"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.

"Tribeca Film Festival Visit"
The service and location were excellent. I was attending the TribecA Film Festival and I plan to stay here again when I do the festival in 2013. The subway was only at the end of the block and it was relatively easy to catch the appropriate trains to the various venues in the tribeca area. The hot breakfast that came with the booking was also a plus […] as well as the evening events offering light fare, wine and beer. I highly recommend it for its location, service and economical price compared to other hotels in the vicinity. Read more
"A great Facility"
I love this hotel - have stayed here several times, and will do so again. The rooms are spotless, very comfy, and the staff is top-notch. Having the kitchenette in the room is a huge plus, if only to reheat and consume the yummy leftovers from the couple of nearby restaurants (head toward 9th Ave and enjoy!). The breakfast and receptions are great, […] but very, very very crowded. I suffer from claustrophobia, and could not hang. My only negative comment about Staybridge concerns the elevators - there are too few of them, and they are too small for the occupant density. Budget 10 minutes to get from the lobby to your room, and vice-versa, and you'll be sure you are not late for your business meetings. This is not the hotel's fault - too late to do anything about it now... it's more of an "expectations thing". Read more

"Good location"
Hotel was clean even with the bed bug issue via the internet. Did not experience any. Staff went out of their way to ensure good experience. Breakfast buffet was tasty. My only complaint was the slow elevators. This is not a personnel issue but rather a building design flaw. The building needed another elevator. Sunny at the front desk was especially […] helpful. Would stay again if in New York City. Read more
"Staybridge Suites Times Square- Excellent Choice"
The staff was very welcoming from the valet to the receptionist. The location of the hotel is perfect to view all of Times Square within walking distance. Valet services parked our vehicle when we arrived, and we did not use our vehicle until we left. I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit Times Square.
"Staybridge Suites Great Place"
The staff was exceptional. The hotel is right next to the bus station...close to the subway...walking distance to Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Theater District, Central Park...etc. Nice reception in the evening with wine and beer and finger foods. Would definitely stay there again.
"Nice hotel close to Time Square"
Room was very quiet (even next to the elevator door) with comfortable beds. Loved the small kitchenette. Subway was approximately 3 min walk and Time Square 10 min away. Breakfast was fair with repeated scrambled eggs (usually cold) and choice of cereals and pastries on majority of days. Omelette on one day was excellent. Mid stay, a guest checked in […] with a dog that barked for hours. The front desk told us we would have to change rooms if we were disturbed by the dog. Luckily the dog stopped barking after the hotel staff spoke to the guest. Hotel is close to restaurants and attractions. We would stay here again! Read more
"Friendly Staff, Great Location"
The location of this hotel is wonderful. Just a few blocks away from both Times Square and the Javits Center which made my work trip perfect. Hotel staff was great helping us make dinner reservations and directing us to fun attractions. I will be staying here again.
"NYC Weekend"
Ultra clean room and lobby. Rooms were comfortable and fair sized for NYC Hotel. Full kitchen was great to have and very unexpected. Breakfast was decent and included in price. Very rare in NYC. Parking was conveniently located next to hotel and fairly priced. Location next to bus terminal was a minus but hotel was conveniently located near most theaters. […] Overall very pleased Read more
"Staybridge Suites in Times Square - amazing hotel!"
Aside from the FREE beer, wine and appetizers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5-7pm (Stella Artois on tap might I add), our hotel was amazing! I am a college student and decided to visit NYC for my spring break. The hotel was affordable for my budget, close to Times Square, and had awesome service. We had a refrigerator, stove and microwave […] where we stored cheap food that we bought from the drug store (Duane Read) about 200 feet away from the hotel. We also got Time Warner Cable for the times that we wanted to relax. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay there again! Read more

Loved staying @ The Staybridge! Great hotel! Even has refrig and microwave and little stove. Very cozy excellent bed, bathroom and service. Hope the price will be right to do it again.
"StayBridge Suite Times Square"

"Solid value for Manhattan"

"Great value"
Overall the hotel was a great value. They provide breakfast every morning and have a happy hour Monday - Thursday. They provide appetizers and wine during happy hour. The only two negatives are- the elevators are extremely slow and the showers space is tiny.
"Staybridge Times Square"
The hotel is in a very convenient location and it was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the view, and would definitely stay there again given the opportunity. The only drawback is that the breakfast isn't nearly as extensive as the advertisement states, and it is hard to find out where the food is even located. Otherwise everything else was great!

"Great value per price"
Great Price, Great location, Great service. Highly reccomended. Minutes from everywhere.
"Staybridge Suites, Time Square, NY"
Thie hotel was a great value, due to the inclusion of a hot breakfast and mid-week evening receptions.
"Location and Amenities"
Staybridge Suites Times Square is a good sized hotel, but still quiet, even though our room was directly across from the elevators. The beds are softer than my taste, and the pillows are soft rather than foam, but that was our only complaint. Loved the modern decor in our room and the lobby and common areas. The complimentary breakfast was extensive […] and amongst the best quality of the hotels I've experienced. The staff was courteous and helpful. Upon our departure, one of the front desk walked half a block to get us a cab! The room had a cooktop, large refrigerator, cabinets with cutlery and dishware, a microwave - everything you'd need. The bathroom was clean and modern. Nearby you can find 2 Brothers pizza (corner of 9th & 40th) - wait outside like the locals until new pies come out of the oven, then swoop in for a slice. Easy walk to Times Square fun. I would stay again and recommend this hotel! Read more

Researched for a hotel for two weeks to ensure perfect location, security, no bed bugs, free WiFi and free breakfast....This was top Notch and got it for an excellent price!! "Terrific location"
So glad we found this property! Very convenient to locations we were interested in as well as the subway. The included breakfast was great and helpful to have to prepare us for our busy days. This was a trip we took with our 17yo granddaughter and we couldn't be more pleased
"excellent in most regards, would stay again."
staff was lovely. snacks on weekday evenings are plentiful and include beer and wine. breakfast good, and served as early as 6:30, eggs and bacon and yogurt available. our dishwasher mysteriously could not be turned off, there is a full kitchen in the room ~ maid must have turned it on for a single glass. needed engineer to shut it down. only one light […] at side of king bed, would have appreciated 2. tv and other appliances appeared new and unused. room immaculate. the elevators are in constant use, get a lower floor so can walk down rather than waiting. i called ahead to be sure that our sheets would not have been exposed to dryer sheets, specifically Bounce, to which i am highly allergic. they washed our sheets instead of sending them out, without argument, this was much appreciated. there is a full laundry, very clean, and free. "Roomy for NY"
The rooms in Staybridge are probably one of the more spacious rooms I have stayed at in NY. Don't get me wrong, its still small because its NY. The hotel is modern and offers complimentary breakfast and also free wine in the afternoon! Staff is fairly nice. The only downfall is that they do not have room service.
"Staybridge-great location"
I couldn't have been happier. The hotel was two blocks from Times Square off on a side street so no noise issues. Subway station at end of street and across street was the Port Authority bus terminal. The rooms were contemporary and very clean, I would say spacious for NY. It had a full kitchen with everything you would need, though we didn't use it. […] Bed was very comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. There was also a full breakfast buffet included everyday which you can't beat. The only downfall was sometime had to wait a few minutes for an elevator, but I'm sure this is the case with any highrise hotel in NY. Read more
The front desk was promp, friendly and courteous. The room small but tastefully designed and clean with everything you need being away from home
"A Pleasant Surprise"
I travel to NYC at least once a year for a vacation with friends. Normally, I stay within a block of Times Square and the hotels (that are fairly reasonable) are "worn" and "just sufficient". I happened to come upon Staybridge Suites - what a wonderful experience! This hotel was like a breath of fresh air - very clean rooms, modern feel, wonderful breakfast […] included - I couldn't find anything that was a negative with exception that it was a little bit of a walk to Times Square and the "neighbors" on the same street (bar, adult store, parole bldg.). Please note: we had no problems with the "neighbors" or those that visited those establishments. Read more
"Great Hotel"
Great room and breakfast, very clean. Convenient to Times Square and other area attractions. Would stay there again.
"Kid Friendly, Convenient and Clean"
I have children and I must say, the convenient location to Time Square and Bryant Park and shopping was absolutely perfect!! The kitchenette would have come in handy if we stayed longer. But food in NYC is not expensive anyway. I was so happy after walking all day to arrive back to the hotel to a complimentary "Happy Hour"!!! - Nice!! - I really needed […] a beer and a glass of wine at that point. The complimentary breakfast is perfect when you have kids!!! It's something you don't have to search for (or pay for) before getting your long day in NYC started. (I work in a restaurant so, please - don't forget to tip the staff!! - After all, you are getting a FREE meal!! A little generosity goes a long way!!) The door man was extremely nice and accommodating!! He was very "New York". I find New Yorkers to be friendly and helpful. Just strike up a conversation and find out for yourself. I am from L.A. and I always heard bad things about New Yorkers... not true! I have always had fun with the locals. Two things you should know; 1) If you have more than one child, take a cab!!! It is easier and most times was cheaper than the subway. 2) If you are driving into the city, the Lincoln tunnel is 3-4 blocks away..EASY! Parking at Staybridge was reasonable for 24 hours ($25). If you stay longer, hopefully you can get a better deal. Staybridge should realize that people within driving distance of NYC would visit more often if the little things like parking fees were complimentary too, or at least a much better rate for a 3-4 night stay. Just a thought. I would be remiss if I did not mention...there is an adult "book store" on the same block, but I did not feel afraid. This is NOT a creepy area at all. I hope this review helps fellow travelers to make an informed decision and I hope you have as pleasant of a stay as we did! Happy Travels Read more

"Staybridge Suites New York City - Great value"
Short walk to TimesSquare and I am a Texas girl that does not walk unless she has to. Our room was clean and had all ammenities including fully set-up kitchen (even if you don't need it, it is nice to have.) Free hot breakfast and evening snacks were a plus. We spent our money on high end restaurants and tourist attractions instead of hotel food. Staff […] was great, concierage knowledgeable and when I called to get extra feather pillows and linens, housekeeping was there in a flash! Would definitely recommend! Read more
"Excellent hotel!"
I love, Loved, LOVED this hotel. The rooms are small, but gorgeous and comfortable. The location is perfect - right in Time Square and the garment district. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The free wine and cheese tastings were very fun and relaxing, and a great way to meet others staying in the hotel. The continental breakfast was splendid […] and a fabulous way to start the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to New York :) Read more
"Staybridge Hotel"
The staff, especially the general manager, were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The rooms were attractive and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
One day our room was not cleaned at all.
"Staybridge Suites in NY- close to Time Square"
VERY nice hotel! Very comofortable bed and clean rooms.
"Great stay"
Enjoyed the time in NY and the Hotel was a great help. Only complaint is the elevators. The mornings are terrible. Had to wait way too long to catch an elevator.
"Clean and modern, well-priced."
Nice hotel. Seems modern and sleek. It was clean and well-run. The price was reasonable, by New York standards. The location was close to the garment district and theatres. There are a couple bars and clubs easily accessible. Only negative - the showers are pretty small.
