We had a great time. The place was much better than the Inn we stayed in last year and we will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Mary and Bill were warm and welcoming and extremely knowledgable and helpful regarding surrounding hikes, shops and activities. The breakfast was lovely and the bar was well stocked! For the price you can't beat it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely place & covered bridge entry you cant miss"
Great hosts Mary and Bill....very knowledgeable of the area and best routes to view Fall foliage. Fun to chat with in the lovely bar or dining room. Will come back again someday....all the way from Oregon!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Room... Excellent Food"
This place was a great find! We had a wedding to attend about 25 minutes away and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. We chose Birch Ridge Inn based on price and reviews and were incredibly happy with our choice. The innkeepers, Bill & Mary, were so charming, welcoming and informative... offering lots of suggestions to us and other guests about […] what to do and see in the area.Breakfast was excellent both mornings but even better was our lovely dinner in the restaurant the first night we arrived. There was a great selection of entrees complemented by excellent wines recommended by Bill. Put this inn on your list and you will be so happy you did. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything we wanted. Mary is quite the host and still surprised she has time for the outstanding landscaping out in the back. Jack can keep you up late at the bar even if he has an early morning tee time. We'll be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very pleasant place to stay. No issues or concerns about recommending it to othersGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Quintessential Ski Lodging"
Loved, loved this B and B! More like an inn, this 10 unit establishment was warm, welcoming and comfortable. We arrived with another couple for an ealry ski weekend to find great accommodations and a very welcoming host and hostess. Even though it was fairly late, Bill enthusiastically opened the lovely bar and made us some terrific cocktails. I expected […] Bing Crosby to jump out at any time singing White Christmas---the place is wonderfully decorated with a fantastic fireplace and comfortable conversational seating---a perfect place for friends to spend time. In the morning our hostess, Mary, served us some fantastic muffins and breads and eggs in a puff pastry. My husband, an early riser, went in search of coffee before breakfast time. None was ready yet, but 10 minutes after he returned to our room Mary knocked on our door with two steaming cups--unbelievable! The Birch Ridge is conveniently located right down the road from the Killington ski areas and in walking distance of all the area restaurants. All in all this was a great place to spend a ski weekend with friends--- soooo much better than a non-descript hotel room! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A great experience. Bill and Mary were most gracious hosts. Our room was rather small, but we wanted an inexpensive room. We were quite satisfied with everything. The breakfast was wonderful. We would stay here again without hesitation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Place in the heart of Killington"
Ths was a really nice inn to stay at in Killington. Location was convenient to everything, ski resort, restaurants, etc. Owners were very nice. Bill ran the bar in the evenings and Mary the morning breakfasts, which were very tasty. We only expected a continental breakfast so were surprised by the hot entree and service. The restaurant was closed for […] dinner since we were there off season but will try it when we go back for skiing. The menu looked amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. "A wonderful getaway!"
This was so charming~ from the covered bridge entrance to its mountain rustic charm. The innkeepers were so helpful and friendly, and knew a lot about the area and its attractions. The room was really nice, as well. Definitely a wonderful alternative to the big chain hotels out there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best Inn in Killington!"
Birch Ridge Inn was fantastic - very convenient, just down the road from Killington (mountain), near restaurants, etc., right down the street from the market. Yet, it was set back from the road in a beautiful wood-lined location, with gorgeous gardens. The Inn itself was very cute and quaint, complete with an nice dining room, Great room, and bar. The […] room itself was nice, clean and comfortable and had everything you need and even in its quaintness had modern ammenities such as WIFI, HDTV, air conditioner, and fridge. The Innkeepers were super nice and helpful - even gave us maps and suggestions on where to go and what to do. Full breakfast is included, which was great. Since it was summer, it was super quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay again!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very romantic, very cozy and close to everything! The only place to stay at Killington!! Only drawback - the bed was very hard and there were minor stains on the carpet. The food and restaurant were fantastic and the staff was exceptional!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Ski Weekend!"
Wonderful place, very cozy and delicious food. The location was perfect - right on Killington road, across the street from the Wobbly Barn. We had a terrific weekend with Mary and Bill - we will be back!Genuine Expedia guest review
Immediately upon entering the Birchridge Inn, we were greeted by the friendly staff. The room was comfortable. The shower stall was really comfortable. Getting around the town of Killington was a breeze because of the central location of the Inn. We had a wonderful time!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location for skiing"
The hotel is in a great location for Killington and offers a genuine but untailored service. As long as you do it the hoteliers way you will enjoy your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but are spoilt by TV's that are so small you can't see them and/or are hidden behind the wardrobe so that you can't see them whilst sitting on the couch. […] There are no tea/coffee making facilities and you have to ring the reception for a cuppa - impossible when the phone system is broken (as we were told that the 17 year old 'reliable' system had broken down the night before our arrival) or the reception is unmanned (most of the time). Breakfast is ok as long as you have exactly what the hotelier will deliver. Asking for two boiled eggs each morning was a major trauma with the hotelier honestly saying she didn't know how to boil an egg. Turning up the first night of a seven day stay to be told that the restaurant was full and that we could only have a late table after a lonfg exhausting journey did not set things off to a good start. We booked a six day visit to Birch Ridge Inn over the internet in order to relax before we returned home after our exhausting visits to Washington and Boston. The Birch Ridge Inn certainly delivered and exceeded our expectations mainly due to the wonderful hospitality of Bill and Mary our waitress Aisia and the great chef who we never actually met but whose food we enjoyed every night of our visit. Lovely cosy and relaxing with a great breakfast and the best meals we enjoyed during our trip to the USA. Cannot praise enough - enjoyed relaxing in "Bills Bar" after dinner and sorting out the worlds problems with Bill whilst enjoying his collection of malt whiskies from our homeland. Mary ensured we covered all of the highlights of lovely Vermont giving us clear directions as to where to go in each day of our visit. We followed her instructions and enjoyed the best of Vermont thanks to her local knowledge and guidance. We arrived as strangers not sure what to expect and left as friends having enjoyed a wonderful six days.

We stayed for 3 nights in October, 2014. We were leaf peepers, on a driving trip checking our the beautiful fall colours of Vermont. Mary and Bill looked after us from start to finish. Mary had fresh baked cookies each day in the mid afternoon. The room was nice and well appointed. The bathroom was a good size – counter space was a little limited, but not a big deal. The bed was queen size, and very comfortable. Lots of parking available. The location is about halfway up Killington mountain. There are probably 10-15 restaurants nearby. If you wanted more restaurant choices, you’d have to drive to Rutland or Woodstock – both about a 15 minute drive. Ditto for shopping, as there isn’t much shopping on the mountain, other than sporting equipment. There is a gondola ride to the peak of Killington – it would be about a 1-2 mile drive further up the mountain from the Inn. We took that and it was worthwhile. The Inn has a full service restaurant, as well as a separate large bar. We’ve stayed at B&Bs before, but never had a restaurant and/or bar on site. This was a nice touch as it meant you could stay on the property in the evening if you so chose. Bill and Mary were around a lot to help with anything we needed, and to tell stories about the Inn or their lives. The restaurant was lovely. Very small – maybe room for 25-30 diners – and the menu only has about 10 entrees each night, but we found something that piqued our interest each night. The food was excellent. We ate at the restaurant 2 of the 3 nights there. Breakfast was wonderful each day. There are two options each morning – a hot item (French toast one day, frittata the second day) or you can have a cold option – cereal and breads. Coffee and excellent orange or cranberry juice was provided. The day we left, we were on the road before breakfast was available, but Mary had set aside a tray of muffins and bread for us. This was a very nice touch. The rate was reasonable for October in Vermont. All in all an excellent stay.
"Vermont greatest hits"
09/26/14 Paco R Key West, Florida, United States
The inn keepers take care of every single detail. Their own creation breakfast recipes are served next to a handpicked natural flower bouquet (they look like fake, but go ahead and smell them, they're from the garden). The cozy rooms are very clean, the whole property is immaculate. We decided to follow their suggestions for hikes, driving and dining and had the greatest time. "Great start of our vacation"

This was our first time at an inn instead of a hotel. We loved it from the welcoming peanut butter cookies and beyond. The bedroom was immaculate. Only drawback was the sink was very small and it had a glass ledge right above so you really had to be careful spitting out your toothpaste but this would not prevent me from staying in this room again. The frittata in the morning was yummy and the breads. Mary and Bill were so very friendly and Mary really helped me plan our route the next day as it was very complicated.
"Like being at a friend's home"

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and were the only guests, so owner Bill gave us his full attention, being greeter, bartender and company, and breakfast chef (in Mary's absence). Our room was a comfortable size, with a good king-size bed, and the bathroom was well outfitted with plenty of towels and spacious. The TV over the gas fireplace at the foot of the bed was cleverly hidden by sliding pictures. Bill's breakfast the first day was a veggie and sausage frittata, with accompanying fresh muffins and sweet breads. Second day - blueberry pancakes with both a blueberry sauce and real maple syrup on the side, with bacon. Kudos to Chef Bill! We enjoyed our stay quite a bit, and he was helpful in suggesting restaurants and walks.
"great owners display their love of the place and the business"

I went for one night after the Long Trail 25th Anniversary party. Bill greeted me immediately and took me to my room and ensured I knew how everything worked. I met both Mary and Bill in the bar and enjoyed the conversation, the cocktails and the food. Lots of seafood options, even though you are in Vermont. Room was spacious, quiet and clean. Breakfast the next morning was great with wonderful bread and some quiche options. Again, Mary was very gracious and accommodating to everyone.

We love the Birch Ridge Inn! We have stayed here multiple times, but never during the summer. The owners Bill and Mary are lovely hosts. They are great at answering any question and can even supply toothpaste if you have forgotten yours. The inn is quiet, quaint and caters mostly the adult crowd. The bar is great and Bill and the bartender Marisa are great at keeping you up with good conversation. The restaurant is lovely and the daily fresh baked muffins and bread courtesy if Mary, are scrumptious, as are the cookies in the late afternoon. We stay here every time we visit now if there is room!

We decided to book a last minute get away for our wedding anniversary. A visit to Birch Ridge Inn was in order. We arrived and were warmly greeted. Our room was spotless. The inn was centrally located for our weekend activities. We were extremely pleased, it was a great weekend.

We stayed at this B & B Inn over the July 4th Holiday. Mary and Bill were most gracious as hosts. King size room., overlooking the mountains was very peaceful, immaculate and pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful., one day stuffed French toast and other a puff pastry with a scrambled egg surprise.......will all the fixings. This would be a wonderful place to enjoy the Fall foliage or ski season., as very close to slopes. Summer is great for exploring region. As you enter the hill., you travel under their own covered bridge......very New England and very sweet! A wonderful Vermont Inn.
