The facilities are quite good--from the impressively grand lobby to the amazing bath (both of which are maintained impeccably). By contrast, the room, though clean, was a bit tired and small. I found the service staff to be exceedingly helpful and, when there are linguistic issues (e.g., you don't speak Japanese and they don't speak English), they have this system whereby they will hand you an iPad to connect with an interpreter on the spot! Also, the izakaya restaurant on the first floor is great and reasonably priced. There are younger wait staff who are eager to speak to you in English. The location is problematic, though, even with Sapporo's SUPER EXCELLENT public transit system. It is too far from the subway station, and the hotel shuttle from central Sapporo is extremely limited. So, you will be taking a cab at 4,000 Yen or so from/to central Sapporo (or 1,500 Yen or so from the nearby subway station). All in all, though, I'd definitely consider staying here again,

Location.
Conveniently near the airport in Sapporo, Mercure Hotel Sapporo is close to Sapporo TV Tower, Clock Tower, and Odori Park. Also nearby are Former Hokkaido Government Office Building and Sapporo Beer Museum.

Mercure Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. It was close to where we wanted to go. We enjoyed our stay.

"Hotel Mercure- great hotel"
Hotel Mercure is in a great location, close to subways and close to the nightlife. It's a new, modern hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. We were there for the ice festival and each evening they had hot chocolate in the lobby for guests, it was delicious! I highly recommend staying here!!
"Mercure Hotel in Sapporo"
This hotel is OVERRATED base on 4.7 given! The room we stayed in didn't at all look like the picture posted on the Hotels.com website. The room is much, much smaller. Also, don't expect breakfast that the price offered, you must pay extra. Expecting WIFI? It isn't available though advertised. Expecting an one english channel? No Way! The hotel caters […] mostly to Japanese. Front Desk is no help in resolving problems with WIFI or your TV, all they do is apologize, no action taken to resolve your problems. "Great Location."
Great Location. Its located where susukino meets Sapporo Central Business District. The rooms are a bit small (Paris Size?) but well appointed, comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff. Walking distance to most of the shopping and eating places. Sapporo is one of the best food towns in Japan, specially for seafood. I will use this hotel again.

A chic little boutique hotel with friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms and a convenient location, right next to the metro station. Overall, the experience was very good, however in order to have wi-fi in the room, you will have to borrow a router from the reception and leave a small deposit for it in case you decide to bring the router home with […] you. The hotel was in walking distance to "Ramen Alley" which was a haven for my husband as he LOVES ramen and not to mention all the very "interesting bars" in the Susukino district.... I personally wouldnt recommend guest with kids to stay in the susukino district but it's definitely fun for adults!! Read more

We stayed 3 nights here: the hotel is very comfortable with quality fittings. We had a standard queen room and there was plenty of space in both the room and the bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful, spoke English and were very courteous and freindly. "Mecure Sapporo , friendly and helpful frontdesk"
had a wonderful stay at mecure sapporo hotel. the hotel is conviently located near 2 subway tracks which makes commuting to nearby attraction easy. I stayed at this hotel for sixteen nights and was more then satisfied with everything involved with my stay at this hotel. The main thing was the location and service, when I return to Sapporo I will not stay at any other hotel other then the Mercure.

The Hotel is very convenient to approach to every where you looking forward to ,just walking shortly to subway and close to parking area if you have a car. Many shopping mall are located around there.

I'm very satisfied with this hotel and strongly recommend it! The staff were courteous and I was always greeted with a smile. There was additional security as only hotel guests could access to the lifts to the hotel rooms (with the use of the access card). Love the hotel, will definitely stay there again when I next visit Sapporo, especially if the rates remain just as attractive! The hotel is new so everything was clean and in good condition. You need an access card to use the lift so you know that the hotel took safety precautions. There was an ice-vending machine on our floor with 2 vending machines […] for drinks so it was convenient. We were in a standard room so we weren't expecting much but the room was quite big. Small rooms are the norm in Japan but this was a good size. The bathroom was big too and the toiletries provided were fantastic. Really modern packaging too. There were also nice touches, like a hidden mirror at the table that you can lift up. For ladies, this was excellent as you can apply make-up under natural lighting (the table was next to the window) and have a view of the Sapporo TV tower at the same time! The bed was quite firm, so if you are a fan of firm beds like me, that's great. My friend who prefers softer bed still managed to sleep extremely well too. The location was fantastic. It's walking distance to everywhere! Sapporo is a very easy city to get around. If you are lost, simply stop and ask someone. People in Sapporo are extremely friendly and helpful. They will try their best to speak in English to you. We walked to the ramen alley for supper, to the Nijo Fish market for breakfast, to Otari Park and even to the Sapporo Station! Though it was in winter, the walks were all enjoyable. It really wasn't that cold. For those who prefer to take the subway, the station is a stone throw away from the hotel. It's only 1 station to Otari and 2 to Sapporo station. For those taking the bus to Niseko, the pickup point at Ramada Hotel is just across the street. Perfect! Susukino, where the hotel is located, is the entertainment district. When you walk around at night, you do see men at almost every street corner, but it is safe. "Great new hotel in busy district of Suskino"
Hotel is brand new, a year old. The room was big enough, 26 sqm. Everything in thye room was clean except the water from the tap which is cloudy. The hotel room is vry safe. Some staffs can speak English well. Some can't. The Freanch restaurants was nice, but the food is a bit too less for the expensive price.
"Highly recommended"
The Mercure Hotel is extremely convenient from the subway. The hotel is pretty new just opened one year so the lobby and everything is new and modern and nice. Only that the room is quite small not sure if it's common for these type of basic rooms in other japanese restaurant.

酒店环境非常的安静舒适，装修颇为洋气，房间非常大，马路对面就是赫赫有名的蟹将军~ 最值得一提的是，酒店每一位工作人员的工作态度都相当的值得敬佩，良好的英语基础以及热情周到的服务态度，不但一次又一次不厌其烦的解答我们许多琐碎的问题，还主动为我们为我们推荐安排最佳行程路线。除此之外，酒店毗邻几条主要线路的地铁站和JR火车站，其优越的地理位置为我们省下许多旅途时间。。。总之，三天的北海道之旅过得相当愉快！大力推荐！！

地點：十分方便，正正在不夜天的薄野，又鄰近地鐵站。 酒店服務：每員工都十分有禮貌，待人很好。 酒店房間：裝修新，空間又不是太細，燈光適中。

サービスもインテリアのセンスもとてもよく快適な日を過ごすことができました。 千円でロキシタンのアメニティを買うことができ、いい香りでアロマスパ気分を味わえますよ。 一人で滞在したので外のお店で北海道の海産物という気分ではなかったので、ホテルのレストランでディナーを頂きました。お料理もワインも（パンについて来たバターも！）とてもおいしくて雰囲気も良く満足です。 ありがとうございました。
별로 기대를 안했는데 생각외로 아주 좋았습니다. 지은지 얼마되지않아 그런지 인테리어도 깨끗하고 청소상태나 서비스도 아주 만족스러웠습니다. 다만 일본이라 그런지 기본적인 먹는 물은 제공이 안되고요. 대신 층마다 아이스머신이 있어서 좋았습니다. 추가로 인당1600엔으로 아침식사 예약해서 먹었는데 나쁘지 않았습니다.
