"Excellent little get-away spot!"
This was a perfect little spot. The room was excellent. The service perfect and the breakfast was delicious and great with bacon, freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit, and a wonderful oatmeal dish (and I'm not a super oatmeal fan but loved it)! It felt as comfortable as home. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Vic took great care of us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super comfortable getaway"
Warm welcome and extremely comfortable room. Fireplace in "Fall" room was gorgeous! Wish we'd remembered swimsuits to try the hot tub. Wine and appetizers was a very nice touch, breakfast was plentiful and delicious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautifull place and location, neat rooms and good vibe. The receptions people was very helpfull and gave us a lot of relevant information. Very recommended to book the entire place if your a lot of people, also very nice for couples.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The house is very pretty, although a bit old; needs some touch-ups. Unfortunately, we were on the ground floor, so we could hear people walking upstairs. Erin, the manager, was very helpful, giving us tips about restaurants and things to do. We didn't get to eat breakfast the first morning because we had early plans and breakfast is served at 9am sharp […] without any accommodation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stop Over"
Sketchy but friendly training by trainee Manager. Nice room with balcony and fireplace log ready to go. Wine and appetizers at 5pm enabled us to meet other guests. Breakfast was as close to a continental breakfast as you can get per the Manager, but the freshly made compote saved the standard continental breakfast faire.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great inn in good location and great inn keeper"
We had very good experience with Oleander house even after we came back home. Unlike other inn we stayed last year in Yountville Oleander house is well maintained and clean. Room was cleaned and towels replaced every every day. Room had LCD TV with a huge screen (never seen screen as big in any other hotel) and as a bonus Direct TV with premium channels. […] It had a balcony with a glass table and chairs where we enjoyed our late meals with a nice bottle of wine watching sunset and relaxing. Balcony was in the back surrounded with tall trees so no road or any other noise, very private feel. Inn is located in a couple of minutes of walk to two wineries and "Mustard Grill" which is one of the best restaurant I ever visited (make reservation - otherwise wait time is one hour). After we returned back home we discovered that we left some clothes in the room but owner sent them to us next day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Warm & Friendly"
Staying hear was as comfortable as staying with dear friends. Before we even arrived Vic, the Inn Keeper, was looking for reservations for us for Dinner. When we got their the room was beautiful and the bed was amazing. Vic sent us to the Goose & Gander for dinner, one word AMAZING and during the wine and cheese hour we spent time getting to know him […] and about the house and it just felt like family. My wife and I were in Napa for a charity fundraiser for veterans and made a trip out of it, boy were we glad we stayed here. Great place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice b&b. Only advice would be to add blackout blinds on the rooms facing the road as you can hear cars all night and lights shine in from all the lighting they have in the front yard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable B&B with great breakfast"
My husband and I spent five nights at the Oleander B&B in November 2013. We felt very comfortable from the start after meeting Kathleen, our hostess. Our room was on the second floor at the front of the house and very comfortable. We did not have any problems with noise from the street and slept well each evening. Kathleen prepared a delicious breakfast […] every morning and spent time with her guests sharing stories and information about Napa and the surrounding areas. Kathleen also was helpful in recommending places to eat and suggestions for sight seeing within driving distance from Napa. We also enjoyed being greeted each morning by Max (the poodle) her loyal companion. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Inn keeper was marvelous. Room in the back was quiet. Next door to Mustard's. Breakfast was delicious; served family style with all of the guests sitting at a large dining table; a great opportunity to meet new people and exchange information.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would love to have stayed longer!"
A perfect place for an anniversary getaway. With a winery on either side that you can walk to, a wonderful (busy!) restaurant within walking distance, and a fantastic outdoor hot tub, we would have loved to stayed more than one night. And the hostess, Kathleen, was wonderful. Made us feel right at home and the food was delectable. The house was easy […] to find and right in Napa Valley. "Great base for a wine tasting weekend"
Location great for a Napa Valley wine tasting weekend. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The full breakfast is delicious and the family style serving at 9 am promotes meeting new and interesting people. Our stay at the Oleander B & B was wonderful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our innkeeper, Kathleen, was delightful!
Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My husband and I stayed here in October, and couldn't have chosen a better bed & breakfast. The innkeeper was so friendly and welcoming, she helped make the experience memorable. Breakfast was delicious, and our room on the main level was large, with a walkout patio and comfortable bed. My only complaint is that staying downstairs, you really can hear a lot through the ceilings if the people above you are walking around, which woke us up a few times...but nothing that I'm too terribly upset about, thus by 5 star review!

I don't travel to Napa county often, but all my expectations were fulfilled when I stayed at Oleander House. The rooms are big and comfortable, the home is beautiful and well maintained and the service was excellent. The breakfast was good as well. Some other bed and breakfasts serve a continental style breakfast. At Oleander I got bacon... Everything is better with bacon. Anyways, I am happy with my stay. It is conveniently located right off the main road, and I would stay there again soon. The inn keeper was nice and helped me find and book a spa treatment for my wife and recommended some nice wineries to visit.

Oleander House was the perfect place to stay during our 24 hour Napa experience. We drove past it noticing the "vacancy" sign, turned around and went in. Deana was friendly, showed us around. The downstairs room was available and we were thrilled not to have to lug the luggage upstairs. The room led to our very own patio. Some reviews have mentioned noise from the hwy but we noticed absolutely no noise. We walked to dinner next door at Mustards. The breakfast was delicious and enjoyed talking to the other two couples. Then left for a quick drive to our tour at Robert Mondavi Winery. The Oleander House and staff were just what we had hoped for and received on our vacation.

This is a great little B&B right outside of Yountville. Breakfast is homemade and rooms are kept neat and tidy by the great staff. The ONLY drawback is it's a bit noisy if others staying in the house are the least bit clumsy/coughing/or talking. Carafes of wine; French press coffee; tea and soft drinks are made available making you feel right at home.

Perfect location in Napa to stay as it's on the main road and close to everything with a car. Host is gracious and makes a fantastic breakfast. Rooms clean and very comfortable. The husband offers hot air balloon rides (extra of course)
"First time visit, but surely not the last"
10/24/14 Danielleb129 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I had never been to the area, nor had I ever stayed at a B&B, and I do not think I could have picked a better place. It was the most comfortable and relaxing part of my 10-day journey through California. I wanted to extend my stay here for the duration, but only had two nights. The home made food was amazing! I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed here last week and we were very pleased. The house is charming and you feel right at home immediately. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable and the breakfast was a hearty start to a busy day. The real, working fireplace and the beautiful, comfortable, and elegant bed linens made our room warm and inviting. At 5pm they serve a wine and cheese spread and it is a wonderful way to meet new friends and find out more about the area. We highly recommend this B&B!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Oleander. Very very comfortable beds, peaceful rooms, and everything was in great condition. Very friendly and helpful people - thanks for all the tips! We also liked the garden, and spent a great evening in the back garden by the hot tub chatting with friends - they brought out some snacks despite being a little late for the afternoon snacks - which gives you an idea of the extra mile they go to to make sure that the guests are happy. It's ideally located for restaurants and wineries - it's only 5 minutes to the French Laundry, for instance - and less than 30 minutes from virtually any winery you might be visiting in Napa. Although some people have mentioned the traffic noise, I for one slept right through it. and to be honest, a fall of rain is louder than the traffic, though one may be more aware of traffic. We stayed in a room facing the highway. Breakfast is communal, and perhaps a little biased towards the dessert-like rather than the savoury. When we're next back in Napa, we'll be back.
"Good location but noisy. Careless with security."

This is a cute little inn, but be forewarned - if you are coming for a nice quiet inn you will be disappointed. The location is right on the highway, but even though the inn is set back a bit from the road, the noise from the highway can be heard inside your rooms. Putting aside the noise, our other issue with this inn was the carelessness of the house cleaner. We left in the morning to go on a balloon ride and locked our door behind us. When we returned we found that the door to our room was wide open. Not just unlocked, but completely wide open! The cleaning lady had apparently started to clean, but stopped midway through. We looked down the hall, but she was nowhere in sight. Luckily nothing was stolen, but we were just shocked that the inn would be so careless when it came to the security of the personal belongings of their guests. Outside of these issues, the food was good and the inn was well-kept, and the french press coffee was a nice touch, but I don't think I would choose to stay here again.
"Comfortable Friendly Place, Great Breakfast!!"

On recommendation of my brother and sister in law I stayed here this past weekend with my husband, my daughter and her fiance. We were in town to celebrate my brother and his wife's 25th wedding anniversary down the road at Inglenook Winery and we stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday We received a warm and gracious welcome from Lena and Vick and were shown around the house. My daughter and her fiance had room 1 on the ground floor. They enjoyed the patio outside their door and easy access to the hot tub. While ear plugs were provided against road noise, neither of them used them nor did they complain of any undue traffic sounds. This was their first time at a B&B and they were quite charmed. My husband and I were upstairs, facing the back in room 2. I found the room a tad chilly, but my husband absolutely loved it. We were told this was the coolest room in the inn, so if you are like my husband, it's the room for you. There was a fireplace that we were invited to use, but we did not. The room was nicely decorated without many of the typical B&B nicknacks. There was plenty of room for us to place our belongings. The ceilings were high and the room quite spacious. We had a private little deck and enjoyed taking our coffee (self serve teas, coffee, water and sodas are available 24/7) out there when we awoke a bit early for breakfast. We heard several varieties of birds, including a rooster (which sounded enough to be funny, but not so much as to be annoying) At 9 am we joined the the rest of the guests -- a full house -- around the long table for french toast with fruit compote and syrup and thick country bacon, as well as fruit salad, OJ and coffee and fine conversation. At 5 pm each afternoon guests can gather at the landing upstairs for light appetizers and wine (same location as the 24/7 coffee area). That was a nice touch. In the same area a lap top is available for anyone to use and there is free wifi throughout the inn. Each room has a flat screen TV wall mounted. On Saturday night the four of us emerged from our rooms in our formal attire for our party and Lena offered to take photos of us in the inn's lovely gardens. I could not recommend this B&B more highly. We would definitely like to return if we can!!
