Residenza Betta - Guest House - Florence

We were suprised upon arrival to find that there was no lift but Ms Betta had her son come down and help with the luggage and the stay only got better from there. We loved this place and its owner!! Very homey. Large room with a good sized bath room. Any questions we had, Betta gave us all the answers and information we needed. Bus routes, Museum info […] and anything else we needed. This was an excellent big room with a big bathroom and wonderful balcony with a lovely courtyard view and was very clean and comfortable. The best part of this expererince was 'Betta,' the lovely lady who runs this bed and breakfast. She went out of her way to show us how to get the bus and where to go to make our stay the very best it could be. And […] the bus stop is right in front of the hotel's door and was so convenient. In addition, she made our Anniversay extra special by putting champagne and cake in our room - she is our fondest memory of Florence and we hope to see her again someday. Also if you go to Florence, don't miss the 'Taste of Tuscany' tour with Walkabout Tours - it was outstanding for the cost and we saw a lot on the tour. The only caution I can offer is that the air conditioning gets turned off at the beginning of October in Florence and you must open the windows with no screens for air - so take OFF towelettes for mosquitoes. Betta was fantastic! The rooms were large and spotless. The location is good and you're no more than a 15 minute walk from any of the major sites in the city. There is also ample, inexpensive on-street parking and nearby garages. Breakfast was good. We stayed with our kids and they loved Betta. Our stay at Betta's B&B was quite enjoyable. Betta was very delightful. She greeted us with such enthusiasm and made us feel very welcome. She was very helpful in advising us on what to see. The location is great. There were restaurants around the corner and we walked to most of the places of interest. Busses were also convenient. Even though the establishment […] is on a busy street the room was very quiet. The A/C worked fine. The only thing I did not enjoy was the bed, it was not at all comfortable to me. My stay here was amazing! Betta was so welcoming the very first second I walked in the door. She gave me a map and helped me figure out where to go and why. Traveling alone, it was nice knowing I had someone to talk to and go to for advice on the city or even about the language. Betta was kind enough to even help me practice my Italian! The rooms were […] extremely clean, comfortable, simple, and modest. The location is about 10-15 minute walk from the Duomo (depending on how fast you walk). Breakfast was always nice as Betta would freshly cut the meats and serve you breakfast drinks if desired (I'm not a coffee drinker so I skipped that option). She is ALWAYS available if you have questions, as evidenced when I called her at 22:00 because I thought the lock was broken...no that was just me not paying attention. If I had to put in any 'negative' feedback. I suppose it would be that if people get in late, you will probably hear them enter and chat as the walls aren't super thick, but it wasn't crowded and by the time I was up and about, everyone else was. Oh and the TV only had a few channels, so I would check off any 'stay in and watch TV' days from your itinerary. Let's be honest though, I was site-seeing most of the time so the TV options didn't even bother me. I honestly believe that Betta made the trip for me and I would go back and stay at her B&B anytime! This was a brilliant start to my 2 week, solo adventure in Italy. Read more

Excellent location within 10 minute walk into the centre, with a bus stop right outside . Parking is plentiful ,close by but it costs 18 euros per day (free on Sunday) This was a lovely welcoming B&B and there is not much i can say that hasn't already been said. Selve hotellet var fint og simpelt, det er ikke stort, men værelset var rigtig pænt og med stor terasse. Hotellet ejes af Betta, som også tager imod når man tjekker ind... og så hygger hun ellers om én. Hver morgen laver hun den kaffe man ønsker til morgenmaden, og hun er meget behjælpelig med gode råd og ideer til ferien. Hun opfordrer til, at man […] endelig skal købe vin og nyde på hotellet, og der er køleskab på gange, så man kan opbevare sine indkøb. Der er kogekedel og kopper på værelset, og badeværelset er stort og funktionelt med masser af varmt vand, god belysning m.m. Il s'agit d'une pension au 1er étage d'un immeuble composé de 6 chambres. Betta est très agréable. Elle est disponible pour expliquer les bons plans de Firenze. Chambre très correcte et propre.
