Cheteau Mcely is located not far away Prague and is truly an amazing place if you want to relax for a day or two. It is set in the middle of an amazing garden full of hidden corners and amazing art. The hotel can truly live up to similar hotels in Germany or Austria. First of all it is very carefully decorated, renovated with customer well being in mind and the staff is very service minded. We had one of the higher end suites which had L'Occitane amenities that I personally love. We basically spent the day lying in the grass int he park, sipping Apperol and reading a book. There is a nice little pond with a beach, spa with an outside jacuzzi that you can even book for a private session. In the evening, visit to the Piano Nobile restaurant is a must, with its innovative but still local flavored food. Breakfast is simple, but all you need and offers great Ala Cart made dishes again with some local flavor. If you want to relax for a few days and be looked after well, this is the right hotel for you to visit.

This Chateau is just wonderfull in every aspect. The staff is so friendly always prepared to help, the chef is excellent and hotel is just so cosy and warm. I highly recommend to visit the spa and get some of the treatments as well. We've spent here 2 night and we've been totally amazed. It was just highly above our expectations. Thanks everybody at Chateau Mcely for making our short vacation wonderfull :-)

"Very good first trip to Mcely"

We had booked to stay here for 1 night as part of a pre-wedding package as we looked for a venue. Due to flight constraints it was 9.45pm when we arrived and after 10pm by the time we go to our room. The restaurant would normally close at 10pm however we still managed to get a lovely meal. Our room overlooked both front and side aspects but unfortunately the side aspect was the car park, which normally would not be an issue but on the day we were staying the Chateau were filming a movie so there was a lot of loud activity in the car park from approx 7am. My main issue was the heat, the chateau does not have air conditioning so it was not a great night sleep and was difficult to escape from the heat the next day when it was 30 degrees +, I understand there are issues with being a historical building but i hope it can be resolved in the near future, even adding fans to the rooms would help. The food was lovely, but to echo other reviews it would be nice to have a separate light lunch menu, the only menu on offer was the dinner menu and in the heat, lamb shanks etc were not overly appealing. All in all a very good experience and its definitely a venue we are considering for our wedding. Its a beautiful setting and perfect for a relaxing get away.

One of the most exciting places in Czech Republic, everything was above expectation. Nice and clean hotel, great food, perfect service, kind staff, .... But the absolutely the best was the spa. I feld as the most important person in the world by the quality of massage and spa. I recommend this place to anybody. Congratulation to the all Mcely team!
"Amazing place for a wedding"

My wife and I spent a weekend at Chateau Mcely in mid-May 2014. We were there for a wedding. Weather was terrible, everything else was splendid! The service was one of the best I've ever experienced. An example: I had forgotten my white shirt and discovered this half hour before the wedding ceremony... the Director of the hotel lent me a shirt...! Food was excellent, all the services impeccable. The design is amazing and they have thought of every detail. Would recommend to anybody, any time. As good as it gets.

This is a terrific place. The setting and gardens - and the house - is a gem of tranquility and luxury. The food is outstanding and everyone is overwhelmingly helpful and attentive to make your stay one of the most enjoyable experiences of your holiday. We would recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting Prague and wanting a relaxing break from all the sightseeing and tourists in the centre.
"The best week end we have never had !!"

Chateau Mcely is THE perfection: luxury, nature, specific details wich does the difference between a luxury hotel and Chateau Mcely. The Chateau is in a huge park, near the forest. The garden is perfectly arranged, a part is ntural, with a very nice natural swimming pool, the sauna and jacuzzi. You can have a private outdoor jacuzzi, alone, with an incredible view on the czech campaign. The rooms are nice, big, with beautiful views, very well cleaned. Everywhere in the hotel are there some comments over the history of the Chateau. The breakfast is perfect: a part on a buffet but the rest (free) "à la carte" (in the price of the breakfast you can choose 5 dishes "à la carte"). You have fresh juices (fruit and vegetables) - everything is extremely fresh, done "à la minute". In 2 words: above expectations !!!! Congatulations !
"Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend"

Chateau Mcely is an incredible place. It has been renovated very tastefully, and sits in extensive grounds which are already pleasant and will only improve as the landscaping matures. There are numerous spa treatments and facilities available, but book in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. Make sure you get up onto the observation deck at some point during your trips: you'll get a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.
"Long Overdue in Czech Republic"

We have been returning to Prague for about three months every year for the past eleven years (giving post-gradual seminars for US medical doctors who love to come to Prague periodically every Spring) - and we had sadly missed a suitable place where one could escape during the tedious weekends that are a signature of every big city. In Chateau Mcely we have found, at last, such a place. As our children are grown and "out of the nest", the present centre of our life is a little Westie dog, who travels with us everywhere and goes with us to all the hotels and restaurants we frequent during our meanderings to various research and educational centres throughout Europe. Well - Chateau Mcely is a real paradise for such little four-legged friends! The grounds are beautiful and expansive, the chateau itself is pet-friendly in every meaning of the word, the restaurant has a special menu for pets - as I said, a true pets' paradise. The owners of the chateau did a magnificent job re-building the old structure some eight years ago into a place that offers all modern facilities while preserving its traditional roots (never an easy task under any circumstances). One could, of course, find aspects of the resulting modification that could be improved upon (e.g., the lovely, spacious bathrooms have only a single little handbasin with no surfaces where a lady could place her cosmetics, the bathtubs are small while there is plenty of empty space around - a space that would allow for a large, comfortable tub, the lighting fixtures, while very elegant, do not give sufficient light to allow for reading - etc.) - but all in all, Chateau Mcely is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy times reminiscent the era that is almost non-existent in today's country hotels - and surely not in any other place in the Czech republic. The restaurant is correct, above average among hotel restaurants. The Chef is neither Freddie Girarde nor Ferran Adria - but we have experienced just about the entire menu during our stay at the Chateau Mcely and there had been not one single dish we had tasted that one could not classify as "good". The deer with wine-reduction sauce was excellent. Service, in general, is the real forte of this establishment. The reception staff exhibits exemplary behaviour that could compare to anything one finds in the best country hotels in the world - and the restaurant waiters are simply perfect in their effort to help the diners at Chateau Mcely to enjoy their experience. Price is a bit sharp for local milieu - but, then, this type of luxury is never cheap, not unless it is somehow subsidised by an invisible entity. We would strongly recommend this country hotel to anyone who wishes to enjoy the unique experience of spending "high quality time", as our brothers Americans say, in immediate vicinity of lovely city of Prague! You will be returning to Chateau Mcely from then on... jdsepes, Geneva
