Once again we arrive after office is closed for the evening. Used night phone to contact and management had securely placed our room key and check-in details sheet read and awaiting our arrival. Good service for travellers whim are unsure as to exact arrival times. Room location was good, nice quite area at night even though is on main road, we had […] no traffic noise. When booked room , WiFi was listed having a surcharge, but a note was left as an upgrade to give complimentary WiFi for our stay as we had booked for 3 nights. Service overall Excellent. The only little let down was that the King Bed was made from 2 single beds joined, so gave me impression the room was also made available as a family room . Enjoyed our stay and would stay again . This location is not walk friendly -- i.e. it's about 1.5km from the main area of town so if you plan to walk to town it's not the best location. That said it was a VERY NICE ROOM. Make sure you get a full apartment. Do not stay here if you are going for "just a room". the apartments have beautiful lake view etc. The rooms however are dark, cramped and turn towards the main roads and require earplugs. Everything very clean and new though.

Quality: Housekeeping left our door propped open all day while we were away. People could walk into our room and steal our stuff for over 7 hours before we got back!!! When I talked to the hotel management they didn't even seem concerned. What do you pay a hotel for if not to have a room to lock your stuff in! Also, the fire alarm went off in the hotel […] while we were there. We followed the instructions on our door to evacuate. The hotel staff never came to the evacuation area and never told us what was happening. When we told them about this they suggested maybe we'd heard an alarm from somewhere else, once again trying to deflect responsibility for a serious situation. Cleanliness: We left out our breakfast dishes one morning as we hurried off to our Doubtful Sound tour. We arrived back at the hotel to find the cleaning staff had put the dishes away without washing them. There were milk rings in the bowls, banana pieces on the knives, etc. Comfort: They advertised a King bed. Really it was two smaller beds pushed together like cruise ships often do. However, they didn't even add any kind of pad onto the bed so you could not sleep on the middle without feeling like you were sleeping on a board. Read more

Reception service was outstanding. Had 2 hotel rooms reserved and was upgraded to very spacious 2 BR apartment. They also gave good advice and booked activities for us with nice discounts. Location outside of town but convenient since we were driving and parking in town can get pricey.

The rooms are spectacular, but make sure that you book a suite, NOT what they call a "hotel room." The latter a tiny, have no views and are noisy because they're on a very busy road. We enjoyed our three-night stay at a two-bedroom apartment at the Mantra Marina earlier this month, and wish we had had more time to hang out there. The apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated, lots of natural light, very clean, and had all the modern kitchen and other amenities we needed (washer/dryer, French press coffee maker, TV, wireless […] internet). We were unfortunate to not get a lake view apartment so would recommend that you specifically ask for apartments that have the lake view. Two minor drawbacks: (1) The wireless internet was quite slow - many sites did not load up because of speed (2) It's a 15 minute ride to Queenstown, and a 10 minute ride to Frankton shopping center - so you would need a car to get to either of these places. aside from the warm (radiant heated) floors, this hotel has a great view of the lake and free internet access -- a rare find in New Zealand. This is a great hotel to spend the night or a few days at. the staff is very friendly and helped us out tremendously. Very clean and modern rooms with a nice of the lake. Totally impressed with this accommodation, we booked the 3 bedroom apartment to suit our needs each bedroom had a bathroom. It was a very spacious apartment. beautifully furnished and extremely well equiped. It was light and airy with lovely lake views.

Loved staying here! It was a few minutes drive from the main drag of Queenstown but there is a wonderful walking path that was literally right outside my backdoor. When I first arrived at the accommodation, I couldn't believe the view of Frankton Arm/Lake. It was breathtaking! The bathroom definitely is wheelchair accessible as the door, shower and bathroom were designed that way. I wished my room was more inviting/warm feeling. Also, understanding that the hotel apt is eco-friendly, I had hope for separate hair […] cleaning product dispensers from the body wash/gel dispenser. Instead, it was a 3 in 1 dispenser. Also, I don't need my linens changed everyday (as I was only there for 2 nights) but would like for the bathroom to be vacuumed. As a girl with long hair, strands of hair are inevitable after every blow dry. I do wish the sink/counter was wider for toiletries. The heated tiles in the bathroom was a nice touch. The heater in the room worked as well. The LCD TV on the wall could have been bigger (13 inches is quite tiny) especially if that's all that is hanging on the wall. The staff (Wayne and Russell) were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and advice. The hotel is a bit far from the town center, but you can easily take a bus there and will take you there in 10-15 minutes. The bus stop is a few steps away. Very convenient. The airport is only a few stops away too. No need to take a cab as the bus fare was only $4NZ to the hotel. Again, the bus practically drops you right in front of hotel. The reception is only open from 8am to 7pm. But if there is something urgent, you can call the "operator" and they will respond to your request (I didn't make any calls after 7pm). Overall, friendly staff, nice hotel. If you have more people traveling, you can get an apartment with a kitchen and a view. Read more

overall a pleasant stay apart from first night because the room was close to the road and there was a lot of traffic noise. Very friendly and helpful staff who upgraded our room without extra charge. rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Motel lacks lounge and restaurant area. Good value would stay there again.

Unfortunately for us it was a hot sunny day, our room was at the very end of the complex and got all the sun, there was no air conditioning, fan, or anything to cool the room which was extremely hot and stuffy so we had to leave the windows open, the room was close to the main road and was very very noisy. We were not supplied with milk for our tea […] & coffee, ( first time ever for us) When I boiled the jug to make a hot drink, I poured the water out and it was brown, there were two old tea bags in the bottom of it. There was no where in the bathroom to put clothes etc except on the hand basin, there was not even a toilet seat lid. The hotel is just a few miles from Queenstown which is easy to access in a car or by the local bus which is just $5 each way per person and the bus stop is right outside. The staff were very helpful, the room was very clean and well equipped and everything was relatively new. The hotel is directly at the side of the lake, so is ideal for a walk or run […] / cycle ride. I asked for a room with a view for my girlfriends birthday and the shift manager was pleased to assist. Location- website writes the address as Queenstown however it is really in Frankton which is 5 km from QT. ok if you have a car or don't mind taking the bus back and forth. 2. Lovely comfortable rooms. Breakfast provided was very generous. Staff helpful, however we were hit with a bike hire fee at the end of our stay that they did not pre warn us about...Don't mind paying but better to inform guests before hire!
