Excellent stay. Was greeted by a very friendly staff person, sorry, didn't get her name. Checked out with a very friendly rep named Heather. Thought I left something in the room. Received a follow up call from Melissa. We can't say enough about the staff. We will be returning in a few days and are looking forward to another great stay. Thank you.

The Admiral Inn was a charming hotel, well maintained and convenient to all of downtown Victoria. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet and even had a sofa and easy chair in addition to coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was shocked and saddened to learn the property has been sold and will be torn down to make room for luxury condos. One less good, inexpensive place for folks to stay.

The Red Lion Hotel In Vicotia BC is one of the cleanest hotles I ve been in. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are all very modern and in good shape. Each room has pots pans dishes , silverware, microwave, refridgerator and stove top. fantastic for the price.

I love Victoria and love to stay at places that are close to the town, but not in the town. Pau's Motor Inn was a great surprise! Clean, friendly, convenient, and great food in the restaurant. I especially liked the wonderful people that work there. They were all courteous and informative.

"not best or worst"
It's basically a good place to crash before hopping on the ferry to BC. Older hotel with typical older hotel issues. Not horrible, but would expect nicer for as much as was paid for room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Snowshoeing Hurricane Ridge"
Hotel was just fine for what we wanted. We needed a place to stay before heading up to Hurricane ridge, and it was cheap and convenient. Not a pretty place at all, and loud in the morning, but suited our purpose just fine. My only complaint was about the continental breakfast in the morning. "Affordable"
Other than people talking outside our door at 4am, the stay was acceptable. They need to fix the toaster(the handles are broken), but we were all able to fill up on breakfast before our trip to Canada. "nice hotel"

"Good for the money"
The rooms a basic setup, nothing really special. They were clean and well maintained. The beds were a little too firm for my liking. The bonus of the rooms is that they came equiped with a small refrigerator and a microwave. "Cleaning staff"
I have stayed here many times. Although I like the convenience. The staff is so unprofessional. This last time, the maid stuck her head in my window. Asking when we were leaving, even though it wasn't time. Another time I was there, a maid walked into my room had the door hanging open all the way. I was in a towel only, and she proceeded to stand there […] with the door open asking me completely ridiculous questions. And this last time, the manager checked me out a day early, they had to call her and verify if I could even stay in my room. I am not a paranoid person by any means, and think I have been very forgiving. Being as we stayed there when we were married, we enjoy going back there.. Also the hot tub is shut down, and online is advertised that there is one. Not the pool the hot tub. Which has in the past been working in cold weather. also the tv cable was broken, she did try and fix it, but my husband ended up fixing it. The staff stands around staring and talking and laughing under there breath. We were the only people there and they knocked on the door over 5 times. I have my own business and would like to be informed if my staff were behaving so unprofessionally. The one staff that stood out was the front desk, kind and helpful, & the breakfast they provide is nice. I picked this hotel from the Internet for price & the convenience for taking the Ferry to Victoria from Port Angeles. I could not have been more pleased. "As expected except breakfast"
About what you expect from a Days Inn, except the breakfast had rotting fruit and only carbs for options. Ended up breakfasting at Starbucks rather than eat there for free. Room was clean though and the hotel felt safe.Genuine Expedia guest review

"VERY TIRED"

"Rescued by great staff"
When we arrived art the hotel we discovered that Hotels.com had booked us into a smoking room. On Labor Day weekend I did not think that we would have any option but to either loose our money or take a very smelly room. When we arrived back at the check-in desk our dismay was recognized and delt with with courtesy and kindness. "Close to National Park"

Our only complaint was when ordering through Hotels.com we requested and got confirmation of a room with king bed. Instead our room had two full size beds. We were told Hotel.com makes reservations through another third party, and there is no guarantee of room type when making reservations this way. Arrived later in the evening and had no problems checking in. Given a handicapped accessible room at the far end of the third floor which would be a trek for a handicapped couple/person. This is a fairly large motel of three floors with only one elevator, a small breakfast area, but plenty of parking.
