We needed a place to stay for one night while enroute to Sanibel island for our familyof three.The location of this hotel was perfect. I was impressed by the room. It was great to have a separate sitting area and the room was like a studio apartment. We requested two queens. We didn't need the kitchen at all, but it was well equipped and spotless! Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay so pleasureable. We had a very nice stay. We asked for early check in and were given it. Then we asked for late check out and were given that also. Very impressive hotel and staff. We will definately stay here again if we come back to Ft Myers.

This hotel is one of the best deals near Sanibel Beach. The price is always fair. After staying here for three years in a row, I think it beats many high end hotels. The morning breakfast is excellent, and they always seem to be improving the offerings. The pool area is also nice. We rented this room as a stay over between the airport and our rented condo an hour and a half away. We were so happy with our accomadations and the service here that we are planning a trip back to stay here a lot longer. The people at this hotel were extremely nice and helpful. This was a nice stay. The only negative was the room carpet was dirty. Walking around the room in white socks made them turn black rather quickly. Maybe the vac they use needs replacing. The caulk around the tub was not totally nasty, but showed signs of needing replacing. We only mention things in hotels that are really bad and nothing was so horrible […] to complain about to the staff. Just mentioning things to note. The pool area and hotel was clean throughout. There was a daily breakfast everyday and dinner from Mon-Thurs. We slept in or were away and did not participate, so we can not comment on the food. There are bike rentals at the hotel, too. We did not rent one on this trip, but the prices seemed reasonable. The front desk people were fantastic from check in to check out and each was always friendly. Well done! There is a grocery store and gas station right next to the hotel and very convenient. Some hotels do not have much parking, but there is plenty of parking at this hotel. The location is great. Especially if you want to go to Sanibel/Captiva Islands. For those who do not know, it costs a $6 toll to get on the islands. You can eat, shop or head to one of the many beaches. If you park at the beach areas, there is a $2 per hour fee for parking. All in all, Residence Inn was worth the stay. We would stay again. Read more

My husband and two teenage boys enjoyed our stay very much. It was a close drive to the beaches. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was better than most that we've had at other hotels. The boys enjoyed playing basketball and the large pool. Great for families. Would absolutely come back!

Floor was not clean on arrival in room. Bathroom had old soap in tub, and hair in tub and toilet. Was billed in full amount after prepaying through expedia, and the front desk had issues resolving the problem. One towel was left in the room after cleaning the next to last day of my stay, asked the attendant for a towel, was informed none were available, […] all were in the laundry. Asked the front desk for towels that evening, she told me some would be sent up, none arrived. Breakfast is still good. This is the fourth time to stay here the last two years, and for this visit, the front desk personnel and room cleanliness have fallen well below this hotel's standards. Read more

The hotel is in a nice, quiet area, but needs some updating, especially the rugs in the hallways and in the rooms. They are old, smelly and ugly. Each bed in the room had 5 uncomfortable pillows, why so many? They claim to be green, but they have to wash 10 pillow cases from each room on almost a daily basis. The breakfast was poor. Overall decor quality of the hotel was excellent. I was not impressed with the housekeeping in the hotel. The towel set up in the bath area. Towels were rolled and put in closet. There was an iron and board in only one of the two bedroom areas of the two bedroom suite. The toilet was plugged upon arrival and there was a frog in the toilet.

Super stay at this Residence Inn......the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeepers took excellent care of our suite which was large, comfy, with a balcony that offered a neat nightime view of Sanibel Lighthouse. Will definitely return.

We stayed here the night before visiting Sanibel Island. It is less than 5 minutes to the bridge to the island so we were on the beach in about 20 minutes. The hotel was in an area close to sanibal islands, Fort Myers beach, Naples, Porta Gorda. We rode our bicycles at Sanibal Island.. I cannot wait to go back..

This was perhaps the best hotel experience we have ever had. So much was unexpected. The room was more like a suite than a room. We were there a week and the hotel hosted 3 seperate evening events, serving refreshments that served as an evening meal. Marriott did well with this Residence Inn. Directly across the street from an Outlet Mall, with many available shops of all kinds within five minutes drive. Convenient to most attractions. Service was good, breakfast bar was plentiful. Good recommendation.
