Don’t know about the standard rooms as we were up graded. Our room was clean, modern and with good fittings through out. Fantastic views are available from both sides regardless of what floor you are on. Swimming pool is a bit small and with the conference/meeting room over looking it was a bit concerning. Great location for walking around the small […] bay with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Sebels M restaurant was good value with fantastic food served all day. The friendly and helpful staff at the Sebel made our stay that much more enjoyable. If you are planning a trip to Mandurah this is an ideal place to stay because we will be on our next trip. Got down graded, wanted a bathtub as specified, told room wasn't ready, shower had a leak every half hour water dripped on floor, that must be why a towel was left on floor in shower. The room wasn't dusted, surprisingly, No shower robes.The room needs redecorating ( wallpaper, ceilings, back of door, rusty shower fittings, room looked dated) for a […] 4 star hotel the room was sub standard. The food was overpriced compared to surrounding venues, you would expect a reasonable rate for guests, and as for a surcharge for delivering meals that was just cheeky. No spa??? Well we wont be booking again any time soon. Its a pity because I did read reviews before I booked, but thought some were a bit extreme, not so, I will try another Hotel in the future. Here is a tip if you haven't got someone's room ready... don't down grade them without offering them some form of compensation, try upgrading that would make the customer much happier. Read more

Having spent three months in the USA there is no doubt the cost of accomodation and meals in Australian hotels is excessive. I would not go to Mandurah again, possibly by pass and go straight to Margaret River. Understanding that the costs there would be comparable but at least there are more things to do as a tourist.

We booked an overnight stay here, following a long haul flight from UK, via Singapore. It's under an hours driving time from Perth Airport, and so allows one to clear the city before too much exhaustion. It's a lovely hotel in a wonderful waterfront location. I unfortunately left my ipod behind in our room, and they contacted me very quickly, and then arranged to have it forwarded on to me. ( I wonder how many UK hotels would do this?) The food and drink available in the adjoining bar/restaurant are also very nice, albeit a little expensive. (Wednesday nights, are half price for bar meals) Having stayed overnight as we arrived in Perth, before travelling South for a week, we were so impressed that we re-booked for our return before flying out the following week, and we plan to return next year fro a longer stay. The following day I had a $50.00 pending transation levied against my Mastercard that held funds for a number of days before the charge was withdrawn / released. We had a few issues on the first night we were there, broken air con for one, but it was dealt with quickly and professionally. We were disappointed when we moved to find out that our first room was a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom was very basic. A very comfortable hotel with nice rooms and free parking in the public car park adjacent. A bit of a walk from the local eat street, around 15 minutes, but parking is easy if you have a car. The best thing i can say for this hotel, is location, location !!! To have the hotel, sitting right on the front of the waterfront, with a boardwalk to lead you right around the many restaurants, and on to the other side, of the foreshore was great. The only downside to this hotel, if any, i would have to say, is the pool area, and gymnasium. The best aspect of this hotel is the board walk around the estuary which is just outside. This gives access to shops, restaurants,the concert hall and cinemas, all less than five minutes walking distance. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, but generally the decor was plain and uninspiring.. The down stairs bar was noisy on the Friday night we stayed, but did quiet down by 11pm. The staff were helpful and friendly, They did take a $50 bond from our credit card when we checked in, which took 3 days to be returned after we left, surely a credit card imprint would have been enough. It was a rainy day when we arrived in Mandurah. It was the most rain that Western Australia had received in a long time. The hotel was a bright and cheerful refuge with an excellent room. After a beautiful bath and rest we set off for dinner at one of the nearby restaurants located around the waterfront. We spent one night here on the way to Margaret River. The room was a king studio with river view. It was an unusually large room with great decor and fantastic huge balcony. Only a short walk to the restaurant, which had a great menu, service was probably a bit lacking but the food made up for that!
