Hotel Ivy Studios - Pune

I was going for a business trip and needed a comfortable, clean place to stay. Some place that had a gym, wifi and was close to where I worked. Ramee Grand provided that for me. The staff is very friendly and make you feel very welcome. I can't complain too much about the wifi because I have access to it, but you have to login using the password they give you multiple times to stay online which can sometimes be a nuisance, but Ive seen in India that this is generally what happens with Hotel Wifi's. The gym is currently Room 317 which has two treadmills, a yoga mat, a abs crunch, a ball and some freeweights. Not fully furnished but still allowed me to get in a basic daily workout. The food in the restaurant was excellent! I had maharastran breakfasts including poha, sabudana uusur, and upma which were made to satisfy! One last thing I want to say about this place is that it is very affordable and if you are there for business, the sales guy will help you make some packages for reducing the cost of your stay. I will definitely be returning to Pune for work and will definitely come back and stay in Ramee Grand!

Prime reason for choosing the hotel was wifi. However one would need to get a card each day from front desk to have wifi set up. You'd need a local cell phone for this. It was a pain particularly as I had multiple gadgets which needed connectivity. Some pro's - good cleaning staff, good breakfast, good service, quiet location. Some con's - time for upgrades, hallway carpet stincked one day, too small tv,

Having stayed at hotels in a good number of places/countries I rate the staff here as the friendliest and most helpful I have come across (including staff at supposedly 5 star establishments in India and elsewhere). I had no cause to ask the staff for anything out of the ordinary, so I cannot speak to their ability to go out of their assigned duties, but everyone at this hotel did their job very well indeed. I would return here without hesitation. The location is not spectacular if you want to walk around the hotel environs, but that is not a knock against either the hotel or it's staff.

We recently stayed here while adopting our toddler daughter (i.e, our second visit to Pune). It exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was huge, bathroom excellent, and it had a complete kitchenette (with fridge and microwave) -- even a convection stovetop that boiled water for chai in under 10 seconds! What more could you want? The hotel breakfast options are many (Indian and western), and the staff was friendly. Convenient location as others have said -- D Mart (grocery store, plus) and mall food court are within a short walk each, and there is 24/7 room service. The location is off the main road next to very nice flats and houses. We would definitely stay here again!!
