"Close to shops, restaurants, and airport."
Comfortable and quiet hotel room with all the amenities. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenience and affordable."
Hotel is comfortable and convenient if you need to be by I205, the airport or east side of Portland. Staff was mostly nice, some were gruff/curt on the phone. Pool was nice after a long day. Upholstery could use some spot cleaning, otherwise room quipwas clean and the kitchenette was equipped with simple housewares, more than I expected, actually […] . "Front desk - no help"
Stayed overnight for a shopping trip in Portland. This hotel in conveniently located near great stores. However, I have never experienced such poor front desk service. On one instance, we asked if the sofa bed could be made so that we could use it. We were told to look in the closet and make the beds ourselves. Under the sofa bed was candy and peanuts […] from a previous stay. We went shopping a came back at 10pm and the lot was full. We inquired with the front desk of alternate parking and was told that we could look for parking around, but she wasn't sure if we would be towed. Her attitude was unprofessional and sassy. Will be back soon!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a wonderful experience! The price was amazing for the room and the quality. I had wanted an oven, but the studios did not have them. They moved me to a one bedroom, with no additional cost. The entire time the service was just as wonderful. Feeling very Spoiled!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a great hotel. Close to the airport and the MAX train is right out front, so you can get to downtown in about 25min, so it saves from parking and fighting traffic. For being close to the airport it is very quiet, and free breakfast. I always stay at this place when in Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful customer service"
We arrived a day earlier than expected and the front desk staff quickly found us a room, then allowed us to check in to our previously booked room early the next day. The location is excellent with a Target right next door and shopping close by. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you for a great stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Take MAX train, no need to rent a car in Portland"
Hotel is within steps of MAX train. Cascade Mall is only 5 minute walk. Lots of restaurants close by.Genuine Expedia guest review
I found the hotel suite extremely small and cramped.Genuine Expedia guest review
My husband, daughter and I spent a week at the Residence Inn by Marriot Airport. The location was perfect for taking transit into Portland with a MAX red line stop right outside the hotel. We also did a few day trips with our rental car. Only a half hour from Multnomah Falls and 90 minutes from Seaside. We started off each day with the complimentary […] breakfast buffet. A good selection of hot and cold choices. Monday and Wednesday evenings the staff put on a complimentary happy hour complete with snacks, wine and beer. The outdoor firepit was a lovely touch just outside the hotel lounge. Our room was equally nice with a fully equipped kitchen. You can find a decent grocery section at the Target just next door. Also have to recommend dinner at Farmer Dave's, just a fifteen minute walk or one MAX stop away (Cascade Station). They had great BBQ choices. I would highly recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worth the extra money"
For stays longer than a week, this hotel is worth the modest fee increase compared to other hotels/motels you might find in package deals. The breakfast is substantial and surpasses "included breakfasts" at other properties. The facilities were modern, clean and very comfortable. Nice fitness room, pool area, patio with fire pit and even a BBQ grill. […] The basketball court was a huge added bonus! The comfort of having a mini-apartment/studio to unwind in when away from home was extremely relaxing. Residence Inn will be my future hotel of choice for stays greater than a couple days. In addition to the above, they even provided a manager's happy hour (food and beverages) which I was unable to take advantage of, but it's another example of the extraordinary value provided. Pay the little bit extra and enjoy an extremely relaxing and comfortable hotel experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good choice for airport"

Nice and large suites, well equipped. Close to the airport with free shuttle (about 5-7 min). Very comfortable bed, Complimentary breakfast (buffet style) Next to a small shopping center and just in front of a train station. Nice pool. From my room, I could see planes landing.

By now I'm learning that staying at any Marriott is unpredictable, usually a mix of the good and not so good. Such was the case at this Residence Inn. On the plus side: the indoor pool, the ample breakfast, the convenience to the airport and public transportation, the kitchens in the mini-suites. Minuses included an overall feeling of shabbiness (clean but run down), uncomfortable beds and a dearth of rooms with two beds for two adults.
"Great location, great rooms"
07/22/14 dale300300 Seattle, Washington
We stayed here for one night over the 4th of July weekend. We will definitely be back! The hotel is located right next to a Target and several other quick dining options if you need to pick something up. It is also located right next to the light rail that takes you into the city- no car needed! The rooms are new, and were great for traveling with our 10 month old. The kitchen was perfect for meal prep for her. The only disappointment was breakfast- they didn't have plates/bowls/silverware stocked, and a lot of the food items were gone. Seems like they need more staff to keep up with the traffic.
"Property, location great. Staff very bad."

We have stayed here at least 5 other times, prior to this stay (7/11 - 7/14) we would have rated this as one of the best places we have stayed in the Portland area. This recent experience was a real disappointment, we will NOT be back. We returned to our room (206) on 7/13 after being gone all day to find our room had not been cleaned, towels replaced, etc. I called the front desk and spoke with Ariel, who made various excuses why the room had not been cleaned. They ranged from "we don't clean rooms every day", "long term guests don't get that service" and "we are booked up." On each of our previous stays the room was cleaned every day, we were not long term guests. She was in no way helpful in and should not be in a position where she has to interact with customers. I wanted new towels, her excuse was she did not have any house keeping staff to take care of my request. It's unfortunate we have to look for another place to stay, but I do not care to have another conversation with Ariel. I started wondering if this hotel had changed management recently, this stay was so different from all our previous visits. I will be writing Marriott corporate with this experience and querying them if a management change has taken place.

This was our family's 2nd time staying at this hotel. Once in March 2013 and July 2014. And both stays were great. The bed is comfortable, the room is a good size, and the kitchen is a great size. And the free breakfast is good too. The staff is friendly. The only bad part is it is far from the city. Of course our family will stay here again, the next time we are in town.
"Stay away from the 19 rooms"
07/13/14 RavennaBlvd. Seattle
We are in 219 a couple times an hour there is a rush of water in one of the main walls that sounds like Niagra Falls. It is really loud. When I went to breakfast I complained to the front desk about how loud it was and how it woke our boys up. Her response was that they get that complaint a lot with the 19 rooms...119, 219, etc., and then gave me an "I'm sorry shrug". No offer to find a different room, no offer of any sort of compensation, but basically just "deal with it".
"Expected more from this hotel"

We stayed for one night at this Residence Inn during our trip to Portland. We were very appreciative that the hotel let us check in early (around 1pm) before heading out for some sightseeing in the afternoon. However, after going up to our one bedroom suite, it seems like the housekeeping staff forgot to finish a few things. All the dresser drawers were left pulled out and the sofa bed was halfway out of the couch. I also noticed the bathroom sink still had hair left in it from the last guest (I rinsed it down the sink). This is a minor detail...but there was only one bath towel in the room and I had to call the front desk for more (usually I see more than enough towels in a room). There were no towels when we went to the pool & hot tub as well. Also, I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the evening hors d'oeuvres. There were only a couple items of food, beer and a red or white wine. I will say the staff was friendly and they accommodated our request for early check in. I suppose my expectations for this newer Residence Inn was pretty high and it came short in many areas.
"Shuttle service Unreliable"
06/30/14 anita057 Virginia Beach, Virginia
I am a Gold Marriott member and I reserved two rooms for unreliable and me and our daughter and granchildren for the night before we were flying out of Portland. I needed to return my rental car and was assured that the shuttle would pick me up in 7-10 minutes after I called from the airport. It took 45 minutes and 2 phone calls to be picked up. I reserved the shuttle for 8 am the next morning and, after being there 15 minutes early, we were told at 8:05 that the driver was not available ( the shuttle van was there at the front entrance) and that they had called another hotel to have their van pick us up. The van finally arrived 15 minutes later. We had two identical King size suites and in both rooms the air conditioning vents blew directly on the bed. Our only choice was to turn off the air conditioner. In addition, the mattresses were hard.
"Very pleased with our stay!"
06/25/14 HHLVR OH
Stayed at this Residence Inn the night we landed in Portland and then again, ten days later the night before we flew out of Portland. Very pleasing stay; room and bathroom were both very clean; plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. Desk clerk was friendly, efficient and welcoming on both stays. We did not find the airport noise to be problematic. Breakfast area was well stocked, items were fresh and varied; better than many complimentary breakfasts. Most impressive thing of our stay was that I left my purse hanging on the back of my chair after breakfast...not good! I realized it about 15 minutes later and returned to the area. One of the wonderful ladies who was staffing the area, found it and turned it in to the front desk. THANK YOU!! How refreshing to find such honesty in today's world. Would recommend this hotel to people who wish to stay near PDX!
"Great visit to Residence Inn Portland Airport at Cascade Station"
06/25/14 glamourbyjim Sarasota, Florida
Had a great visit on May 22 thru 24, 2014. End of a great vacation in Oregon. This was our first visit to Portland, and our goal was the following: find a hotel that was near the airport so we could get our rental back early, close to rail service so we could get into downtown Portland easily, and get a shuttle for our return flight early on Sunday morning. The Residence Inn Portland Airport at Cascade Station filled our bill exactly. We were able to check in early, due to the thoughtfulness of the front desk staff. BTW the front desk personnel were very helpful in giving us directions, maps, and advice on going into Portland. Any of the staff we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful - a pleasure to deal with. Our room was wonderful. Clean, comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was the best we had in the many hotels we stay in during our trip. I would highly recommend Residence Inn Portland Airport at Cascade Station, and would stay there again, even if I had to go out of my way to get there.
