quiet. "Nice but cold"
This country pub offers a few rooms for travellers. Food is OK but when the heating gets turned off at 10:30 gets really cold. Breakfast does not start till 8:00 so they offered a pack lunch instead as I need to leave early.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We enjoyed our stay and were made very welcome. We were cycling and our bikes were made safe in a locked outhouse. Our room was clean and tidy although the decoration was a bit tired. Extremely satisfied with cosy superior room accommodation. It was not clear from room discription what the bed details were but I can confirm all three superior rooms are twins.
