"Far the best service I have ever seen"
01/26/15 Kaka3 Prague
Maybe the hotel itself is not the best. Still the rooms are quite small, with average furnishing and I would expect for such money better and bigger bathroom, but you will be stunned about the staff. Everybody is smiling at you and the are willing to do anything you ask. We were at the kitchen to see how the make their specialities. We wanted DVD to the room, no problem 230 art movies. You need anything, you got it. Restaurant is simply fantastic. On of not many places, where you really forget the real world arround you. Briliant.
"Very good stay again"

It was complicated stay, because we came at first time with our little girl. But our stay was very good organized, we were able to visit treatments in the spa, we had the most meals in decent conditions in our room. We completed afternoon tea with our friends in the restaurant too. The staff is willing, but repeatedly makes mistakes in confused billing. Luxury and expensive hotel, perfect stay again. Recommended
"Lovely and luxurious stay"

This chateau is absolutely wonderful! We had a fantastic stay. The interiors, the eye for detail, the culinary delights, the super friendly staff and all the extras (like homemade snacks in your room) made it one of my favorite getaways. If you love style, service and comfort, this is your perfect hotel!

super food especially at dinner, reasonably priced including excellent wines, unique service in all phases of the hotel-- activities, rooms, side trips, message etc. Of special note, we brought our two agting Mops (Pugs) and one of them, Edna got sick and died in my arms in the back seat of a chauffeur driven hotel car that took us a half hour to a 24hour Vet hospitol. The driver, David, made arrangements for creamation and delivery to a hotel in Prague where we were going subsequently The hotel did not charge a penny!!! The focus was on the heart, not the pocketbook. As part of our package we had a beautiful fresh Cristmas tree in one of our rooms, free sauna, message, or facial and an open horse driven carriage ride in the beautiful countryside. To top it off they had a beautiful room in the cellar to smoke my cigars!!! A detailed video traced the true labor of love that the owners went through to completely and painstakingly renovate every inch of the property to it's present gracious state. Nevertheless, the property would still not be what it is today without the total committment of not only the owners but every single employee as well. A magnificent job spendidly well excuted.

"Incredible space for relaxing and sensual enjoyments"

In this chateau you can find the space for intense relaxation, scents, tastes, all mixed with a lot of luxury and a bit of eco approach. I feel a big respect for the owners of the castle who achieved to turn a ruin into a dream project of their life.
"What a lovely destination"

What a wonderful place to have a wedding or spend a little time away from the chaos of Prague. The restaurant is excellent, views and outdoor space grand, and a tour of spa facilities made it clear that time there would be very relaxing. The hotel is absolutely spectacular in its interior design as well and both inside and out no detail neglected. While hotels of this sort may often discourage children, this one seems to welcome them.

After spending 6 nights in Prague's hotel Aria we left the hustle and bustle of the city behind and drove for less than an hour to the Chateau. The ride itself was scenic and beautiful. We did some research on the internet prior to arrival, reserved our room months ahead of time with the prompt and helpful emails from Denisa. We thought the place will be special but our high expectations were exceeded. We were warmly welcomed and surprised by the amazing accommodations, as we were given a suite, beautifully furnished- and most importantly to me, with the serene view overlooking the beautiful park. Wine and fruit with a kind note from the General Manager Ing. Plch were greatly appreciated. Oh, and the delicious macaroons left at bedside at night! We stayed overnight and had time only for a walk on the property on the day of our arrival. We spent part of the next day sitting and socializing on the outside deck, with the white furniture beautifully accented with lavender pillows and herbal container plantings. I was so intrigued by the owners' renovation story, that I was very happy to just spent some time learning about it, looking through the books and albums that documented the process. The amazing details - from luxury fabrics for draperies, furniture, the moldings, the ceilings details is something not to be missed. I loved the original sweeping grand staircase- just so glad that it "survived" the renovation. We had an excellent dinner in the Piano Nobile restaurant in the "plate" section of the dining room.(It merits a separate review). The breakfast was lovely as well, I just could not get enough of the soothing and calm feel of the dining room in the morning sun. We visited in the middle of September and the weather was on our side. There were pristine white loungers to take in the autumn sun, while sipping an herbal drink, pillows and blankets on the lawn for a yet another type of relaxing. I did not take the time for a spa treatment or the sauna, but I would have definitely done that if we had more time. Having spent my entire career in the fragrance and cosmetic industry in the US I was impressed by the wonderful line of cosmetics developed by Mrs. Cusumano and available at the Chateau. We did have time to see the wine cellar, peeked in the library and last but not least climbed the steep steps to the observation deck to photograph and take in the magnificent views. Once again, our great thanks to everybody for making us so welcome! Our only regret when leaving in the afternoon was that we planned our stay for one night only as we were on our way to another destination. I grew up in Prague during the communist regime and know full well how many treasures were destroyed by just pure neglect during that era. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Cusumano for bringing this beautiful property back to life in the style it deserved!
"Beautiful setting but sadly a dissapointing experience"
09/20/14 Review s Vancouver, Canada
We visited Chateau Mcely in the summer of 2011. We had originally planned on staying at the hotel for 5 days but when making the final plans for our trip (Copenhagen, Vienna and Prague) we decided to spend more time in Prague nd only stay at the Chateau for 2 nights. I had been in the contact quite a few times by email as I wanted everything to be perfect. In the end I decided to book through SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) which the hotel is a member of. We had rented a car and drove from Prague. The drive was beautiful and the shall rural country roads (once you leave the highway) were scenic. The setting and surrounding area is nothing short of beautiful. When we arrived at the entrance to the property we drove past the sheep that are in the photos. The sheep are wooden carvings and look quite life like. Our check in experience was disastrous. I had hoped that someone would offer to help us with our suitcases, but sadly this was not the case. We carried everything into the lobby from the car but no porter was in sight, so we had to carry everything up the stairs in plain view of the front desk. Much to our dismay, we were put into the room above the kitchen entrance/exit. This is where the staff goes to smoke, so forget about having the window open. I had read reviews about this room and had specifically requested to not be put into this room due to having bronchitis. It's important to point out that I made the reservation 6 weeks before arriving at the hotel. Even after booking through SLH I reconfirmed directly with the hotel and explained why I couldn't have that room. ld out due to a wedding the following day. Upon arriving in the room I visited the front desk and asked for a change and was told the hotel was soSadly we had to keep our window closed. The room was clean, well laid out but not overtly luxurious. We were very happy with evening dinner menu (although very limited) and the food was excellent! For some reason the next days lunch menu was the same as the limited dinner menu from the night before. Besides the disappointments with the service, being put into the room we were given and short comings of the dining menu we enjoyed the hotel itself. The rolling hills of the country side were great as was spending time by the pool. We too enjoyed a long morning walk in the adjacent forest. My opinion about the hotel is neutral, I had expected so much more from this property.
"Special Romantic POSH"

This hotel housed in a real CHATEAU is located in the Czech countryside. Not faraway from the capital Prague - approx an hour drive. We spent beautiful summer weekend in this special place. Beautiful park, rooms, leisure time facilities - spa massages, elegant hotel restaurant PIANO NOBILE with superb cuisine. Everything in harmony. It is posh and I would never expect such a quality outside Prague. You really feel special here.
