Charleston Place - Superb Luxury

Friendly, welcoming staff. Nicely decorated, neat, clean, luxurious rooms. Very satisfied with my stay. Wish there were better conditions for pets, but pets are accepted! Grass close by, pet sitters as an option, etc. would be nice additions for those of us who travel with pets. Loved the accommodations though!

We enjoyed our stay very much.the only issue we had was a problem with the Internet access. It was fixed within a day, but even then it was very slow and not always available. Nevertheless, we will go back to this hotel

This was our first stay at this property in Charleston. The big advantage was its central location to the Market, shops and restaurants. We loved the special touches that the hotel did i.e., ice in the ice bucket at night, candy with the turn down service. The hotel paid particular attention to every detail for a traveler.

I had a great experience at Charleston Place. This was my first visit to Charleston, SC and I was immediately treated like a welcomed guest. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. The valet was more than helpful in assisting me with information upon arrival, even though I didn't valet my car. The lady in the […] parking garage got out of her booth and stopped traffic in the garage just so I could back out of my space at a busy exit time. (She saved the day!) I was upgraded to the club level suite for my wife's birthday even though I had requested a different room (above and beyond expectations) Also, they placed chocolate covered strawberries with a happy birthday note for my wife in the room upon arrival. (I didn't ask for this but won major points!) I would recommend everything about this place. Location was perfect and staff was excellent. Also, It was the most comfortable bed I have slept in for quite some time. 10/10 stars!!! Read more

This hotel property is exceptional. The location is wonderful - couldn't be better. My only negative comment is that the rooms do not have coffeemakers in them, nor are there soft drink machines available near the ice machines.

Well, I booked a king size bedroom online, and when we arrived they said it was no longer available - even though I had a reservation. They tried to give me and my fiance 2 twin beds! Great hotel! Very clean and very comfy beds! Beautifully decorated, great shopping and restaurant. Located in a central location to be walking distance to everything in historic district. Everyone was super nice to us. Dinner was the best! For our 57th Wedding Anniversary. They made every effort to make us welcome. The room was a disappointment as I went to take a bath and the tub would not hold water so I had to stuff a wash cloth in drain. The grout around the tub was dark like it was mildow. Our only complaint about this hotel is the parking. The garage is very close but owned by the city of Charleston. Getting out of the garage was often difficult due to lines moving slowly.
