The hotel is one of the nicest in Catanzaro. Everyone is very friendly, although there is a language problem if you don't speak Italian. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was adequate. Location - you can walk into city center, but it is an uphill walk back, so we needed to take a taxi.

Grand Hotel Paradiso is a new building situated in Catanzaro Lido, in the Ionian coast in Calabria, 700 metres away from the beach and few minutes away from the Provincial Road (S.P. 180).

Hotel with a Wellness Centre
The Paradisea SPA, which is spread over 400 m², is the ideal place to relax body and mind. It features a hammam, Kneipp route, whirlpool tub, biosauna, three emotional showers and a relaxation area. Beautiful hotel and very good restaurant. It is conveniently located between Catanzara and Catanzaro Lido. The hotel is clean, beautifully appointed,... excellent restaurant. The breakfast was spectacular - both the food and the view. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. They cut through the red tape with the airlines that lost our bag, and they retrieved them from the airport for us. I would highly recommend this hotel. We loved this hotel. Having stayed in hotels all over Europe this one takes some beating. We had the Rose Suite which was absolute luxury and even had a jacuzzi area! The staff at the hotel were lovely. They helped with every request and were on hand whenever we needed them, a special thanks to Antonio who was great. The pool are was great and the gym […] looked good even though we didnt use it because we spent too much time on one of the lovely beaches in the area. As for Calabria, I should keep quiet because it is a lovely region but wont stay that way if too many tourists go there. The beaches are gorgeous and the people are lovely, even if they cant speak a word of English (be warned you need to know Italian). All in all a great stay. Read more

Great hotel, its is probably better in July or August when the area is a bit more lively, staff is good, pool is nice. note there is a restaurant across the street which is fantastic its a must go if your stay here!

Wir waren bereits das zweite mal in diesem Hotel und würden es immer weiter empfehlen. Das Personal ist nett und zuvorkommend und versucht jeden Wunsch prompt zu erfüllen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist für süditalienische Verhältnisse äußerst reichhaltig (frischer Schinken, Eier usw.) und zu angenehmen Zeiten einzunehmen (bis 10.30 Uhr). Das Hotel bietet […] wirklich gute Wellnessangebote zu moderaten Preisen oder sogar kostenlos an. Die Hausbar wurde während unseres Aufenthalts ständig mit kostenlosen Alk.-freien Getränken nachgefüllt, was wirklich nicht alltäglich ist. Da das Hotel ziemlich nah am Centrum Catanzaro-Lido steht, ist die nähere Umgebung nicht unbedingt das Highlight, auch wenn man bedenkt, dass die süditalienische Sauberkeit (z.B. Müllentsorgung usw.) nicht unbedingt deutschen Standards entspricht. Den guten Gesamteindruck verliert dieses Hotel dadurch allerdings nicht. Read more

Hotellets "junior svit" var allt annat en detta, mycket dåligt, trasig AC, Deras 3rätters var sämsta maten vi ätit på länge. När vi ville checka ut en dag tidigt ville dom trotts vår dåliga uppleverlse endå debitera oss för sissta natten trotts att vi ej fått rätt rum, ätbar mat, AC på rummet etc.

Godt hotel, men ikke meget at foretage sig i området ud over at køre til stranden. Stort set ingen restaurenter/pizzariere i området. Ingen turistinformation i området. Ok shoppingmuligheder. Personalet taler meget dårligt engelsk og det er generelt for området. Via hotellet bestilte vi en udflugt, som blev aflyst af arrangøren, hotellet ville ikke […] give os de 10 Euro tilbage, som de havde taget for at ringe og bestille udflugten, dårlig service og det medførte, at vi ikke gav drikkepenge, som vi ellers plejer og at vi tog derfra med et meget dårligt indtryk.
