"Eastern Shore Convenience"
The Hampton Inn in Exmore, VA, is a comfortable, clean, friendly and reasonably priced place to stay while visiting Virginia's Eastern Shore during any season!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The room is nice"
Having to go to this area for a funeral, I did not want stay in a bad hotel. The reviews for the hotel helped me choose (the one closer to the church did not receive good reviews). So, as it was helpful to me, I hope this helps someone else. The room was quite nice (more upscale than you would think) big comfortable bed, clean everything, big bathroom, […] granite & wood, etc. My ONLY problem was the lack of restaurants in the area or the hotel. They do offer a nice complimentary breakfast, so… But surrounding area was strictly fast food; McDonalds being the closest. But that is the area, and in no way the hotels fault. It made my trip a little easier and nicer to have this room for the night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hampton Suites Exmore, VA"
Hotel was conveniently located on the highway we were traveling on. Several eateries nearby - OK - not noteworthy. Front desk person we dealt with was excellent and very interested in making sure we had everything we needed. Room was neat and clean.

"Nicest hotel in the area"
10/20/14 Deb_traveller Bethany Beach, Delaware
We spent a Saturday night here on a recent weekend trip to Virginia's Eastern Shore. Nice hotel with comfortable beds. Breakfast was average for a Hampton, with several options available. We did hear people above us walking all night and that was annoying. Also, the air conditioner/heating system was very loud and I found some hairs on the inside of the shower curtain. Besides that though, the room was very clean. We stayed in one of the King suites and the room was very large, including a little kitchenette area. The hotel location is a good one, across the highway from a shopping center. Several fast food restaurants are nearby and you are very close to the Exmore Diner which is small but has great food.
"Nice and new"

Great hotel with clean new rooms, soft pillows and the best breakfast we've had at a hotel anywhere. Real omelets, turkey sausage, great coffee, pastries and the usual cereals fruits and make your own waffles. Everything was spotless, the staff very nice and the location only 2 miles from our favorite eastern shore restaurant The Great Machipango Clam Shack. Only negative is the the walls must be thin because it was more noisy than other Hampton Inns. Ran the AC fan and that helped. Would definitely stay here again

A great hotel with WONDERFUL service! My husband and I arrived quite a bit after check-in, we were greeted by the front desk clerk who quickly got us checked in and offered us a few ideas for places to eat dinner. On a night later in our stay the desk clerk went above and beyond to get me milk when I had a cereal craving late at night, I didn't catch her name but she was an example of a model employee Once settled into our rooms we found them EXTREMELY CLEAN. We booked a smoking room and it smelled like fresh linens! We spent majority of the time of this trip away from the hotel so we did not take advantage of the daily maid service but the maid staff we encountered in the hall was friendly. Over all I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel for anyone looking to stay at the Lower Eastern Shore.
"Dirty elevators and corridors, possibility of bed bugs, breakfast of low grade food stuff"

We stayed at this hotel on September 20, 2014. We also stayed at another hotel during that weekend so I cannot be absolutely sure that the many bites from bed bugs that we both had came from this hotel, but noting that the elevators were dirty - walls, doors, carpets, and the corridor carpets were not clean, and all notices were sloppy, and that the vending machines had very old out-of-order signs, I reasonably suspect that the bites occurred during our overnight at this hotel. Also, in a beautiful environment with wonderful breezes, the windows do not open. Why not? So the staff does not have to dust occasionally?

I've been staying here on business and I have to say that the rooms are very nice and inviting... Only the rooms that are suites will have microwaves and a fridge.. The rest do not... Some of the staff are helpful I wish i could say that for all of them... But my overall experience; the good outweigh the bad...
"Great place for the passer-bys"

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stop and stay if you're just passing through the area. Not every room has a mini-fridge and microwave so you may want to check on that before you book if you need one.
"Nice place to stay on the eastern shore"
09/29/14 June C Princeton Junction, New Jersey
When you travel from NJ to the Outer Banks, there is a long stretch along the Eastern shore where there are not a lot of options to overnight. One of the nicest is probably the fairly new Hampton Inn at Exmore. We stayed in a suite there for one night. It was a roomy suite with most of what you expect from a Hampton. We didn't feel like going out for a big meal after all our driving, and were surprised to discover that right across the street, next to a filling station, was a little pizza place where we got an excellent take out vegetarian pizza for under $10, which we ate in our room at the convenient table. Especially good were the sweet peppers on the pizza, but it was crammed with tasty vegetables. You get a fridge and a little kitchenette type area in your suite, so it is convenient for eating in. The breakfast was a typical Hampton one not outstanding but many choices, and my husband made quite a good waffle for himself. The staff was pleasant, and the rates were reasonable considering that we had a spacious suite, and it was only about half an hour from the tunnel bridge. There is an excellent bakery in the adjacent little town of Exmore, where you can buy delicious muffins etc. to go even if you have had the free breakfast at the Hampton. This is a decent stopover place. There was a little noise in the hallway outside our room from time to time, but this is not the fault of the management and we got a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed.
"Nice for 1 night"

We stopped here for 1 night on our way to our vacation destination. I've stayed in Hampton Inn's before and this one was no different. It was a comfortable place to stay for a short visit. I wish the beds had blankets under the comforter. Using just the sheet was too cool and the comforter - to hot. A lightweight blanket would have been perfect. Staff was helpful and courteous. And as always, the breakfast was a great way to start the second half of our trip.
"Nice new hotel"
09/18/14 Taft K Richmond, Virginia
This is relatively new and typical for Hampton Inn. Everything worked, and all was as expected. The other guests looked primarily like traveling businessmen and managers - and there was fresh coffee in the lobby. The highlight of our stay was the woman taking care of breakfast, Christi, who was both wonderful and thoughtful.
"Not quite the Truth"
09/16/14 CloverAcres North Carolina
While our room was very nice and clean, and comfortable bedding was provided, the breakfast was a BUST. My husband had asked several times - before we even registered - whether a hot complete breakfast will be provided in the morning (there were many other hotels in the area), and the response was affirmative each time. In the morning we were amazed to find a continental breakfast, not even as varied as others we have encountered. The only hot item was some muffin one had to microwave with egglike substance without any flavor. Very disappointing!
