The hotel is located ideally on 100-ft road with easy connectivity across the city. However, the authorities need to review the facilities and at the very least ensure water taps and WC works well. Also, the door knobs and other fittings need urgent renovation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a great disappointment. The rooms were not cleaned, had to tell the hotel to change the room due to cockroach in the the bed which staff could not do anything. Hot water was not available. "Totally unsatisfied "
When on a personal stay with wife I booked this place. Right from the first step things weren't looking good. It turned to be a unhappy stay. Pros: proximity to koyembedu and prompt room service. Spacious and bright natural light. Cons: the reception staff is totally unwelcoming. There was a leakage near the AC duct which even on informing to the maintenance and guest relation manager was left unattended. At night when we came back it was irritating to look at water on the floor as u open the door. The bathroom lacks maintenance and the switch boards were about to fall apart... Overall totally it's not worth for money and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed in this hotel in February 2014 as a group occupying 4 rooms. Only the Reception area is good. Don't get inspired with other facilities in this hotel. This hotel was booked by the Indian agent Top Travel & Tours (New Delhi) for us as part of a multi-city journey. Pros: Reception looks good. Don't get inspired by the reception look and feel. Room service is good. We got everything we ordered within a reasonable time. Laundry service is good and very cheap. Rooms are spacious. Beds & pillows were okay. Cons: On arrival they took our passports and returned only few. When we inquired they said we did not give all passports. After searching everywhere they found one in the photo copy machine and two more among their messy reception table. Free Wi-Fi but reception informed there was a Internet Server error. This problem was not resolved for 4 days until we left the hotel. No LCD TV. Old TV takes lot of space near the working desk. Toilet amenities were broken. Shower kept flowing even after closing the taps. Only hot water was coming from taps. Unable to shower with boiling water. We tried to call the maintenance number but nobody answer that number. We called reception and every time they would say that they would send someone to look. But, this never happened until I had to physically walk in to the reception area to make the complaint. Later our room was changed. My appointment on the morning got delayed by 2 hours and entire day was a mess. There was no phone on the corridor to be used in an emergency. We have to go down 4 floors each time to recharge our door keys, since the keys are getting expired every 12 noon. Air Condition not working in both rooms. Luckily second room had a rotating fan. Toilets had only salty water. Another room’s flush toilet in the bathroom was broken and water was continuously flushing for hours. No hotel staff was interested in repairing it. Neither we gave a damn about it. Rooms were very dark due to inadequate lighting. Most of the bulbs were removed from the electrical holders by the local guests and hotel staff does not care much about it for cost cutting reasons. Morning breakfast is dull. Same food served all days. No variations. Butter was finished soon and no replacements after. However egg omelets were served upon requests for non-veg. Nevertheless it tastes like a Dosai. No salt, No chilies, nothing special. Room key (Electromagnetic Swipe Card) was not working. We had to wait outside the room for 45 minutes until hotel staff changes the batteries of the door lock device. What irritates us more is that housekeeping person, maintenance person and room services manager keep putting their master keys 40-50 times each knowing that the batteries are dead and no light is emitted from the door lock. Room doors are warped and would need muscular strength to open and close. Dinner buffet was served in the basement when the Air conditioning is not working in the Lobby level restaurant. They have removed all the warming burners by 9.30pm. Food was cold. We have to wait till they warm food. The Air Condition was too cold in the basement that after serving the dinner food was dead cold before you start eating. Out side view from the hotel room window was depressing. We would NOT recommend this hotel to future foreign guests.

I stayed there for 6 days during my official program. I found that the hotel was very good to stay at the same time very cheap with cleartrip.com. However, the hotel can avoid the late evening drinks used by the occupants at the passage of the floor. The smell was very ulergic to all. Otherwise, it is worth to stay

The hotel is just ok... nothing great about it... dont know about the location, but its 15-20 mins away from the Chennai airport... Food was alright, rooms are fine... service was a bit slow... Restaurant was ok... not yummy food... but ok for a 1 night business trip where u dont expect too much from a hotel....

First of all I am so sorry to write such a report. I have earlier written a review on this hotel last year and it was a good one. After that I had visited this hotel more than 3 times. I thought on all my previous visits after reporting my issues to them they would change. My stay in this hotel is not less than 10 days. My last stay in the month of August was the worst stay of my life in any hotel. Usually my flight to Chennai from Dubai arrives early morning and once I come to the hotel nobody will be there to help me with my luggage. There is one guy but he is too sleepy. Anyways once we reach to the reception the attitude that they show to us is unbelievable. Lazy guys. Even if you get a room key it will never work. That is confirmed. You have to come back to reception again and get it done. So once you enter the room as usual you will get your welcome message by a running cockroach. Don’t look into the A/C vent and the key hold area. You may re-think of changing the room. Its like damaged due to huge water leakage. The wooden panels are damaged and looks ugly. And more the color of the panel (dark brown color) makes it scary. Room is clean, I mean the bed. No comments on it. Bathroom is average. Water is just salty. Problem of Chennai I believe. I stayed in this hotel for 12 days as I had an important meeting in this hotel. I was hoping each day may be it will be okay. But it was a mistake. My A/C was not at all working and whenever asked the guys they say will come.. will come. WHO WILL COME? Every day I had to keep my window open and sleep. Lucky I got a fan in my room. Now don’t ask me a question of changing the room. Same on every room. Once you put A/C on all the 11 halls then the machine don’t have enough power to feed other rooms. I visited the Unit which is located at the backside with the help of one guy and could easily see that this machine can’t even supply for 30 rooms at a time. I spoke to the Manager and got a reply that it will be okay. I was not able to fight with them as we have a good relationship with them. So I really don’t want to spoil it. But finally I got the reason behind this:- This hotel is now only concentrating on Marriage functions and meeting as they have about 11 halls of various sizes. The remuneration that they get from one hall per day is double the rate of all their rooms per day. The best example of this is you catch an auto or taxi and tell them you want to go to Hotel Vijay Park they will ask the location. Now you say you want to go marriage hall in Arumbakkam they will not ask anything and will drop you right at the door steps. On all days evening this hotel is crowded like anything. You will have to wait may be for 20 minutes to get into the lift. I have rarely used the lift. Uncultured ( sorry to use this word) people don’t even look if there are anybody waiting for the lift, just simply rushing into the lift like anything else. Can’t complain them. There are at a time 50 - 60 people waiting for 3 lifts at a time. Now the lift is fantastic. Due to constant use, zero maintenance, this stops in all floors and by the time you reach 6th floor you will be squeezed and tired. Now goes with the Room Service. WHAT A JOKE. You order some food and gets delivered into your room, before you finish the food minimum 3 guys will ring you bell for collection of the plates. Just for tips. The interesting factor is they are not from the restaurant. They are just room cleaning boys. Now if you keep the plates outside you open the door next day morning even at 10 the plates will be there. Just try it yourself. If you find the plates cleared I will take this review back. 13 days same thing. I even told this to their Manager but still no change. Restaurant staffs lack training and customer care is just a distant thing for many of them. I even instructed one of the restaurant staff not to go an embarrass your guests by asking their room numbers while they are talking their food and arguing with them. Later on after confirming with the reception they simply come and say to them okay sir. Night shift did not hand over me the new report. Two or three time I heard this conversation in the restaurant. Overall this hotel rooms require a major modification. Lifts needs to be upgraded as the current ones are not meeting the demand in any way. All hotel staffs need to be trained for their job. Most of them literally don’t have any idea what they are doing and why. And also give the staffs some neat clothes. Its dirty. For any kind of meeting this is the cheapest place that you can get in Chennai. Anyway I am again travelling to the same place for another 7 days meeting but this time a big NO to this place. No more review on this place. May God bless them. Such a nice hotel with a good name and very sad to see this in such a pathetic situation.

The ambiance of the hotel is very good but the services are very poor .The maintenance is so poor cant be explained.Their lock system(Swipe card) really troubled so much ,every time to get recharge and most of the time does not work and come downstairs and again recharge. Mine luggage locked inside and they opened the door with the help of rope from window that to after annoying so much otherwise they said you will get next day your luggage .AC and hot water mixer not worked properly .Terrible experience and they cheat in the bill also don't disclose actual rate and at the end they make mess and you cant do because have to catch the flight.
"The worst hotel I have ever been to"

I had booked a couple of rooms as I had a family function in the same hotel in one of the Halls. Firstly, the electronic key did not work. When i went back to the reception they changed something. When i came back the room had a pathetic look. The AC was running with a loud noise and there were stains in the toilet. The other room for my friend was only marginally better. We tried to call the reception and every time they would say that they would send some one to look. But, this never happened. This means calling the reception atleast 8-9 times and visit in person about 4 or 5 times. The receptionists were really unprofessional and they treated you with absolutely no hospitality. We had to event , so left the room hoping that when we are back something would have changed. But, to our utter dismay we only found that one AC stopped working and the AC noise in the other room has become louder. Practically we were swetting. The reception guy or the manger harshly told us that we cannot chat with more than two people inside the room and the due to the visitors from the other room the AC stopped working/unable to handle the capacity. That's the stupidest explanation I have ever heared. There are more things to say, but i would like to stop by saying we forego our entire booking cost for the night and shifted to another hotel. And, the funny part whe n we were leaving ever single person in the hotel was expecting a tip :-))

Stayed there with Family. Reception looks good. Don't get inspired by the reception look and feel. Issues faced: Room key (Electromagnetic Swipe Card) not working. They changed two times Plug points are loose, very careful otherwise end with electric shock Kettle and Hair dryer in the room have the plug in US style. But room plug point is Indian style. No hot water for both. Room service is pathetic. Waited for 1 hour to get the hot water (For drink). Good: Late check out allowed. It is good. South indian food is good. Not sure about north Indian (Don't try Panier Butter masala)

this hotel desperately needs maintenance-the doors are warped and would need muscular strength, plug points come along with the plug . when you call housekeeping at 4 in the morning to complain about the lack of hot water in the bath, you are told to wait till 5 am- guest service is certainly not on top of the list-stay only if you cant get any other hotel in chennai.
